MOst recent weird dream: I was camping with the troop. We were sleeping in tents. I felt like i had been canoeing and hiking all day, because I was exausted and didn't have my cot with me. Anyway, I'm laying in a tent trying to sleep and I hear this yelling and swearing. I look out the window, and I see a house. We're sleeping in tents in a school parking lot, and the neighbors are yelling at us becuase we're making noise at night, appearently from snoring or whatever. I'm bothered by this multiple times, and then I wake up for real and can't fall asleep for 1/2 hour. Very strange.

I had a dream someone I don't know in real life but I did know in my dream called me, and the conversation was quite interesting, but now i don't remember what we talked about.

Last night I had a dream that the crab remains from last night's dinner assembled themselves together into a giant crab like megadus. The megadus had crab like claws and was also crab like. The piolt was a combination of someone who looked a wee bit like Schwarldz but with crab claws and enjoyed ranting on like a sailor and wore sailor attire.
Then everyone from ACT's fanfiction was there and went off to battle while Tony the Mechanic and R.Beth were left behind to make sure that the base was well secured, we also gave out the ememny's coordinates too!! SO WE WERE WORKING!!! ^_~"

I had a dream last night, that I went to the doctor's office. I had asked her about some tests, and the doc asked me if I was sure I wanted to know now. I said sure. She told me I had lung cancer. I didn't cry, but I felt devastated

I asked her how far I was down the line, and she said I was in the...okra stage? I was a bit confused. Then I woke up.
I had a weird dream the other day. It lasted about 5 seconds.
It was an image of a really beautiful girl standing in a doorway and smiling. That was it. Then I woke up confused.

I dreamed that I was in my crush's truck and that I kissed him on his cheek and on his lips. It was nice! His cheek was warm and itchy from his facial hair and his lips were soft and full. ^___^ And he smelled nice!
I know that I remember how his cheeks feel because I've touched them before, and whenever I hug him, I can always smell how nice he smells. But I have no idea how his lips feel.
I HATE when I like someone. You see what it does to me?

Well wasn't that a nice dream.
A bit of news that is real and not a dream is that I'm part of our school musical of
Hello Dolly!
I'm happy and exited about it and a tad worried but its like 3%, not much at all.
Keep any and all of those dreams coming.

Hmmm I can't really remember any interesting recent dreams, but I have a couple of fun recurring themes....
First, the typical sort of anxiety dream: I'm driving my car and no matter how hard I press on the brakes, it won't stop. Usually it just crawls along at a snail's pace, but still it never stops. Once it drove right through a wall at that slow speed. One time it started to float a couple of feet off the road and I had to fight to get it back down.
Another dream I've had a few times which always amuses me, is that I'm a guy; not only a guy but a vampire as well. Once I went after a teenage girl to use for sex and then to kill her, another time I had all sorts of excellent super vampire powers. Sometimes I wonder how normal that sort of dream is.

The ones I usually remember are my nightmares....the worst are the ones involving Dracula. Why that one book gives me nightmares when I've read stuff that should be scarier....oh, yeah...and any K.K.K. dreams I have keep me up. They scare me more than the vampire ones.

I never really thought about posting in this thread...but my dreams over the past two nights really really got me into a solemn and confused mood.
Last night (from what I
do remember of the dream)...in my dream my dad was killed and I was scared like I've never been scared before...
The night before...I had a wandering dream that moved about through a plot of me playing a game with me actually in it (one of those "you're an assassin and you gotta get out of there with your life" games), then a plot of me being in a crowd of people hearing many voices (some I recognized other I didn't), and then finally my dream self in laying on my bed...but (now this is freaky and disturbing)
| spoiler (highlight to read): |
| my neck hurts, and a small spout of clean pure water trickles out of my neck. In the dream I feel a sensation on my neck and it nearly feels real. |
..I'm almost as afraid to go to sleep tonight as I was years ago when I had a trilogy of nightmares with the same characters, plot, and effect. (honest to god that dream came in parts for three nights and I was scared about the contents of the next dream I had).

