So, yeah, I hear it sucks big ones.

Not really.

I played it all night and day Saturday/Sunday (no memory card -_-Wink and even though I'm not fond of shooting games, I really enjoyed it. The story was very well done, and I have to admit, re-visiting various FF VII locations once more was something I enjoyed tremendously.

Wait, uh. What. It's out? Or...

I think if Tetsuya Nomura had his way.. character costumes would consist solely of belts, zippers, and chains.

Man, how do you get to be a beta tester, do you get paid?

Dirge of Cerberus English Promotional Cover
A Dirge of Cerberus English Promotional Cover has been spoted at local gamespot stores now, although there is no given release date in these promotional ads the manager of the store said it was to be coming at August 1st for $49.99 though they say this is a solid release date, it is still highly questionable till an official announcement.

Thanks to forum member Shinra Employee #080729 for the information and picture.

It'd be cool if it was out that soon, while I've beaten the game in Japanese, and read translations for cutscenes, etc. It would be nice to play the game and understand at the same time. Tongue

Not much to say about it. It features something known as the "ProtoMateria".

English DC site open. Still not totally up though. Personally, I find that any english game site lacks severely in comparison to it's Japanese counterpart.

Just to clarify what Lost Episode is about...

spoiler (highlight to read):
In Chapter 4 of Dirge of Cerberus, the WRO HQ is raided and basically destroyed. In Chapter 5, Vincent infiltrates Shinra Mansion to recover records about his past and the Ancient Materia.

Lost Episode is set between the two, and explains how Vincent got from the WRO HQ to the sewers beneath Nibelheim, where Chapter 5 begins. According to the Japanese press release on the E3 site, after taking off from the HQ, his helicopter is shot down.

I find it odd that it will only be for that for the time being. I would have thought having it avaible on other cell companies would get them more business.
