Ok. Here it is. This is the first part of a fan fic that has been brewing slowly in my head. It pertains to the possibility that there might be another city on earth..somewhere. Bare with me....and all reviews are accepted.
The Other Coast
"Cycle complete. Paradigm reinitiated. Super Dome A is now 2 cycles
away from reinitializing full human life." An young yet seemingly worn man
looked over a monitor. "And what of Super Dome B?' said he. "Super Dome B
is also 2 cycles away. The final battle between Diaz, Gregory and Chiaki,
Etsuya will take place in a few weeks. Gregory in Big Horus and Etsuya in Big
Dante." The man sighed...this was getting old to him. Again and again,
decade after decade, he was ressurected to monitor the memories of his race
slowly become reality. "Is that all?" asked the man. "Yes. Will you return to
cold sleep now?" replied the computers voice. "I think I shall...wake me up
when they both finish," he gloomily replied,"..At that time all preperations are
to be made to return to Earth." "Understood sir. Sweet dreams." With that he
was pulled back by mechanical arms, and dipped into a dark liquid. He would
rise again to reclaim his property. It had been long since Big O had seen him.
-------------------------------
Act 1: Curtain Call
"BIG HORUS! ACTION!"
A massive machine soared over the skies of Prometheus City. Its body
was painted gold and black in parts. Its face was white and black. On the
head, two black things stuck out, probably as a means of turning the
creation. The arms were jet engines of some advanced design, and moved it
through the air quickly.
Below stood another massive machine. This one was painted Red and
black, with several ornamental symbols on it. Its head had a sort of
transparent purple visor, and its chest had a large gold emblem. Its arms
were heavily armored, with massive pistons in the back.
"BIG DANTE! SHOW HIM WHAT YOU'VE GOT!!"
The land machine fired a laser out of its eyes, narrowly missing the flying
one. Big Horus counterattacked with similar lasers which missed him by a few
hundred yards. "Your aim is as good as your blood!" yelled out Dante's pilot
over the communications channel. "Look again you arrogant toad." snapped
back the other. Buildings began to domino down toward Big Dante. The Big
simply raised its arm and with a mighty strike of its piston, reduced them all
to rubble. Horus landed infront of Dante and opened fire from its chest, its
propellers retracting and being replaced with fists. Horus finished his assault,
smoke completly covering his opponent. A anchor came flying at the Big,
which slammed at the cockpit. Glass flew at Gregory, cutting at his skin. The
anchor fell down and retracted. Big Dante had been knocked down. It turned
its arms backwards, and with the use of its pistons got itself back up. Moving
on the offensive, Big Horus began punching Big Dante. Its assaults were
made more effective, for with each swing of its arms the thrusters came on,
doubling the force.
Big Horus seemed to be well on his way to victory, but that was not so.
With a simple jab, Gregory and his Megadeus were thrown back into a
skyscraper, suprisingly not totaling it. "BIG DANTE! FINISH HIM!"
The standing Big raised its right arm which expanded into a machine gun
type device. Its hand began to spin. Etsuya laughed, he couldnt believe this
cities hero was to fall so easily. Then..without warning....

Act 1(Cont.):
....A mechanical moan was heard. The firing sequence was stopped.
"Wh-wha?! Big Dante?! Whats wrong!" proclaimed the frightened Etsuya.
The controls ceased to function. Everything seemed to be going haywire.
"NO! I AM IN CONTROL HERE, BIG DANTE!" The screen lit up and words ran
across it.
"CAST IN THE NAME OF GOD" appeared, as it always did. The words began
to contort until a radar was shown with a big timer in the middle. Something
enormous was coming, and he would see what in 6 minutes, six seconds.
Gregory fired up the engines of his Megadeus and flew up. Big Horus
extended its legs, revieling the missles hidden in them. The Big began gaining
speed and prepared for its bombing. A man appeared infront of Gregory,
before he pulled the trigger. He said in a booming voice: "Do you see the
pattern? Do you see your origen?"
