Your Dreams

I hate nights when I keep having little bits of dreams like one after another with end, it "wakes" me.

A night not two long ago my mom and I were a resteriant and it was really dark in there so I fliped the swich and it got really bright and the hostess lady got mad at me for doing it. I go off to the side to use the bathroom and when I'm walking down the hall it looks like a dressing room with curtains for doors and the have peoples names on them, on one of them has my name (real name) and by one of then that looks like a big closet a sign says"No Cats" or something and a woman behind me is giving me the evil eye cause I think I have one of our kittens in my arms. Werid uh?

Thank you to all of you who post and to those who will post, I enjoy reading about them.

Friday 24. Doesn't anybody have anything else to say here? Come on I know at least half of you have had a dream in the past few nights. Roll Eyes

I know it a double but I wnated to say this dream.

I was at some house and one of my moms "sisters" was getting married. Well I guess it was my job to carry the dress so I put it on so it would be easier to carry, I can remeber trying to go up some steps but I had to turn like the part by my legs was tight. LAter when some woman says I have to take it off so the real bride can wear it she said I had the bodse on side ways and the "skirt" on backwards. The dress was really beutiful. I should make a drawing of it so I won't forget.

Thats not a double, a double post is when you do them less than 6 hours apart.

I had this dream twice long ago (I think). I was in my house and the Rugrats (if you don't know who they are, watch Nickelodeon) were demons; I was part of the Scooby Doo gang and it was like we were in a video game. My mom was sick (or asleep, couldn't tell) and the rugrats (who were "good demons") wanted to care of her, so I left and followed Shaggy and Scooby outside. But the ran out at the sight of brightly colored little people and I think mushrooms. Then a bat flew in front of me and changed into Dracula, blocking my way outside. I kept looking into his eyes, and somehow I got smaller. Then I realized I was shrinking; I died and he started laughing. I somehow came back to life and trid to escape, but I made the same mistake o looking at his eyes and died twice.

I finally figured out how to dodge him and he chased me outside in bat form until I got to the Mystery Machine where The Scooby Gang were (if you have no idea what the Mystery Machine is, watch Scooby Doo; it's sad you don't know who they are.), and we sped off, dodging the zombies from Resident Evil. We didn't get far 'cause the Mystery Machine flipped over and we all split up, so I was with Shaggy and Scooby until they got scared and ran off somewhere, leaving me near a jail/graveyard. Sweatdrop

I had to start running because zombies and cops on vehicles were chasing me, and the next thing I knew a bunch of bricks came flying at me; I wasn't hurt, but Johnny Bravo (I'm tired of telling you to watch channels because your to lazy too watch some Friday night cartoons, but Johnny Bravo's on Cartoon Network usually on Fridays) burst out of the jail wall and started running with me. I started running really fast and left him behind since he jumped the graveyard fence, but he caught up to me on a motorcycle and sped off.

I somehow got surrounded by Dracula, zombies and skeletons, etc. (It was nighttime, but the sun was out somehow.) I was standing on railroad tracks, and I shouted something like, "Jesus, save me!!!!"

Near the sun and/or moon, a cross appeared in the sky, glowing. A light came down from it, and I think angels appeared and attacked the demons and Dracula, destroying him and the demons in the bodies (I have no idea what happened to the Rugrats, or my mom but I'm sure she was saved). The rotting, deformed bodies fell all around me to the ground. Then I think I saw a glowing figure of Jesus coming down from the cross. His light touched the bodies, and first the skeletons sprang to life, once again surrounding me. Then muscles and tendons and such began to grow on the bones.

I heard a meowing and I looked down to see a skinless kitten purring at me. As I reached down to pet it, it's skin and fur grew back on it, and the skin on the "undead" grew back too. When everybody looked alive and normal, I looked and saw Jesus smiling. I can't remember, but I think me and everyone else, including the animals bowed to Him and thanked Him. We then watched Him go back into the now day sky, into the sun. I stood there (typing this almost makes me want to cry) and watched Him go up, and I think I was holding the kitten as the other animals and people stood around me, with tears in their eyes and smiling.

Really?

DOA SOBF: Thank you I thought it was a good idea too. You dream is werid.

