At the risk of sounding irritated, let me remind you that in Beast Wars the Transformers scanned things when they made landfall to adopt forms.
And Decepticons were the military bots of Cybertron.
So put two and two together.

That is AWESOME. He may not be Gi, but hell if I care this one just oozes evil and presence. Of course theres the possibility that this is still really npthing more then concept art.

Brian Goldner Responds To Movie Megatron Leak
After intensely negative fan reaction to the leak of the Transformers Movie Megatron, Hasbro COO Brian Goldner has responded on the Don Murphy Forums.
"Good Afternoon--Let me answer your questions. Starscream is simply the coolest, most aggressive military jet in the skies. The military has given us unprecedented access to deliver this character to the audience in the most compelling way. He is Very much like G1. As noted to Nelson earlier in the week, the details, deco, weapons, and sculpt itself will change as we move from grey model to final form.
Megatron is an early style board. Without revealing too much of the story, there is a very important reason for his look to have evolved from pure G1; although the final look is a work-in-progress--ILM has just recently begun all their CGI development. Megatron has a iconic personality, and approach that dates back to G1. Throughout time he has had a very big gun.... "

Ugh...these Starscream and Megatron concepts are terrible! I'm hoping they're just rejected concepts or a joke Bay's playing on the fans for all the criticism he's gotten.

Megatron has lifts in his shoes.
He's short. That's why he's evil.

Why are they short? Shouldn't they be a little bit taller or something?

Even though they are trying to get the old voice actors for the characters, I hope they find a role for David Kaye in there. Personally, he's my favorite Megatron.

I don't know the VAs of transformers, but I liked the VAing and the drawing style for the Megatron from Armada.

Or just click on this thumbnail.
Well, at least he still
somewhat resembles Prime.
I mean, I could look at that, and have a good idea that it's supposed to be Prime.

Very Clear Images of Transformers Movie Optimus Prime
Ain't It Cool News has posted some very clear shots of the Transformers Movie Optimus Prime. These new pictures also reveal an interesting new aspect to Optimus Prime's head. The images appear to be concept art, similar in fashin to the Blackout and Megatron designs we saw earlier. The figure appears to be slightly different to the poster images we saw just a few days ago. So keep in mind these designs may not be the final versions. If you are trying to avoid spoilers, then do not continue.
The original post from AICN can be seen Here.
We have mirrored the images Here. |
Hmm, face looks um...... odd/depressed?
