In today's update, I put up the features of the Foreign Megadeuses and Glinda. Thanks to evanASF27 for contributing the descriptions! We're Back!
Posted Thursday, March 10, 2005, 12:54 AM CST by Krang
As you can see, the site is finally back up. Sorry for the unexpected and lengthy downtime, but the site was suspended for its resource usage at a time when I wasn't prepared to move it at all, and it took a while to get everything set up with the new host. But we're back again on a new server, and this should be the last move for a long time. Everything, including the forums, should now be working, so if you notice any errors, please let me know. Thanks again to Zola, Tony, Beth, and ACT for donating, which has helped us afford the server move. Also, thanks to the staff of the Neo-Speakeasy for providing our forum members with a place to post while the site was down.

Viz Survey- Suggestion for Manga Fans
Posted Friday, February 18, 2005, 1:51 AM CST by Shredder
I recently got an interesting email letting me know that Viz, the company that released the Big O manga in English, has a survey up that asks, among other questions, "What other Japanese properties should Viz go after?" If you're familiar with the Big O manga, you may have heard of a 2-volume follow-up series by the same author called "Lost Memories." Unfortunately, this series has not yet been translated into English and as far as I know, there are no plans at this point for a release. If you want to encourage Viz to release this series, the survey is available here. This is also another chance to revive interest in the Big O series in general!

Thanks to Cloudwalker for passing this info on to us!

Merry Christmas, everyone! And since this is a Big O site, I should also say, Merry Heaven's Day! Heavenís Day Holiday Contest!

Merry Heavenís Day everyone! As you can tell by the title, Paradigm City is having a Holiday Contest! What you need to do, is create a Big O Fanwork with a Holiday Theme! (Holiday is any major holiday around the Christmas season, sorry, itís a bit late for Halloween). So here are the details!
  1. Your Fanwork can be a fan art (drawing), fan fiction (writing), or other kind of fanwork (like music video or cake). If you have something you arenít sure is a fanwork, you can contact me, or Krang and Shredder.
  2. You may enter one per category (one for fanart, one for fanfiction, and one for other for a total of three submissions).
  3. It must have a Holiday theme to it (Christmas or the like) and be fan work of Big O. If you want to submit just a general themed work, you can do so here.
  4. Any Big O fan can enter! You donít have to be a member of our forums to enter. All you have to be is a Big O fan!
  5. The contest will run from December 9, 2004 until December 30, 2004-11:59 PM Central. The results will be published on January 4th, 2005, on Paradigm-City.comís Second Anniversary (wow, two years all ready!)!
  6. There will be winners in each category and an overall winner for the best fanwork.
  7. Prizes will be decided at a later date, but suggestions are welcomed! (Please send us your suggestions!)
  8. Any submissions or other questions can be sent to me, or to Krang and Shredder. (Please put PCF Contest or something of the like in the subject heading, this is more for me so I don't throw out your e-mail by mistake).

Itís beginning to look a lot like Heavenís Day in Paradigm City!

Happy Holidays and Good Luck!

Big O Season II Box Set
Posted Monday, November 22, 2004, 10:03 PM CST by Shredder
As most of you probably know, the Big O Season II Box Set officially becomes available in stores tomorrow, November 23, although some retailers may have it early. If you don't already own the series on DVD, this is a great (and cheaper) way to catch up. The first season box is already available, and you can find both for pretty reasonable prices. The new set is going for $30 at, a big savings over what I and anyone else who bought them individually paid! Anyway, enough advertising, but I do highly recommend the series on DVD!

Huge Fanfic Update- 6 New Stories!
Posted Friday, November 5, 2004, 9:29 PM CST by Shredder
Hi, everyone. I apologize to everyone (especially the authors) for the delay of this update, but here it is, one of our largest fanfic updates yet! Tonight, we have six new fics for everyone to enjoy in the Fanfic section! I think there's a little something for everyone here:

-"Meeting Roger" By, Zola. You know the story of the first two episodes from Roger's perspective, but how might things be different from Dorothy's? Read on to find out!

-"The Terrible Weight of Knowing" By, Advinius. Henry was just an old drunk in the Speakeasy, what does he know about memories before the event? As Roger soon finds out, maybe a little more than he was ready to know...

-"Ghost Island" By, Lady Tesser. What's going on over at Rose Velvet Island, just visible from Paradigm City? Is it true that no one comes back alive or sane to set the record straight about the place? Roger and Dorothy attempt to find out in this intriguing mystery!

-"Episode 1: Kazuki, the Reluctant Guardian" By, COHugh. In this Big O/ Dual Parallel Trouble Adventure crossover, enjoy a fun look at the Dual characters in the roles of everyone's favorite Paradigm City residents! Highly recommended to fans of both series.

-"My Nightingale" By, Mr. Peabody. In this sequel to "You're the One," Roger finds himself feeling a little guilty over the spontaneous kiss he shared with Dorothy. Would taking her out to dinner help clear things up, or further complicate them?

-"Belonging" By, Zola. In this sequel to "Sentience," Dorothy finds herself coming to terms with her new-found self-awareness. Is she a "machine," a "person" or something in between? What do her feelings for Roger mean and why does Alex make her increasingly uncomfortable? Find out more in this fascinating, alternate universe look into the entire Rosewater family!

Enjoy these great stories and don't forget to email the authors with your comments and feedback. Happy reading! Happy