************************
Gregory awoke in his room, sprawled out on the floor. His watch indicated
4 am sharp. Gathering his strength and senses, he remembered the dream.
His memories had become disturbing ever since he followed the girl in red to
the ruins by the sea. He owed to much to that girl...his fortune, his power, his
house, and his loyal friend Leon.
He swore he would protect people agaisnt the lies that the Prometheus
Corporation, the band of men and woman who control and named this city,
put forth. Big Horus, the Megadeus who rose to meet him, was his means of
protecting the people from the dangers that the Corporation rouses. His
paper, the Chronicle of Truth, helped enlighten them. Now, that he is so close
to his goal of truth, he gets horrible dreams of this battle as well as that of
others. The white monsters of the sea, the black kings of the land, and of
course the rainers of fire and brimstone from the sky. Then there was the
man. The man who speaks to him...the man who told him of another city also
covered in domes. The Leviathans of the desert which attack periodicly, were
said to originate from that city, as were all machines of combat. Gregory could
only watch and wonder...what is the purpose of this city...why is he able to
control Big Horus while no one else can? What makes him special?
To be continued.

Has ANYONE heard my plight?! No? Well then...for anyone whose interested...here is the next part to Act 1:
[Edit:2/18/04. Made it (slightly) easier to read!]
Act 1(Cont.):...He pondered this fact in the dark for a long while until
his stomach demanded nourishment. He moved to the kitchen quickly, his
long legs reducing the amount of effort needed. After scavenging enough bits
of food to satisfy his hunger, he descended the staircase to the basement.
"LEON!" he cried out. A young man, barely in his 20's, popped up. "Yes?" he
said with a resentful leer. Gregory smiled and said unto him:"Good morning!
How's Horus doing?" Leon replied "Major repairs from your little tango with
Big Dunkle are done, though you might want to lay off the eye laser a bit.
I need to go to the junkyard to salvage the proper metals to avoid blowing the power core."
He finished. Leon went over to a nearby sink and wiped off some oil on his hands.
"By the way Mr. D, another one has been destroying the old buildings near the Beachside Dome." said Leon almost in a monotone.
"Thanks for the heads up" Gregory walked past him, sitting down on a automated walkway and zipped away quickly. He arrived in a big hanger,
which could have easily housed ten or so large passenger planes.
In place of them there was but one, giant humanoid robot. It was the
robot that had so often penetrated his dreams ever since he had seen it. Big
Horus, as the girl in the red hood called it. Dressed up originally as a
monument to the god Horus(of some place he had heard called Egi-ipt), it
was a machine of war from before the Great Loss of all Memories. Upon
finding it, the girl in the red hood said it was his fate to pilot Horus to fly
across the continent to see the beginning. Of what he could not comprehend,
but nevertheless he planned for it. The recent arrival of the other Bigs
sparked several memories to be recovered in various people. Big Dunkle, the
Dark blue megadeus of the sea came with frightening force. Its pilot, the
negotiator-in-training Robert Johnson lost control to it. It took skill and the
loss of part of its head, but Horus preveiled. Big Dante, however, is another
story for another time. Gregory went over to the cockpit and called it its
name. "BIG HORUS!"
The cockpit opened and a ladder descended. He climbed up quickly and
into his giant robot. The ladder retracted and the cockpit closed. He flicked on
every switch, put in the password, and placed his hands on the controls
when they descended. The words "CAST IN THE NAME OF GOD: YE NOT
GUILTY" scrolled across the screen.
"Showtime." The propellers of the Big began spinning, and the doors
infront began to open. The megadeus advanced rapidly, the boosters coming
on. As soon as it reached the opening, Big Horus blasted off magnificiently.
Turning on the full jet mode, Gregory flew over Prometheus City toward the
coast, were another monster with no memories was wrecking his town.
Horus retracted its wings and began to hover down slowly, the plates on its
chest spinning. "ACTION!"
