The teaser trailer for Neil Gaimain's Mirrormask is now on the Sony site. It's also one of the trailers on The Storyteller: Greek Myths DVD because it was produced by the Jim Henson Company.

Neil said on his site he was kind of frustrated with it, because, while the teaser is all visuals and no plot, it only credits him (the plot) and not McKean (the visuals).

Ooh, shiny! The visuals look absolutely stunning, and the plot sounds pretty nifty too. I'll have to add this to my little list of "movies I'm for sure seeing, no excuses!"

OH! Pretty...

Adds to list of "Movies that I must see when it comes out."

I'm too lazy to look up when it comes out, will it be 2005? Then I can add it to my reasons why 2005 will be the best year for movies EVAR! (Hm...IMDB.com says 2004...that's it...)

Dave McKean is the director, awesome!

Will definitely pass this on to my mom!

Yeah, I think the current plan is January 2005.

I'm not sure how wide the release will be, though. I think Sony originally wanted it to be a direct-to-DVD release, but the preliminary screening was such a hit they're considering giving it more respect.

I'm not sure what's up with imdb...they also list the Coraline movie as being 2004, even though they've only just selected Henry Selick (Nightmare Before Christmas) to direct it.
