Only Optimus Prime is graphically well done, but the story, the enemies, the characters, the spirit, the idea, the wonder, etc ...., etc ..... of the original cartoon are NOT transposed to this future movie; this will suck, unfortunately. I prefer to see the cartoon.





In the cartoon the robots seem to be like humans, with feelings, etc ... The movie does not seem to show that; Maybe the good robots, the autobots, can show some "humanity", but the bad ones, the decepticons, are just unbrained savages who destroy everything.

I just read that Hugo Weaving is providing the voice of Megatron.

Just Optimus Prime is well done. The storyline sucks according to me, and because I have still not seen this future film. I have just watched the trailer.

They look like the Zords from the Power Rangers movie.

Not necessarily bad because that movie kicked ass.

I've always really wondered how the storyline of a cartoon where a tape deck turns into a robot which apparently then fires cassettes that (I think) turn into OTHER robots could be all that great

It looks good. My comp currently doesn't have sound so I couldn't hear the music or explosions from the tralier...(Damn) But it looks too cool to pass up.