Hellfire rained down on the target. "Danger Threat Assessed. Kilodeus
Level.Rank: C-" appeared on the main screen. "Can you see it? Its bound to
its home like you are! CAN YOU SEE IT?!" Gregory let off the triggers and
moved quickly towards the sound of the voice, inadvertantly turning his back
to the threat below. The Kilodeus was large tank like thing with an
Archetype-style torso sticking out. Its upper body opened and reveiled
several missles salvos as well as machine guns. "WHO ARE YOU!?! WHY DO
YOU KEEP ON TALKING TO ME! WHERE ARE YOU!?"
Big Horus was hit in the back hard, knocking off his thrusters and
causing him to drop fast. Gregory reignited the engines and regained
altitude, feeling a bit lightheaded from the sudden drop. He dove at the
inferior mecha, and rammed it. The monster lost balance, causing it to fall
over. It fired more missles which simply hit the ground, making a crater.
"You've dug your grave...NOW REST IN PIECE!" Gregory aimed for the largest
salvo of missles, and began to gain altitude. The abdominal part of his Big
opened up, revieling several small bombs. Big Horus dove suddenly, dropping
some of its payload, and rose again. As the bombs detonated the poor
creature into pieces he said quietly under his breath as he always did:"My prayers are with you."

Yes! THANK YOU! Im in love with Terminal Completion right now...which(by PURE coincidence) seems to also have a character that transcends time and space.

02-16-2005 04:40 PM |
But I didnt read yours before I started writing mine. Act 1(Part 2) was the first reference to this being. Its not like its one and the same guy...(FYI, This took place before act 1 of the original Big O.
| Lyinginbedmon |
02-16-2005 04:44 PM |
I'm certainly hoping it's not the same guy (Do you know how annoying it is to right about two guys with the same name in the same conversation? (Happens a lot later on in Nemesis))
| Generalissimo D |
02-16-2005 04:55 PM |
Oh yeah...its the same guy. And Big Horus,Dunkle, and Dante appear in Nemesis, pwn everyone, and end up getting caught in Big Venus's reset...screwing up Paradigm and Promethus along with everybody in them...

I know...I know...I wuz too. Dont worry about it, I do that to lots of people. N-e-way, here it is. The next and last part to Act 1. Betas needed to fix this hunk of junk up! now...without further delay..
------------------------------------------------------
Act 1(Cont.):
Big Horus returned to his nest soon after his assault. Greg jumped out
of his Big and wondered. The man in the sky, the man in his mind. "Picture
yourself on a boat, on a river, with looking glass people and marshmellow
skies..." Greg spun around. Lucy was standing there, looking at him. Lucy
was the pack-in from hell. She was in Big Horus's cockpit when he first
opened it. An advanced android, though she did not look it, with processing
capabilities beyond any machine yet found active in Prometheus City. "Lucy in
the sky with Diamonds?" replied the peeved pilot. "What else have I been
singing for the last 40 years, Mr. Diaz?" Lucy laughed and jumped toward
him. Greg began running toward the door when she jumped at him like a
dog."GOTCHA!" The dominus was rammed through the door by the sheer
weight of her mechanical body, and fell down face first. This android had done
nothing but cause him pain; her very AI was driven by a song she heard
when she was sealed away. Leon came on the walkway towards the hangar
and she was at it again. The mechanic laughed aloud before he yelled:"LUCY!
SIT GIRL!" The moment she heard it she sat on the nearby stairs. Gregory got
up, looking more disheveled than usual. "How many...how many goddamn
times have I told you....DO NOT DO THAT!" Lucy grinned and looked at him.
"Mr. Diaz, I thought you liked women jumping all over you? And besides...its
the least I can do to show my affection from freeing me from my prison." Greg
fumed and said under his breath: "What I wouldnt do to shove you back in..."
Lucy perked up. "Did you say something?"
"Nothing at all." he replied. Greg walked past her toward the walkway,
going back to his room. He picked up a new device he had gotten recently. It
was called a "tele-phone". He he attacted the earpiece and mic and punched
in the numbers to his old friend Fire Head. Someone answered the call.
