who's up for a Big O RPG!!!!!!!

Shaoblane 08-04-2003 05:29 PM
Well, considering I'm no good at anyone else and (as of the 13th) will be able to check back every single day, I'll be Dorothy. Plus, I'll double Angel unless someone else wants to play her. Big O roleplays aren't very common, but I'm always the leading lady no matter what roleplay it is. (Except Yu-Gi-Oh. Damn horny Yami's always tryin' ta get inta my pants, so I'm Tristen and try to get into Serenity's pants. Heeheeehee )

Okay. Who wants to be Roger/Norman/Beck/Whothehellever!!!!!! We can start when everyone who's in says ACTION! (Heehee. I know it sucked, but hey.)
The Big Omega 08-05-2003 12:25 PM
I dunno sounds kinda silly but I'm really bored so why the hell not. Besides I've played D&D before so I don't feel like a total ass doing this. Sure, I'm in, can I be Roger?
Blue Crow 08-05-2003 12:30 PM
Wasn't there another thread like this?We already said what roles we wanted to play. Smile
Lady Tesser 08-05-2003 01:02 PM
What kind of system would be used? And how would it be played?
The Big Omega 08-05-2003 02:02 PM
I dunno, if you're really serious about this then you ought to make your own web site, at first I thought you just were doing this along the lines of role playing, apparently you wan tot make it much deeper than that. My suggestion is to use a Pen and Paper RPG already in existence as a base and build off of that (Dungeons and Dragons maybe). It would wind up being pretty technical and anything that had a range or chances would need dice to determine what would happen, I would suggest up to a combination of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 20 sideds, anything else if only nesescary. Fortunently these would be findable at any place that deals with D&D wares if you are willing to do some searching. This would also add up to needing people to roleplay other roles (shop keepers, and other random people) if you don't out right have a person controling it all, like D&D's DM. This is why just RPing would probably work out better, however if you are willing to work hard and develop this idea entirely I'm willing to help you. Just put your response on the forum. By the way if you are planning on doing this I have a friend who me some other played D&D with for a little while, we mostly wound up stealing stuff and killing a bunch of innocent people. Sadly I moved just recently, but I think I could contact him if needed. So just put up your response.

Lady Tesser 08-05-2003 09:14 PM
A lone woman, clad in the silver and white habit of a nun, is kneeling before a church that had been destroyed during one of the many Megadeus battles. She is praying quietly as people walk around her.

She had been sent by the Mother Superior to find a relic that may have been hidden inside the church. She was not sure what it looked like, but that it gave off a power that no one in this age had ever known.

She slowly stands and picks her way into the rubble ...
The Big Omega 08-06-2003 12:08 AM
(Don't foroget I'm the one who called Roger)
Roger Smith surveys the destruction from his last battle using Big O. Roger smiles to himself. The universe must have some sense of irony, being given a job to find something in this torn apart old church which he helped destroy in the first palce. He curses quietly under his breath at the bitter cold. Roger kicks some rocks and bits of debris out of his way as he trudges through the rubble, he wasn't even told what this thing he was looking for looked like. How would he know when he found it? Roger laughes sarcasticly in his head, it would probably be the only thing intact. He scans the ruins for anything that could be what he was seaching for, there is nothing. Nothing that is except for a bloody human hand that is reaching skyward. Roger walks slowly towards the hand, he feels a small chill travel up his spine. The blood is fresh, far too fresh...whoever who it belonged to...didn't die very long ago...
(I hope you guys think this is as good as I thik it is)
Lady Tesser 08-06-2003 11:18 AM
Hearing another soul within the wreckage, the nun stops and stands perfectly still, listening. Yes, over there, near where the altar used to be - a tall man in a black suit, sunglasses, and black gloves. Looked like a government agent of some sort.

Softly, to alert him to her presence, she begins to sing one of the hymns as she makes her way over to his location ...
The Big Omega 08-06-2003 12:58 PM
Roger stands staring at the hand in the wreckage. Roger silently says a prayer for the hand's former owner. Not that Roger is really all that sensitive; it's just the proper thing to do. Roger hears a voice speaking softly behind him; it obviously belongs to a woman. She seems to be singing about God and Jesus, stuff along those lines. Roger turns around slowly and sees a nun walking towards him. Roger reprimands himself mentally for having missed her in his earlier search. Without even properly greeting her Roger begins to speak, "I am Roger Smith, Paradigm City's top negotiator. I have been employed to find some relic that once was housed within this church. Who are you and what is your reason for being here?"

Meanwhile...in downtown Paradigm City

It's still early in the morning; the windows of buildings are usually coldly and insensitively black except for those few early birds that would be awake. However, today is different, several lights are already on and people are expecting something. And here comes that something right down the street. A white refrigerator truck, printed on its side is "Mellow Farms Milk". Driving the truck is 68 year-old Robert Atkinson. Robert drives up to one of the houses; he parks his truck and gets out, carrying a wire milk bottle basket. He walks up to the house and knocks on the door, a woman opens up takes the milk from Robert, but not before engaging in a pleasant conversation first. Robert returns to his truck and prepares to drive to the next house awaiting a milk delivery. "Tell me, Robert, are ready to awaken?" Robert’s head snaps over, staring at a man in a black trench coat sitting in the passenger's seat. The only part of the man that can be seen from out of the trench coat is his hair, which is black, tousled, and somewhat spiky. Robert gags, "Wh-wh-who are you?" "Do you want to awake Robert?" the man asks. Robert continues to gag and choke in fear. "I already have one of the necessary parts," the man continues coolly, "You are the first of those who must be awakened." Robert tries to grab the door handle and run out of the milk truck screaming but he finds that he is completely unable to control his own body. The man lets out a harsh, cruel laugh. "Just by conquering the fear and finding it and removing the seals, the locks, I have attained a higher knowledge. Now, Mr. Atkinson, if you would be so kind as to drive us all will become clear very soon." By their own will Robert's hands grip the wheel and his foot places itself on the gas pedal, his neck turns forward slowly. The next-door neighbor is wondering why the milk truck skipped by his house.

