Hello, dudes and dudettes, or I should say, artists. It's that time of season again for the next Big O art contest. I am sure you would be happy to know the featuring Big O character for this event is none other than Roger Smith; Negotiator; Dominus of the Black Megadeus,..., etc. So, the rules will be the same as the Dorothy off:
1. There will be three categories. There must be at least one art piece for each category. Failure to do so would lead to automatic disqualification.
2. In the event of multiple entries for the same category, the best one will be picked by each judge (based on personal preference).
3. No screen shots or scanned images, full or partial, from the Big O (anime or manga) may be used. To do so so would lead to automatic disqualification.
4. Plagurism is not permitted. To do so so would lead to automatic disqualification.
5. There are no limits on these pieces. Meaning, the pieces don't have to be colored or even sketches. They can be painting, sculptures, photo manipulations, animations, videos or any other kind of media you prefer.
6. The art contest will begin on September 15 and will end on November 1, 2004 (midnight, Pacific Time).
7. Prize winnings will go to the top 3 artist, selected but the summation of points given by the judges per each category:
1st Prize - $50 gift certificate to Amazon.com
2nd Prize - $25 gift certificate to Amazon.com
3rd Prize - $10 gift certificate to Amazon.com
8. Though you can post your entries anywhere of your choosing, you must submit the final piece to me via PM or email (prefered) not later than Midnight PST, Nov. 1, 2004.
The three categories will be posted on September 15. If you feel that you want to participate, please post in this thread before October 10. Thank you and good luck.