"Hello? Who is this?" said the person. "This is Gregory Diaz. I need to see you
soon old pal, your advice is vital." He replied calmly. "Gregory! Well if you
need it that bad, meet me at Joe's Bar in 15 minutes or so. Its been a while."
Click. The call was ended. Gregory straightened himself up and went to the
garage. He groped for the lights and flicked them on. Greg moved toward his
motorcycle, his prize possesion. Jumping in, he noticed Lucy was curled up
like a cat sleeping in the passenger seat. "Confound you. Get out of my bike."
"Aww...but I want to see Fire Head! He's my best friend in the whole
wide world!" complained the android. Damn, he thought. He was her best
friend, and would probably be delighted to see this manic little doll again.
"fine..but no interruptions." The dominus revved the engine and opened the
door with a switch on the bike. Riding out of his driveway, he sped on into
the Main Dome. He was again going to the heart of Prometheus, in the same
fashion with the same android, in the same motorcycle, on the same road,
(and though he did not realize it, the same exact outfit) that he went in the
last time. The time he first fought Big Dunkle.
END OF ACT 1.

A very fitting ending, to a very intriguing story! I can't wait to find out who the ominous voice is in the sky, and Lucy seems to be a great parallel from Dorothy
Regarding Tim, as you'll no doubt guess later on, he's pretty much God incarnate (hence his ironic atheism as noted at the start of The Whole Family). He and the other Overlords influenced a lot of Earth's history before the Event and have become just a little bit 'peeved' (understatement of the century) that they have since been completely forgotten and erased from history...
As such, Tim is extremely powerful, and as the creator G..Overlord, he makes a lot of things and is a key story component in himself. He even created the Joutei, who appear at the end of the series.

Fun and joy! You'll never guess who it is. Oh...Lucy is an everlasting homage to all the rabid fan catgirls out there...which I thought was necessary. Act 2 might come tonight, or tomarrow, so wait for it. IF anyone else who has been reading this wants to respond...please! ALL FEEDBACK is accepted! You think its the single greatest writing since the bible, say it! You think it blows harder than gale winds, say it! Only with you guys can it write better.

Here it is. The First part of the second Act. Please...someone other than Lyinginbedmon(no offense to him) write..
---------------------------------------------------
Act 2: Intermission
Gregory rode into town, looking at all the streets for signs of that
mysterious person. Riding along was Lucy, looking around like a demented
demon-child in a candystore of death. Greg spotted the tattered sign that
read Joe's Place. He stationed his ride near the entrance, enabling its security
system. Lucy got off and the bike covered itself in armor, similar to that of
Horus's. The wheels deflated as they became incased. Lucy grabbed his arm.
"So they'll think I'm Mrs. Diaz!"
Gregory walked into the restaurant with Lucy constricting the blood flow
to his arm. No one except a blond lady in the corner was eating, and the
waitress was listening to the radio. Greg walked up the stairs towards the
bar. When he entered a orchestra of wolf-whistles and ooohs sounded off as
Lucy came into sight. Greg sighed. For an android girl, she was, to put it
tenderly, well-endowed in all areas. With the exception of her glowing eyes
and pale skin, she could have passed as a model. She wore the same clothes
she had when she popped out of Big Horus and onto Greg. Pants that had
been faded white, as well as a black shirt that fitted somewhat tightly on her.