(very sinister, heh this is gonna be great)

Schwarzwald is sitting in a dark tunnel gazing into a deck of cards. A candle is dripping wax onto the hardwood table and a steady hum can be heard nearby. Schwarzwald looks up and stares down the dark tunnel.
"Soon..."
He drifts back to his card game...
The Big Omega 08-06-2003 03:05 PM
How about you be Beck re-animate?

In a very old, run-down building an extremely old man is working on something on a raised table. The man is grumbling to himself, it is obvious that he is descending into insanity. ".......must hurry.....if I don't finish.........leagcy......important.........must hurry........if not...........Paradigm must not get it.............." The man continues to ramble on unitelligently. His work is covered in a white cloth, which seems to have a human-like shape under it. Suddenly the cloth raises a few inches with a soft whirring sound. The old man seems to be enamored by this action. "Good....good.....legacy continue.......research......memories....must perserve...Paradigm must not get.... The old man begins to cough badly.

Deep under Paradigm city foot steps echo through the black tunnels. "The first of three peices have been found...You are awakening?" "My head...it hurts...memories, they're flooding my mind!" "Don't worry professor, your awakening should be finished soon. It's still intact, and I already have one of the pieces needed. There are few more of your collegues that we need...your awakening is not the only one." Insane laughter fills the tunnels.
Lady Tesser 08-06-2003 03:28 PM
"Good afternoon, Mr. Smith," she replies, bowing her head. "I am Sister Bridget of the Glass Cathedral. I am here to pray for the people slaughtered by the accident and to retrieve an item belonging to the Church ... If looters had not been pilfering through here already. Are you negotiating for the dead or some other business?"
The Big Omega 08-06-2003 03:28 PM
Look, since we're trying to do an RPG here so please keep the posts either about joining or something that's going on in our story here. Cluttering with unnescesacray posts just makes the story harder to flow with. Ok? Thank you. re-animate why don't you sign up to be Beck, we'll probably be in need of a bit of comic relief. If you don't understand we're essentialy all co-writing a Big O story here back and forth, and the character who you choose to be is the one who you write about, I'm writing about other people so that we'll get ourselves a good story going. I've got a feeling that this is going to be very interesting. Remeber the comment on posting. Thanks.

Anyway back to the story.

"Good day sister Bridget." says Roger, "It seems that you and I have a similar agenda, as I said I have been hired to search for some relic that was enshrined in this cathedral, however, it seems as though there is nothing of notice here, other than that hand. But it seems strange that there is fresh blood there, the incident with the Megadeuses occured several days ago." Roger bends down and grabs the hand, it has apparently been severed from its owner. The hand appears to have been cut off about an inch below the wrist. He picks the hand up, maybe there would be something that could identify who it had come from...snick. Roger sees a very thin, almost unnoticable wire fall to the ground. "RUN!!!!!" shouts the negotiator at the top of his lungs. Sister Bridget doesn't seem to understand what he is talking about. Not having time to explain the negotiator scoops the nun up in his arms and runs as fast as his legs can carry him. Roger dives behind his car, the Griffon, just in time to shield himself from a massive explosion. Roger and a very shell-shocked sister Bridget peer out from behind the Griffon, the Cathedral ruins are vaporized, along with anything that was in them. Roger curses under his breath.

With a long, drawn out sigh, Angel lights up yet another cigarette, and
sticks it to her lips, taking a puff and blowing the smoke out in frustration. Though her thoughts tended to decide to fly back to Roger, she continued to drive the heel of her shoe deeper into the dirt,
as she sat on the lonely bench.
Lady Tesser 08-06-2003 04:08 PM
"Well, Mr. Smith, I thank you," Sister Bridget says as she pulls herself up and straightens her robes. She gazes at the smoke-filled crater. "It seems the Faith Wars have gotten nastier than usual. For what reason are you seeking out the Relic of Maguffan?"

With a final stroke, she slips a loose piece of red hair back under her habit and peers closer into the smoke.

"Nobody knows what it looks like, of course. All anyone knows is that it is buried under the church. The bishop was against the idea of digging under sacred ground, but I guess it doesn't matter now."
Schwarzwald 08-06-2003 04:16 PM
Hey anyone remeber that santa dressed dude?....frmo heavens day?....yea sench schwarzwald taken...

(on the other side oh the church is a yet another strange man...prancing uncordinated into the smoke.) Why cant I? why cant i leave?.......But why.....i hate you....get out!!!!.....come OUT! i did what you said!!!! ......STOP TAUNTING ME!!!! (runs away back into teh darkness from where he came)
R_Dorothied 08-06-2003 04:27 PM
Extinguishing the cigarette, Angel flips her hair behind her shoulders,
and stands up, brushing herself off, and heading in the general direction of the last sense of Roger.

Though the damage from the scene was recrudable, she mangaged
to avoid stepping in, or on anything to dangerous.

Approaching ahead of her, was an unfamiliar looking woman that held Angel's curious and nosey attention.
