Nominate your choice for "Best Song Ever..."

The Fallen Phoenix 07-27-2004 10:06 PM
Out of curiosity, I'd like to see what Paradigm says is "The Best Song Ever." However, if we really want this to be a fair, open competition, we're going to need song nominations. Therefore...make your nominations! The songs can be from anything...a movie, a game, a CD, a play...just nominate away!

If a song has already been nominated, feel free to nominate it again, as songs with lots of nominations are going to be assured of getting into the final polls...this is really a preliminary poll of sorts. However, I will request that all members limit their nominations to four or five songs at most.

I'll start it off with a few nominations:
  • Bohemian Rhapsody--Queen (Album A Night at the Opera)
  • On My Own--(Les Miserables)
  • Once Upon A Time In America--Ennio Morricone (Once Upon A Time In America)

I'm saving my fourth and fifth nominations for a later date...depending on some of the other nominations I see.

I nominate Get out of my dreams, get into my car by Billy Ocean. It's one of those classic love songs you just can't forget.

I third it. Its just a great, great song.

Under Pressure, by Queen and David Bowie.

Baby Got Back, by Sir Mix Alot. Yeah, you say to yourself, "That song is idiotic, Big Money, what are you talking about!" But I know what your really thinking. Your thinking "Man, that song is the shiznit! I even know all the words!"

You know you do. Just like Ice Ice baby.

Crap. I thought this was, like, the greatest rock song or something. If it's not just rock, then...

Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, the Fourth Movement (A.K.A "Ode to Joy")

There!

"Sentimental Street" by Night Ranger
"Forever Young" by Alphaville
"Waiting For A Girl Like You" by Foreigner

And THAT, my friend, is by Billy Joel.

Just wanted to get everything straight.

I think I am Parnoid- by Garabge

Oh and,

"Casualities" by Red Delicious

How can you nominate more than one song for "best song ever"?

A nomination for the title "best" implies that you truly believe that it is better than any other piece of music ever written. So how can there be two!?