Leon, out of necessity, gave her his favorite black denim jacket. Gregory
always wore black pants, white shirt, with a large overcoat of some color or
another which today happened to be dark blue. The aggravated Greg walked
straight past them to the back table, where Fire Head was again sitting and
drinking lemonade. His real name no one knew, but everyone called him Fire
Head, and quite appropriately. There was no one else in Prometheus who
had hair like his. It stook straight up and was colored like fire. Blue at the
roots and redder toward the ends. "Fire Head!", Lucy called out, spreading
her arms out and running toward him. This action, inadvertantly, caused her
to toss our protagonist into the nearest table. Lucy lifted Fire Head up and
bounced up and about. Greg raised himself up, feeling bruised and
disoriented. "Uhh..Lucy..I can't breath." said the bewildered Fire Head. Lucy
dropped him back in his chair and sat right next to him. Gregory stumbled
toward the table, sitting down in a chair across the table from Fire Head and
Lucy. "Oi...So man, how you been?" Gregory said, still somewhat dazed. "Fine
now that Lucy's here," he said as he hugged her,"...so, whats the occasion
for calling me here?"
There was no otherway to phrase it, so he said it as direct as he
possible could. "Fire, I've been hearing this voice in my head for sometime
now that tells me things." Fire Head closed his eyes and rubbed his temples.
The supposed reason for his hair being so flamboyant was said that he could
access random memories and see important moments, which even Greg
himself never questioned. "Lets see. Button, button, who's got the button...."
he said softly. Lucy said "Its probably his fashion sense!" and went into a fit
of stifled laughter. "Wait. WAIT. Getting something. Someone. Foreign. The
place where we you came from." Gregory sat up, attentive. Fire Head now
began to go into his "trance" in which allowed him to preform his ability. "The
end. Planets. Wait. Sorting." He paused. "The person in your head is
someone from the beginning, from the point of origen. The prototype to us.
Knowledge of this will bring about destruction and our end. The planets are
mentioned in this somehow. 'After the Mother brings Bliss to the origen, The
Son shall bring about its Penance to us." Fire Head started to sweat, and
then he broke out of it and opened his eyes. "So..He comes from the
beginning of us?" asked Gregory. "I believe so, I'm sorry, but that was harder
than usual." he said, gulping down his lemonade. Lucy looked emotionlessly
at Gregory. "The beginning. Where you have to go." Greg looked at her,
surprised at this look on her face. He had never told anyone of his plans, but
somehow she knew.
Her face screwed up and she went back to her normal giggly self. "Wha?
What just happened? Did you start your bore-a-thon?" Fire Head and
Gregory looked at him nervously. "Well man, I think thats enough for today.
Feel free to stop by for a cup of coffee sometime. Lets go Lucy." He stood up
and shook Fire Heads hand. "Aww....Mr. Diaz...Cant we stay longer?!" Lucy
complained. "If you want to stay with him, get married, and have little toy
kids running around by all means do," he said with a smirk,"...so if you want
to stay please make up your mind."
Lucy looked nervously at both of them, and eventually went back to
cutting off the blood from Greg's arm. They walked out, Lucy pouting at him.
He put his watch to his mouth and said "Security. Motorcycle. Off." and the
bike went back to its normal mode. Lucy jumped in the side car and Greg
went back to his position to drive. As they went back to his house, he
pondered what his android just did...and where exactly the beginning was.
To be continued.

Muahaha. Ok. [Paste feedback rant here.]
--------------------------
Act 2(Cont.):
Upon arrival at his residence, Gregory became very drowsy and fell into bed.
He slept for hours, until sleep left him and he got himself up.
"Will Special Ops Domini and Mechanics please report to the dock for
departure. I repeat Special Ops Domini and Mechanics please report to the
dock for departure."
Gregory was in a strange place bustling with people. He was dressed up a
gold and black uniform. He looked the ID badge on his chest. It read "Special
Ops. Pilot. G. E. A. Diaz." with a picture of him grinning cockily. Below that was
a bar code. "Special Ops Pilot Lt. Diaz, please report at once to the dock.
Major Smith, report to the hanger. Your presence is requested at the front
line." announced the P.A. again. Gregory looked around and felt himself. He
was not dreaming. Greg followed the signs to the dock and came infront of a
large metal door. "Identify yourself." He thought for a minute and then said
"Lt. Diaz" The door opened and he stepped in. He found himself in a square,
closed white room. "YOU!" he said outloud. Laying agaisnt the wall was
Robert Johnson, the pilot of Big Dunkle whom until now was known to be
deceased. "Yeah..Me. Whats up with him Et?" he said to the man next to him.
