Now that is some nice stuff there.

Occasionally at a local store gets some good figs. At one time they had a 10 inch Yomiko Statuette. It looked awesome, but because of it being an import, and the high-quality material used in making it, it was pretty close to the 80-100 dollar range.

I was quite sad. -.-;

Okay, 2 of the last 3 episodes have been aired, and tonight I can assume that the grand finale will air. It's looking like the last 30 minutes of the series will be one hell of a ride! Hopefully then they will air the episodes uninterrupted in order from 1 to 26.

BTW... seems like Yomiko's gotten more gutsy, The Paper Sisters are more awesome than ever, and Mr. Joker... All I can say is "Obsess Much?"

Whooot.... Episode 26 was the ending taht I was suprised would happen... an ACTUAL HAPPY ENDING!!! The way things were going there for a bit... I thought it would be otherwise.

For all those cursed with watching ROD the TV on G4, they showed Episode 13 after Episode 26, so they're giving us another dose of the second half of the series. I can assume, but I'm not selling my soul on that possibility.

It's been one heck of a ride, I must say, now if only someone would get the licence for the Manga, then we'd be good to go.

Thoughts from the rest of the Paper Sisters' extended family out there?

I'd like to to yell out a congrats to all those who got to see the finale, and I'd also like to yell out a curse to my sattelite provider for not putting G4 on our program choices. My fional 'boo' goes to Geneon for making the paper masters around here wait so long for the final release.

If I had a choice, I'd want Del Rey to translate and publish the printed read or die stateside. Del Rey manga have the best layout, with sound effects translated with little interference to artwork, honorifics left intact, translator notes in back, and a preview of the next volume in every book. Also, people translating the book and the manga could talk with one another, keeping things consistent.

Agreed. After reading the first volume of scanlations of the Manga, and the forst two chapters of the second, all I have to say is "Ever hear of editors, spell checkers, and KNOWING your material first?"

I swear, if I was Nenene, I'd be chewing them out drill-sargeant style. Perhaps will a full-out flipping of the bird.

But enough about that. I sincerely hope that the Mangas do get translated and released stateside, and I sure as hell would like to see someone translate the novels as well.

Yes, there are novels too.

Something tells me my love for this series will only push me to greater extremes to find material. Perhaps even make me to a *GASP!* FANFIC!

And I do have to resound the mad-styles props for all of the otaku-no-paper for sticking with the farce that was the G4 ROD the TV showings. Here's to hoping it gets picked up through Adult Swim or Cartoon Network. Although my paper senses tell me [AS] would be the better choice.

Well there have been rumors (Not really sure if it's true or not, no word from viz officaly or from what I've found, anyways.) of Viz picking up the FMA manga novels. so there could be a chance that whoever picks up the R.O.D manga will most likely put out the R.O.D novels as well?

Just got the final volume of the anime. Great ending. Loved the whole London with creatures from books thing, heh! As for Nancy back in her battle suit even if it was only for a few minutes.

BTW, in episode 24 did anyone catch the cameo by a certain Texas VA?

I'm thinking of getting all the material I need to pull a male version of Yomiko Readman for the next Anime Detour.

I watched the OVA and the T.V. series and I have to say that at this point im extremely addicted to this anime. In fact i find myself screaming "THE PAPER" running around like im retarded. I have to say the Art changes significantly from the OVA into the ROD the T.V. It seems as though the art becomes more complex and detailed in the T.V. series but thats just me. At this point all thats left for me is to make a paper Yomiko Shrine and worship it until the day I die. Im serious this anime is THAT good.

So... all that is left to be seen by American eyes is the Manga and the Novels.

Although, I'd like to see Read or Die the TV get aired somewhere where it'll get the airing it deserves. G4 really borked it good. If Adult Swim felt like raiding teh G4 archives for anime, ROD and several others I think would be PERFECT. (Uncut Last Exile anyone?)

Well, in any case, time to figure out ways to keep the fans of this series rollin. The DVDs are now out, and figs are starting to pop up. It's in the spotlight now.

Okay, someone posted a poll at G4tv regarding which anime people would like seeing again. So... for all us bibliophiles here, let's get ROD the TV the respect it deserves...

Why haven't I found this before?
I really enjoyed Read or Die the TV. The first time Barrin showed the first episode to me I freaked out! I loved it soo much cause it was really cool. The OVA is pretty cool too.

G4 currently is showing Last Exile. I can only hope ROD the TV gets on the rotation next.

Someone above talked about how the art changed for the OVA to the TV? I noticed that the voices for Yomiko and Nacy changed but Joker, Wendy, and Drake are the same. I prefer the Yomiko and Nacy from the OVA.

Question! Whats with the American presidant? In both the TV and OVA.