That sometimes happens to me, like deja vo, and when I do have that I can remember me frecking out over it.
By the way I like your avtar and location.
evanASF27 that is odd and I hope one night you'll be able to go to sleep and rest nice and easy, with nothing bad or werid happen to you.
Alana Gabriel poor you to have and remember those nightmares, I haven't read Dracula yet but after reading your post I wounder if I should or not.
black dragoness first off I love your name! Second you car is very intesting to crash though a wall when going at a snails pace. And third yay for the you being a vampire, boo for the 2nd part and cool for the 3rd part.
Dreams are never normal that is why they can be fun or werid or sometimes scary. If dreams were normal then I wouldn't have started this thread nor would there be a bunch of books on peoples dreams, therefor sleeping would be boring.

Oh yes, I do wonder at how normal mine are sometimes but it amuses me thoroughly.

Got a couple more weird ones from the past couple of days....
My eyebrows grew as long as the hair on my head (to the shoulders). Hehehe I had to comb them. Then, I wanted to shave but found my leg hair was several inches long and needed to be trimmed with scissors first. Hm, interesting out-of-control hair theme there.
I got the newest Harry Potter book early, and as I was reading it, it was as if I were watching a movie. Harry and Ron got the Gryffindor quidditch team into a van, and Harry drove them to Ron's house. After a while everyone noticed Harry was being strangely quiet. They looked at him and saw a mark running all the way around his neck... then realized his head had been severed! At that point, Harry's head simply fell off. Now how did he manage to keep driving even after that.... *laughs*

I almost never remember my dreams with any clarity. Bummer!
There's been some research done on dreams at the Stanford sleep lab. People have distinctive EEG (electro-encephalogram) readings when they're asleep, so the researchers can tell at a glance whethery you're really asleep or not.
How can people who are dreaming communicate with sleep researchers?
It turns out that your whole body is paralyzed when you dream -- except your eyes, which track the actions in your dreams as if they were real. (If your body weren't paralyzed, you'd be acting out your dreams.) Anyway, researchers have agreed on certain eye movements as a code! If the volunteer manages to enter a period of lucid dreaming (that is, he knows he's dreaming), he can signal to the researchers with coded eye movements.
Weird, but true. One thing they've discovered is that time passes in dreams at more or less the normal rate. The illusion of long periods of time passing in dreams is apparently partly due to cinematic techniques (cutting from one scene to another without bothering with the stuff between) and partly an illusion that the dream happened the instant before awakening, which often isn't the case at all.
Apparently, we all have several independent dreams every night, but don't remember all of them. (A lot of dream research involves waking the subject and asking him what he just dreamed, before he can forget.)

I remember my last dream, which is..unusual.
So I've fallen asleep, on my horribly uncomfortable futon while doing work for a thesis.
Skip foreward, whatever it was that happened in the dream ended with my "waking up" by falling off of the futon, and realizing it was 7:20 am and I hadn't finished my work.
I then finally did wake up.
So...basically I had some kind of dream within a dream. I forget any details of the mini-dream, except I apparently had an eyepatch for some reason.
But..I think thats because I dozed off during a commercial for MGS3.
My subconcious is terribly dull, yes.

uh shudders on that first one.

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats horrable

Only a tad funny.
A Clockwork Tomato thank you that very inyesting info. It would be sweet if there was a way to record your dreams then watch them in the moring when you wake up. Sort of like in the Final Fanisy movie.
Sharpshooter005 I think something like that happened to me once. I was in the middle of a dream and when my radio alarm started the first note out of it cut the dream, that was painful.
Howler_65 with mine it will happen a few days of a week later and it's not really nice.
Thank you soo much everyone for posting even when I don't post much myself.
A dream for the future of mine is to be a actress on stage or maybe on camera. I LOVED being a part of our schools musical which had a full house one night or maybe two. The musical was "Hello Dolly!"

Well, after I started taking Valerian, i stopped remembering my dreams. i think that may just be a coincidence, because i rarely remember my dreams.