"I dont know. Maybe he's taken to many blows in his mech." Etsuya was his
name. The emotionless foriegner who one day came from the ocean in a
rowboat. He looked fairly bored right now. "Well guys, this is it." said a large
man stepping in with them. "So let me go over this one last time. Johnson,
you and Dunkle are going to go out and stop the cruisers and any Faust-class
models you see. They get in here, hells gonna rip a new one. Chiaki, your
cleared for full speed tunneling. Your job is to go lend our boys up the
northern coast. Diaz, your job is the most important. Big Horus has been
outfitted with a payload that can knock out the central base of operation.
Nanofactories have been installed to give you unlimited rockets which should
be able to ward off anything too dangerous," he paused, "well, now that
thats cleared...SADDLE UP GUYS!"
Gregory and the other domini were sucked through the floor. He landed
in the cushioned seat of Big Horus and grabbed the controls. Looking
forward, there was only darkness. "I've got to get out of here...BIG HORUS!
ACTION!"
Light flowed in through the bottom, and he could see something was being
lifted up. It was intense for him, and when it got to eyelevel he felt a burning
sensation. "AHHHHHHHH!"
Lucy was ontop of him, sleeping. She felt very hot, like plastic left out in
the sun. "LUCY! GERROFF ME!" he yelled. The android jumped off and next to
him. What had just happened? A dream? A memory? Something else? Greg
sat up and looked at his special painting. It was that of a city, but twisted
and apocalyptic. He loved this painting, because it reminded him of the lies
that the Prometheus Corp put out and what would happen if they were not
stopped. Looking at the android next to him, he wondered what her
importance was to everything. She was beautiful and all, but he felt wrong to
even think of loving an android. Still, he felt something for her despite she
was annoying, aggravating, and down right insulting. Pushing this thought
out of his head he decided to go walk outside. He was still dressed, if not a
bit messed up. He walked toward the main dome, where he just came from,
and looked about himself. The dominus moved with lazy reflexes, far too
preoccupied with his thoughts. "Do you want to know who I am? And why I
torment you so?"
He turned about quickly and scanned the area. The voice was speaking
in his head again. "Yes, very much so." he said. Gregory felt a sudden pain in
the back of his head. He felt it and it moved. Something was digging out of
his head. The thing finally ripped out and sealed the wound with some sort of
gel. Greg looked at it, petrified. It turned out to be a small machine that
seemed to be almost spiderlike. A man walked out from a nearby building. His
face was conceled by his long black hair, but he had glowing red eyes that
were all to obious. He wore a pure black buttoned overcoat and looked much
like something out of a horror film. "I am Lucifer, the voice in your head. I sent
little Red Riding Hood to show you my greatest creation, and indeed she did.
You've done me proud boy, and I am grateful for your efforts to show the
truth."
Our hero looked mortified at this, and then Lucifer spoke again. "I am
grateful Gregory, for you have done what I could not do. Now come with me.
Its time this city pay its tribute to its mother."

Ok. Here it is. The end of Act 2. Act 3 is now in the works and let me tell you...its got events so freaky,, *shudders*, I get the heeby-jeebys just thinking about it.
----------------------------------------
Act 2(Cont.):
"Gregory...You wanted truth for all and so they shall have it!" said this
demonic being. "Want is this "penance" that this city pays?" asked Greg. "The
penance is simple. This city knows everything while the mother enjoys the
bliss of ignorance." The dominus looked at Lucifer.
"I dont understand. Why is it called the mother, the origen, and the
beginning?"
"Because it is. This city was given live by that one, and this place in turn
breaths life back into it. If you want a better explanation, you should follow
me back to Prometheus Corp."
Lucifer turned on his heel and moved down the street. His movements were
strange; he did not take a single step and yet his body moved at a running
pace. Greg ran after him, barely keeping up. Once they reached the main
corporate building, he was out of breath and strained.
