Resident Evil Apocalypse Jills Role

JAYCZero 09-12-2004 05:08 PM
Ok I'm so excited to watch the brand new film of
Resident Evil , I'm also excited that the Original Characters
of the Game Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine are going to be
on the film and also I like the return of her Uniform from the
first sequal of the game and most of all the Clothes that she
wore on the Nememsis game. But one thing that bugs me ,
and that is that this Sienna Guillory looks nothing like Jill Valentine
as the leading role for her.

maybe I must be bugging out but ,she looks a little bit because
of the Hair and the Blue eyes. but the Directors could have
done a better job on getting a female that looks alot like
her. But Although I'm excited that the film is already
coming up.So just tell me what you think about this

Hmmm, I dunno' JayC...they actually look pretty close. I do think it would have been nice if they had found someone who looked a little younger with slightly more petit features.

And by the way...I saw the first film and thought they did a pretty good job and I've seen the trailers for this one and I think it's looking OK...but there's just one minor problem I've noticed.

WHERE THE HELL IS WESKER!!!!!!???

I haven't seen him listed on any cast list or spotted him in any clips. I'm not exactly sure how far they plan on going with these movies but if Wesker doesn't show up soon...I'll have to destroy Hollywood...it's just that simple. O_o

LOL!!XD you Crazy MS Feather , yeah Wiskers should show up.
maybe the Directors don't want to spoil it for us ,but who knows
he might be there. and I hope Barret is in that film too.

but Anyway's she does look a little like Jill but I was expecting more
but all I'm saying is they could have gotten a much better person,
Dam why not get Kate Beckinsale for crying out loud ! she looks
a like her , just picture her with short hair. And maybe she does
Oh Well

Yeah really!! Wesker kicked ass and he was VERY important top the overall plot of Resident Evil (Up until 4 that is.... Unless....... <.< >.>).

And to all you who believe that Wesker IS Nemesis (Canon-wise, not horrible 1st Resident Evil Movie-wise), there's no way he could have been. 'Tis a good theory though... at least it was up until Code Veronica came out and beat it to death with a bag of hammers...

As the movie progressed I kept hoping he would come in (But then again, I can't see why he would, He wasn't in RE3 anyway...). Also the movie had a lot of nods to the game. Such as the whole "Arklay Mountains" that was up on the weatherboard thing at the beginning of the movie. And also when Jill said to Angela (Unrelated note: Does anyone think that they were supposed to be related to Alfred and Alexia Ashford? I was kind of hoping Alfred would make an appearance XD) "It's ok, they're slow. We can just run around them." I started laughing. Anyone who's played the game knows the old classic strategy of running past the zombies and conserving your ammo for a sticky situation.

As for Jill... I'd say she had the body, but she didnt look like Jill in the face... Plus, her hair was a bit too dark.

Also, I would like to say that I am greatly disappointed with what they did with Nemesis Mad . He wasnt HALF the badass he was in the game and he NEVER used his hand tentacle. I was hoping to see that so much. I can live with the fact that he only said "S.T.A.R.S." once and only busted through one wall, but
spoiler (highlight to read):
When they made him fight Alice to the death near the end and he didn't wipe the floor with her and use his hand tentacle, I wanted to get up and leave. At that point I lost all respect for LA Nemesis.

But at least they made Lickers more than final boss material in this movie Roll Eyes .

Personally I thought it was a great non-canon take on what happened in RE3, up until the part I mentioned in the spoiler. And thus Resident Evil Apocalypse gets a 7/10.

Well, she definitely looks a little more innocent, I'll give you that...

Oh come on! Wesker is eternal!
Nah, I think he’ll keep supposedly dying and vanishing throughout the series until the last game is released… In which he will play THE final RE boss… That’s what I hope anyway. ^__^

And like I said, I don’t know how far they plan on going with the movies but it’s going to be hard introducing him this late and still give off the impression that he's an important part of the story. As far as I’ve seen there hasn’t even been a hint to his existence. They could have at least shown his name on some documents or shown a guy who remotely looked like him in one of Alice’s flashbacks…just…SOMETHING! >_<

ROFLMAO!
Alfred Ashford has got to be my second favorite RE character, if not for the simple fact he had the funniest scene in the entire series. What made it even funnier was the fact that Claire had just mowed down armies of flesh eating hell spawn and barely flinched. But when that wig came off…even she was like ‘WOAH, WTF!!!?’ The perfect example of what a true moment in horror should be like. XD
And I wouldn’t be too surprised if they were related. I mean the Ashford’s were the founders of Umbrella right?

Yeah, along with Ozwell Spencer (Owner of the mansion from the original mansion incident). Edward and Ozwell originally created the "mother virus" (I heard a rumor that Leon gets infected with it in RE4) and soon after started Umbrella)

I think they're gonna completely turn the plot around for the movies though, assuming they continue.

Shhh...patience, my friend...wait and see...

As for the character looking like Jill Valentine, Id say the actress looks pretty much like her.

On a side note: I guess I should actually dust off Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (and finish it) and Resident Evil: Code Veronica (and actually play it), since I own them, and havent played them. Might help out with any video game-movie connections.

I get the impression the jill character is really the...only good part (not to mention the best looking) of the overall film. 2 or so people I know have seen it, and they've said identical things about it.

I waited to rent the first one, and I'm sure I'll be doing the same with this one.

And one thing that definately completed Jill's Character and Personality
was her Voice Of the Resident Evil Series by Catherine Disher.

Speaking of the Voice Over,
I don't mean to sound out of the Subject but what REALLY
seems to boggle my Mind , is that Voice Talents , Jennifer Hale
(The Voice of Electra from Cowboy Bebop Movie) and
Catherine Disher the Voice of Jill Valentine sound...Completely
..IDENTICLE!! It's the same Voice, this is really Strange Shocked !
I even checked the voice talents of Jennifer Hale and it had
nothing to do with the Voice of Jill Valentine whatsoever.
Has anybody got something to comment about this ?