Sometimes the most fun dreams are the ones that are werid, anyone else think so?
Atropos 10-14-2004 03:22 PM
Definitely the dreams that are the weirdest can also be the most fun. I had a dream from when I was seven, and it was so weird that I still remember it just as well as I did back then. I won't go into a lot of detail, but it had to do with what I've deemed a "Keebler Fairy" (Keebler elf dressed up as a type of Cinderella fairy-godmother, poofy pink dress, little crown, wand, and everything) and my grandfather's ghost playing gameboy on my bed and wearing headphones (you'd think that part might have been a little creepy, especially since I was seven, but if anything, it was a kind of comforting, cool thing).

And as if to add more evidence to the weird dreams being fun, my boyfriend just a couple days ago had a dream where he was driving through 6 inches to a foot of chocolate pudding. When he turned his car around to go drive through it again, firemen had come and were washing the pudding off the road. This saddened him deeply, since driving on pudding is apparently a lot of fun--so much fun he says he wishes he could try it in real life now. Tongue

Thank you and you're welcome!Big Grin I've had stranger dreams, and though I can't remember them at the moment, they were some strange dreams.. Sweatdrop

Atropos: Driving though pudding would be fun, then again if I could drive. A dream that you had a long time ago and still remember must have a special meaning or its really werid, in your case the second one/ Thank you for sharing and I like your avatar.

MidnightLight: You are nice and polight, thats nice to see...er..hear. Tongue Try to remember any of your past or current dreams, I would love to hear them. That goes for everybody.

One time I dreamed I was sitting on a mound of debris in a thrown made of human skulls while cracking a whip. And wearing a crown made of Femurs.

I almost never remember my dreams for more than a few minutes after waking. I'm told that if you jot down a few lines about your dream as soon as you wake, it'll be enough to let you remember the whole thing. I haven't tried it.

I've heard the same, but never tried it. Apparently, it engages enough of the brain to place it in conscious memory. That's why thinking only about your dream for the first few minutes after you wake up will cause you to remember it, too.

Ooookayyyy.....

A Clockwork Tomato & Wienberg: I've never tried it eighter but if you try write something down when you don't have your eyes open, like when you're still mostly in sleep mode, you might not be able to read it.

Thank you to those who post, it makes me happy.

Once I had a crush on this girl, and I had a dream where I was having lunch with her and some friends of hers. She went to the bathroom and her friends told me that she really liked me. But it turned out she didn't like me. Frown

One technique for remembering your dreams is to keep a pad of paper and a pencil right next to the bed, along with a flashlight if you are with someone. Keep and extra writng utensil nearby incase you drop the first one. If you wake up in the middle of the night, jot down a few details. You don't have to go through the whole thing, because you might end up just keeping yourself awake. The idea is to be able to trigger your memories in the morning.

Another is to drink a lot of water just before going to bed. You will wake up( for obvious reasons) right about the time your dream is ending.

My oddest dream was me going to take my son to a playdate. We were going to a friends house. But the neighborhood was all wrong. I was driving in a suburb instead of the little mountain community I really live in. On the way I saw what looked like mountain lions walking along the sidewalk ( we have the lions, not the sidewalks).
They were not walking together, but I did see three of them. It was odd to see them walking in a residential area.

When I got to the friends house there were all these people there. It was like a party instead of a playdate. I was shunned because I was a single mom(I'm not in real life, just in the dream). I felt very lonely. don't remember much after that.

The worst is when you dream that you get up and use the bathroom. Been there, done that.

I think my dreams have been too graphic for me to post or even write about. Bummer, I really liked them though.

** thinking about a great dream concerning Big O cosplay and an orange vested person in a Dorothy outfit. **

** slaps himself **

Nope, nothing I can share here. Tongue

when I was little I used to wet the bed because I would have dreams about peeing and then be peeing the bed while i was dreaming I was peeing..

that makes sense right?

You're not the only one this has happened to. I'd dream I got up and went to the bathroom, and I really WAS going to the bathroom...just not IN the bathroom. Tongue

And as for drinking water before you go to bed to wake you up, I've done that on occasion--usually it totally interrupts a dream, and the rude awakening causes me to basically forget everything, or I wake up in the middle of the night before I've even had a chance to dream. Wish that trick would work right for me...

P.S. Yomiko, thanks for the compliment on my avatar. Smile