"Come Dominus, and know me better."
Greg followed him into an elevator, which took him unexplicably into the
middle of an office. He stepped out and felt a rush of air pull him from behind.
The elevator and any proof it had existed had vanished. "New nanobot
technologies, based off the same kind that produces the ammunition for Big
Horus." Lucifer laughed and spoke again. "Of course, far more primitave than
those I assure you."
"Lucifer," said Greg, "Get to the point. If you know I have Big Horus and
you know I wont hesitate to call him." He pulls back his sleeve, revieling the
black watch. "Impatient. Exactly as was the first."
The first? What did he mean? Greg looked at him with wary eyes. "As you
might have finally concluded, there IS another city that happens to have
Megadei in them. And we do exist to serve them. We are here to try to
recreate the human race." Greg looked at him, confused. "Are you meaning to
say we're not human?"
"Yes dear boy. We alter the tomatoes each cycle for new people to be born.
You yourself were grown from tomatoes, as was everyone else except the
androids. And me of course." Lucifer said that last part with his voice cracking.
"What are you Lucifer?" responded Greg, taking a seat.
"A false creature. A corrupted memory taken form. As such, I have no age to
speak of, or actual physical form." He sat down as well, putting his head
down. "No matter, I'm as real as anything else in this world. Now...To the
point. I will use parts from the three Megadei Dunkle, Dante, and Horus as
well as an Archetype Model to construct a machine with the ability to bestow
the One Truth to everyone. But as you might realize I need Big Dante
immobile to construct it."
"Why are you doing this? What do you want?" said Gregory.
"Truth..and the dissemenation of it." replied Lucifer.
Gregory got up and made to leave the office. "Before you go, I am telling you
I will have Big Dante in fairly unharmed condition." said Lucifer, to which
Gregory replied:"Do as you wish, I want no part in your insane plot. I dont
believe your tomato story. How could you help spread the truth? You work for
the kingdom of lies, and will be brought down as such. I do hope we never
cross paths again, or I might just shoot you. Oh, and by the way...STAY OUT
OF MY HEAD!"
****************
Greg got home at the break of dawn, welcomed to the smell of breakfast.
"Lucy, Im home.." The android ran out of the kitchen and hugged him, then
returned to her cooking. The sound of a bass filled the house. He went to
investigate and saw Leon at it again. His faithful(if not a tad bizzare)
mechanic, he is the only one that understands Big Horus's inner workings. He
is tall and tanned almost as if he touched the sun. He was not a unfit fellow,
but definately large. His arms were scarred and adorned with tattoos of
schematics. The keeper of the guardian. He had an obession to play his large
bass every morning. It was a soothing sound, but invariably woke him up.
"Leon, fix the lasers yet?"
He finished his song and responded. "Yes. I even rewired some stuff so you'll
get some extra power to it. Oh...Seismic readings ten minutes ago showed
something coming toward Prometheus in about 2 hours." Greg thought.
"Well, I better eat breakfast and on both accounts its not anything too
nasty."
He walked toward the kitchen. "Lucy, what are you going to poison me with
this time." She turned her head 180 to look at him. "Pamcakes!" she cried
out, and turned her head back. "Do you mean pancakes?" he said. "Nope.
PAMCAKES! Thats how Infernoguy calls them" she cried again. "Whats a
Infernoguy?"
SMACK! FRYING PAN TO THE CRANIUM!
"WHATS A INFERNOGUY?! HOW DARE YOU! ITS THE BEST COMIC BOOK EVER!"
Greg was used to this kinda thing, and fell backwards into his seat. He
mumbled:"Hundreds of men in this world and I get stuck with the bipolar
android."
She pouted and served him a plate of "pamcakes" with a glass of orange
juice. His head fell into the food and quickly ate swallowed it. He wiped his
face and downed the orange juice. "Please Lucy...no more...my poor head..."
he said feebly.
