The Story of Schwarzwald [With Pictures!]

Zopwx2 08-11-2004 12:25 AM
Seriously though... Schwarzwald is the coolest character in the entire show.

Sit back and hear the story of Schwarzwald.

Spoilers included:

Micheal Seebach was a reporter for Paraidgm press, it was his job to expose the truth and present it to the people, not an easy task in a place like Paradigm City.

Mysteries surrounded him, but he was getting no where, he had to know what was going on. He was tired of the BS Paradigm Corp was feeding him, and he was even more frustrated with the fact that the people of paradigm seemed to be completely oblivious to their own history, origin, reality.

He made it his job to combat the forces of ignorance and lies, to investigate, to discover, to know the truth! he was going to find it no matter what, and he would bring this truth to the people, wether they wanted it or not.

That was the moment that micheal seebach ceased to exist, and a new entitiy, the seeker of the truth and the crusader of knowldege was born.... his name was Schwarzwald.

Schwarzwald: German for black forest. From the tale of the little boy who ventured deep into the forest to find grandpa, the wise man who knew, against the wishes of his mother.

So one day all his searching led him to one place.. He ventured deep underground, a place that strikes terror in the heats of all, and where the most bizzare of events take place.

There he found a megadeus, a giant machine that represented the power of god, an archetype of The Big O.

He managed to unlock it from its chains.... but in doing so he was burned severly, requiring the excessive use of bandages....

When roger smith was hired to look into the dissappearance of Micheal Seebach, he found schwarzwald and his archetyepe, but the unexpected factor of R. Dorothy Wayneright, activated the abandoned fossil and managed to get itself destroyed by its own decendant.

Shaken, but not finished, Schwarzwald knew he still needed to find the truth, if he couldn't find it underground, he would find it abroad, outside paradigm.

No one knows what exactly schwazwald found, or learned, but whatever it was, it gave him some sort of distrubed clarity.

But what we do know is that somewhere near the deserts of JFK mark, schwarzwald found somthing, an abandoned megadeus... but not just any megadeus.....a BIG! Big Duo a megadeus that could fly!

The time was right, schwarzwald knew the truth, He had to destroy the corupt elite class of dome dwellers whch had paradigm corp. as its head. They were the biggest obstacle in finding the truth.

Now he finally had the power in big duo to do this, to bring the truth to the surface no matter how violent or destructive he had to be to accomplish that goal. But one obstacle in his way was the bothersome Roger Smith.

He was nothing more than a lacky for the Paradigm Corp, they played on his naive notions of justice and protecting the innocent. The truth is more important of that the lives of the corrupt dome dwellers who leech off the people.

On one fatefull day, there happend a Clash of titans in Paradigm's Central Dome.

Big Duo, piloted by Schwarzwald, the man who would destroy Paradigm Corp and reveal the truth.

and

Big O, piloted by Roger Smith, the man who cared not for the truth or paradigm, only to stop a madman who threatened to kill more innocent people.

There commenced the greatest megadeus battle in Big O history, and it was all going Schwarzwald's way, until a premature sense of victory and overconfidence made him open for a swift attack by Roger.

and in a gorious end, Big Duo was decaptiated and left for scrap metal..... it was over.....untill... it started moving....standing..... and walking on its own?~!

Schwarzwald had alreadly bailed for his life yet the zombie megadeus big duo slowly crawled out of a bombed out crater and collapsed while reaching out to somthing....

This caught Schwarzwald by surprise..... had he been mistaken to think he could control a Megadeus?

..... and this is where the schwarzwald story become unclear.... again he wanders out into the desert..... but this time he found it..... whatever it was.... but he never returned to deliver his story to the people.... his body was found in the desert near the ruins of coney island......

yet the message of schwarzwald did not die! His voice still rang through the domes and walls of paradigm....he prophcied the the final days of mankind, and his spirit continued to wander paradigm in search of the truth....

and occaisionally to teach someone a lesson.... as in the case of Alan Gabriel.

What was it the Scwhwarzwald learned? And why the hell hasn't he told us? This and much more will be revealed in season 3, via flashbacks (like in act 17), narrations, or through more unconventional means (act 24)

Schwarzwald is a very interesting character -- and that's saying something when Big O has a whole cast of interesting characters. I have missed so many eps of the series -- every time I get to see more than one or two, it has been pulled. From your description, he is almost admirable in his determination. It is quite possible to love truth in a mad sort of way. But his willingness to see people get hurt makes me recoil. He and Roger are alike, and yet very much not alike. Interesting...

Schwarzwald is awesome. He's a lot like HAL. The most interesting character by far, yet rediculously underused in the second series/book.

I wonder where Schwarzwald would take me on a vacation in Paradigm?

Schwarzwald will probably have a major part in season 3. He, Alex, Angel, and the Union are the only ones that have information on the outside. And Schwarz is the only one that is concerned with revealing the truth. And Angel might have lied, and he's still alive. I was so sad when he died....

Yes the twist ending of that episode was a slap in the face! I was just sitting with my mouth open watching the credits.

But even if he is dead, he aint going no where.

EDIT: pictures, Yay or Nay?

Adding the pictures was a nice touch, Zopwx2. You've really whetted our appetite for more Schwarzwald.

Zop, that was friggin' awesome! That was definitely the definitive guide to Schwarzwald. And the pictures illustrated it perfectly. You should have this put on Paradigm City's site as a character guide.

AH..... all this Schwarzwald.... kinda makes me want to find a megaduece underground, and then get severe burns while setting it free. lol.

Zopwx2, that was.... awsome.
Big Money 08-12-2004 04:56 PM
This is Teh Own. As was before suggested, you should have this put up as a character profile.

Your story seems to be missing something, at the end... if I recall in the pneultimate episode or so (When Alen Gabriel is piloting "Big Duo Inferno") we get a lot of Schwartzwalde voice over Especially when Big Duo Inferno flies above Paradigm City, revealing... the "roof". It was only at this point that it struck me that there are no aorports in Paradigm City... no planes... to my knowledge, no flying machines of any sort. Only Big Duo can fly. I believe then that when Schwartzwalde uncovered Big Duo he flew it above Paradigm City and discovered the outer dome. Perhaps this was the truth he was looking for.

I also believe that somehow Schwartzwalde merged with Big Duo (as Alen attempted to do, in vain) and that's why he still seems to live on, and gets all that voice-over time.

Ooh, last but not least, a cool pic to have thrown in is the one of Schwartzwalde from the start of the second series where he's sitting at a desk in a sewer, or something like that.

But it was a cool story, and very well told!

Refresh by memory: was Big Duo II completly destroyed in that fight? It's been a while since I've seen that episode.

There's JFK Mark, but it has apparently not been used as an airport in some time.

Outside of the anomalous airship in Act 1 and Eugene's little VTOL craft (Act 8 ), there don't seem to be any other aircraft at all.

you should make a pop-up book of Schwarzwald.

The problem is the Schwarzwald's life is already a bit mysterious, especially everything after act 12.

Since this is a story about his life, and I really don't know how or when he figured stuff out, (or what he figured out for that matter) so its hard to set the scene and tell the story ....of a creepy voice over? Its wierd.

So I really don't want to start making stuff up.

But the stuff I did know I wrote.

Ill throw that pic in too! The one I needed was the one of his smoke and coffee cupped typewriter.

WHAT THE HECK! All you people don't care that schwarzwald let it get out of hand!
