A Big O movie...

I was just think, if not a season three, why not get a Big O movie? I mean by asking for a movie we're not being greedy, but finally get our answer, so what are you guyes thought/ideas about a Big O movie. I thought ;

| After the time time loop, what if Dorothy and Roger met again and broke the time loop, but only for them and maybe Norman. Angel would be completely out of the way and they could finally be happy |
I put in spoiler cues cause of the mention of the Act 26 ending.
There was a topic like this before, but it's a few pages back, so that's okay. Anyway, my idea was not to have a big question answering movie, but instead to have a movie that "rephrases" season 2. what I mean is, it would have completely redone animating, with new fight scenes and everything, and it would be made to be completely fluid, like a movie, not episodic. And they could give Schwarzwald more screen time. Booyah!

Personally, I like angelcake's idea. Not to say your idea wouldn't be awesome, Volt! Actually, let's just make them do both! Yeah! Hehehe.
But no, I think a movie would be awesome. They could really get into the aftermath of the second season and take it a lot of good directions. Maybe, they'd even create enough new plot that they could create a Season 3 after the movie! Yeah that's asking for a little much...but hey, a girl can dream, can't she?
OmegaMan, she meant an animated movie, not live action. You know, like Gundam The Movie, which was a "rephrasing" of Gundam 0079, or Endless Walts (that's all that's coming to my head right now, sorry they're both Gundam).

I don't know about this... Traditionally, anime movies never capture the feel of the anime series. They're either too short, have a hackneyed plot, or it simply doesn't capture the atmosphere of the series, especially considering they have a limited time clock of two hours or so to work with. Then again most anime movies are 45 minutes... How much could they do in what is basically the time for an episode and a half? It would have to advance the plot at a blistering speed, even faster than what we already have in season 2 which is said to have lost a bit of the atmosphere in the slower season 1.

Still... To sum up the entire story in one segment is asking for trouble. I'd say the only 'good' anime movie is the Cowboy Bebop one.
Char's Counterattack is a good movie. A really, really, really good movie.
If they write it well, a Big O movie that's a "prequel" to the series would be great.
Char's Counterattack was good, just too much death... gah, I think ALL the main character's except Bright's stupid son died.

Anyway, I think they could sum up the loose ends in three hours. That's six episodes worth of time, and look at how much has been revealed in just the past episode.

Nobody in the mainstream movie business is going to watch a three hour movie, let alone an anime one. >.>

I have to agree with mAc Chaos here, and with GATX-105, the movie should be a prequel or a continuation of the series that could show a breaking of the loop...however...ALL the major players need to be in it, including Angel....
The movie cant be too long, but the best way to do it would be to have the story be pre-event....

A Big O movie wouldn't be the same without all the characters in it. I think a Big O movie would be awesome..I could go with either of the ideas, but seeing the human Dorothy would be intresting, I think.

Yeah she would be in it.

I mean if is going to be anything like epi.14 she is some type of military person.

| But of course I really would be more interested in learming about the real Dorothy and Roger more than anything. |

Who cares about mainstream movie people? We're talking about an OVA, which is released direct to video, not in theatres.

What do you guys think now that ep. 26 has airred. Do we need a movie or not. Personally I thought there was not enough for the writers to work with for a season 3, but a movie would now be more appropriete? From what I have read in other threads many of you are disappointed by the ending. Also many of you agree with me about there not being enough for the writers to work with. The compremize would be a movie, ne. This would tie up loose ends without butchering the series, and focus on a topic we're still blurry on or feel the need to know about. I found it was a fact of nature that humans are most curious about what they don't know, just a fact I felt I'd share.

I think a third season would be better. It can be how Roger and Dorothy find eachother again. Roger can revive some memories about the Event we saw and have a quest to destroy Big Venus. With Dorothy by his side the whole time

That is a dream that I wouldn't mind seeing come true at all. In fact that could be the best case senario if Big O were to be continued as a series.
And Gat-X105 and Volt, That was Tomino doing his usual thing. It was however a good end to the Char/Aumro rivalry. Although indeed Hathaway should've been taken out by someone or something. What he did was inexcuseable.

How about Roger and the gang transformed into the real world in New York City? It will be better they put in 3D.
Thanks,

Story wise I have no idea if they should make a movie, but if they do,
It doesn't have to be one long movie. It can be some sort of miniseries with somthing like 4 or 6 episodes.
Kind of like a 3rd seasone but without all the filler crap.
