Great Bands you've never heard of

The Bled - Kickass hardcore band from Arizona. Their new CD is decent, but their debut Pass the Flask is easily my favorite CD. Very talented and always put on a kickass show.

The Number 12 Looks Like You - Crazy mathcore dudes with two singers and some insane technical skill. Very abstract lyrics and complex riffs.

Zao - Well I'm sure a lot of you guys have heard of 'em, but I know a lot haven't. Legendary hardcore band, and for good reason.

The Fall of Troy - Amazing experimental hardcore trio from Seattle. Guitarist has some of the most amazing skill I've ever seen... let alone from a guy who sings at the same time. Riffs are always fresh, bass lines never just follow the guitar like an autistic kid on a leash, and the drums never stop kickin. I was supposed to see them the other day but their bus broke down.

Dillinger Escape Plan - Yeah they've been mentioned before but they kick too much ass not to be mentioned again. Amazingly talented mathcore quintet with one of the most kickass drummers I've even heard. Extra points cuz they diss on Avenged Sevenfold a lot.

Primus - Well in a perfect world everybody would know Primus and listen to them a lot, but most people I've talked to don't... which blows. Basically, very cool experimental... crazy ass trio featuring one of the greatest bassists of all time, Les Claypool. Always technical and hilarious.

All Out War: one of the legends of the new york hardcore scene, although I detest NYHC, All out war is pretty good.
Bionic Jive: I'll be honest I have a strong dislike of rap-metal but Bionic jive is actually good.
(Hed) pe: Another good rap-metal band.
Stuck Mojo: Another good rap-metal band. They where once on relapse, which is weird since they tend to release death metal and other extreme metal genre's.

Sorry for the double post, but I've gotten addicted to Mats & Morgan as of recent. They're an odd jazz/prog band from Sweeden. They're also f***ing amazing.

Tiamat: A awesome band that started as black metal but changed to a more Gothic Metal (yes folks there IS a difference).
Rotting Christ: A black metal band from Greece. They kick so much ass it's not even funny. They also use Doom, Gothic, and Grindcore(early stuff) in their sound.
Septic Flesh: Another good black metal band from Greece. To bad tehy broke up.

1349: An awesome Black Metal band from, where else, Norway. Master drummer Frost is also part of this band.
Mystifier: Awesome Black Metal band from Brazil.

Wrust: Death Metal from Africa? Awesome.

The Black Lips are a really kick ass atlanta band. I saw them last monday and they put on a damn good live show.

Fear Before the March of Flames has quickly become one of my favorite bands. Their older stuff is harder, almost trashy, but their new stuff is experimental and very cool. Try to listen to their songs "Ten Seconds in Los Angeles" and "My F***king Deer Hunter".

The deathstars (no one I know in england knows of them)
