The Paradigm Confessional Thread

Some of the moderators and I have been discussing this thread, and we thought that it would fit in a little better in the Bar, since it works similar to how many of the forum games do. Please note that this is not an excuse to start spamming the thread with useless confessions, so you may continue posting as you did when this thread was in the Speakeasy.

I don't know why I'm doing this. It's completely out of character for me. I'll start small.

Hearing bad poetry makes me tear up for some reason. I imagine it's because I'm embarrassed to have heard it. Paperwork also makes me cry. The reason why is anyone's guess. (

I HATE children. They're noisy and sticky and I think they should be put in kennels until they are 20. Sorry. There are exceptions, of course. These exceptions do NOT include children with cell phones. *shudder*

I laughed at my grandmother's funeral. Now, I wasn't laughing because of the funeral. I loved my grandmother. Something just struck me funny at exaclty the wrong moment. I don't even remember what it was anymore. I only know I was mortified. Sorry, Gramma!

I feel guilty for accepting money for anything other than solid items. Yes, I know that's crazy.

I can't honestly talk to people. I never keep in touch with anyone, not even my family. I have exactly two friends. That's only because I've known them forever and they won't let me get away with shutting them out.

I think my Dad and I were a lot alike. Pity he didn't give me a chance to find out before he died. He died when I was 15 and I still haven't forgiven him for being gone so much and shutting me out. I know that makes me a hippocrite, since I see myself doing the same thing with everyone I know. I think I'll end up the same way he did, unless I break a promise.

I dropped out of college in '99 when I ran out of money to pay for it and have been in a complete decline ever since. I want to go back, but I feel it's too late.

And now the thing that I'm most ashamed of-

I have a genius level IQ but I'm a complete DOLT. My family and teachers always had high expectations of me. In my studies I could meet them easily with minimal effort, but in life I'm a total failure and I've come to the point that I'm afraid to try.

Moral to the story: Kids- don't waste your time in CP classes. Learn something practical in votech. You can still go to college AND you'll have the skills to ACTUALLY pay for it if you have to.

Wow. That's cathartic, not to mention cheaper than therapy. This post never happened.

I am a "recovering" cutter. I did it a few times during my life, but I never told anyone. I stopped on my own...but it is one of the most shameful secrets in my arsonal.

I...sort of know how it feels. I never met my real grandfather. But now that I'm on my own (and away from my mother), I plan on calling him soon.
