Favorite Middle-earth Race!

Dude! As the reisdent Ringer, I really need to know... What is everyone's top favorite race of characters in Lord of the Rings? If I don't find out, I'll go crazy-go-nuts!

I vote for... Hobbits. Best ever. All the others are just "Meh" compared to the eternal awesomeness of hobbits! And the eternal cuteness. What other race can boast the nessecity of six meals a day, or the immense proliferation of smoking on pipes and the doing of nothing all day long? No other, that's who! Not only do they all live in cute, little houses and obsess over mushrooms, but they are completely incapable of ever doing anything even remotely bad! I don't think anyone else can say the same.

And did I mention that hobbits are mind-numbingly cute? So to demonstrate what I mean, take a look at this wonderful (and not my own) Japanese fan art of Sam as a little boy, and a little bunny rabbit.

If you do not think that is cute, chances are that you prolly eat live babies for breakfast, shoot passing-by school-children with a crossbow, and buy kittens just to run them over with your Hummer.

I felt I was rooting for the men.

They seemed the most realistic and balanced.

Yeah I was always pulling for the Men...probably because that's what I am.
Elves seemed so high and mighty, they pissed me off.
Hobbitses are cool, though. Happy little hash smoking people.
So are drawves, Gimli was one of my favorite characters.

But I still like Men...all of the other races seemed like they were kinda...I dunno, one-sided.

I've always preferred Elves myself.

Not sure why - but I've always preferred them to any of the other races.

Mind you I don't think I'd like a drow (unless it was Drizzet)

Uruk Hai. Screw all you little pansy Middle Earth races! We'll eat you! (Yes, I would be an Uruk Hai were I in Middle Earth)

Hobbits. Because I too have hairy feet.......

I seem to like elves for some reason... I guess out of all the races in The Lord of the Rings, I seem to like the elves the best... huh.

They just have this mysterious cool factor. And Legolas is a bad***.

I was afraid of this, that most of the votes would go towards the Elves. Whine.

Personally, I don't like the Elves too much because they're so aloof. While all this crazy crap is happening to the mortals, they're packing their bags and skee-daddling it to Valinor, saying, "So long, suckers!" and where they could live in perfect happiness for the rest of eternity, while for all they know, Middle-earth could have sunk into the ocean, just like Numenor. And I could not imagine all the cute, little hobbits swimming around in the water because of that! How could those Elves even bear such a terrible thought?

Besides, that just reflects how even the Vala brushed off Middle-earth like it was a piece of lint. Argh! "Hey, everyone! Life here in La-la Land is fantastic, while those poor saps across the pond have to deal with some big, scary Dark Lord guy that we prolly should have done something about in the first place! Ah, well. Whatchagonnado."

WHatever race Sauron was!
You create one little piece of bling and the whole damn world goes crazy, he also had the most badass armor.

But out of a race in whole, I had to say the Ringwraiths, their so frikkin' awesome!
I don't care what you say, they classify as a race to me!

Sauron was a Maia, the things that are sort of like demi-gods. And Ringwraiths were Men before their Rings of Power turned them into ghosts. Wah-pah!