She took away his plate and pulled him over her shoulder. The android
dragged him to Big Horus and stuck him in his seat. She slapped his left
cheek, kissed the right, and closed it.
"Big Horus...Action.." he mumbled.
The hangar door opened and the engines started. Greg regained his senses
and flew off, locking onto the coordinates where the object of interest earlier
stopped.

Something had come out of the earth. "Big Dante..."
"Hello you foolish tomato. Miss me?" boomed Etsuya over the com-link. "If I
never see your sorry hide again, it will be far too soon for me." snapped back
Greg. He made a large dive and rise to gain altitude and then he saw it.
Same as his vision. It was starting. "Its finally our showtime Etsuya" said our
hero.

Act 3: The Final Reconcilation
"BIG HORUS! ACTION!"
The massive machine soared over the skies of Prometheus City. Gregory was ready for his final charge, as it was meant to be.
Below Big Dante was also prepared for its final show. It aimed its head up.
"BIG DANTE! SHOW HIM WHAT YOU'VE GOT!!"
The land machine fired a laser out of its eyes, narrowly missing the flying one. Big Horus once again returned fire with similar lasers which missed him by a few hundred yards. "Your aim is as good as your blood!" yelled out Dante's pilot over the communications channel. "Look again you arrogant toad." snapped back the other. Buildings began to domino down toward Big Dante. The Big simply raised its arm and with a mighty strike of its piston, reduced them all to rubble. Horus landed infront of Dante and opened fire from its chest, its propellers retracting and being replaced with fists. Horus finished his assault, smoke completly covering his opponent. A anchor came flying at the Big, which Gregory was ready for this time. He caught it, but the other Big sent a electric shock through it, causing it to let go. The anchor fell down and retracted. Big Dante had been knocked down. It turned its arms backwards, and with the use of its pistons got itself back up. Moving on the offensive, Big Horus began punching Big Dante. Its assaults were made more effective, for with each swing of its arms the thrusters came on, doubling the force.
Big Horus seemed to be better as it also fired a missle with each strike, but that was again was not so. With a simple jab, Gregory and his Megadeus were thrown up, and in failing to fire up the engines hard enough he fell down. "BIG DANTE! FINISH HIM!"
The standing Big raised its right arm which expanded into a machine gun type device. Its hand began to spin. Etsuya laughed. Then, as Gregory expected, a mechanical moan was heard. The firing sequence was stopped. "Wh-wha?! Big Dante?! Whats wrong!" proclaimed the frightened Etsuya. The controls ceased to function. Everything seemed to be going haywire. "NO! I AM IN CONTROL HERE, BIG DANTE!" The screen lit up and words ran across it.
"CAST IN THE NAME OF GOD" appeared, as it always did. The words began to contort until a radar was shown with a big timer in the middle. Something enormous was coming, and he would see what in 6 minutes, six seconds. Gregory fired up the engines of his Megadeus and flew up. Big Horus extended its legs, revieling the missles hidden in them. The Big began gaining speed and prepared for its bombing. Then, Lucifer appeared infront of him, as he did last time. "You won't destroy it. You know you couldn't kill another person. Your weak." Gregory ignored him and waited for the computer to finish its aiming sequence. To keep his opponent down he started dropping normal bombs. He began going up higher and higher, as the calculations specified. "TARGET LOCK. MAXIMUM ACCURACY AND DAMAGE CALCULATED. INItia-~~~~~~" scrolled across the screen. The screens shut off. The switches flicked off. Big Horus had shut down in the sky. Greg instantly was overcome with fear. His Big was freefalling, with 2 nuclear weapons exposed. Adrenaline surged through him. Was this his fate? To fall and destroy the city he had sworn to protect? He tried to reactivate it but nothing seemed to work. He yelled out his war cry "BIG HORUS! SHOWTIME!"
Nothing happened. All was lost. The blood was rushing to his head. Then...the main screen turned on. Lucy was there, smiling.
To be continued...
