Over the years, I've come to realize that many of the people i've cared about for so long have become traitors to me and my family. I've decided i don't want any problems, and that I don't want to deal with them anymore, so i stay away from them as much as i can.

Dude, I know exactly what you mean. I was like that for 20 years (or so).

Now, I am in a perpetual state of euphoria. It's odd how certain events and people can change that. Thank you Bethie (my love), Pygmalion, Zola, BabyGhia, Madrona, Dork, A Clockwork Tomato, Falcon7 and IamRogerSmith made this possible.

I've never had a boyfriend and I've never actually been on a date. Of course, I don't really make myself available, but yeah xD Me being attracted to someone is about as rare as a solar eclipse.

I don't really have any friends anymore. I think I'm actually closer to those I know through the internet. I wish I had some real life friends with similar intersts who aren't flakey and don't use me/don't really give a sh** about me despite my loyalty and what I'd do for them.

My friend tends to do that a lot. Some people are just like that. Kinda odd yet norman (in a way).

Oh I know that. Problem is, girls only see me as the nice guy who they don't want to date because it will ruin the relationship. Roll Eyes
AndroidZeroX 10-07-2004 09:08 AM
yeah i know what u mean, i was like that an am still like that with some of my friends, but u shouldnt try an push girls that know u for being that way. The best advice i can give u is that u go after some girls that dont know ur personality so well. trust me u want to be known as the nice guy, but only after u have a girl interested in u.

If ur not bein sarcastic, just tto let u know, that everyone lies a lot, becasue no one life is so interesting that they have tons to talk about, so they make stuff up to talk about so they just have something to talk about. I do it. Everyone esle does too, some more than others, but its not really that bad a thing.

If I hear one more girl say, "You're like a brother to me" or "You're such a great friend", I swear I'll f***ing go Samurai Ewok on any nearby victims (not really)!!! I am tired of being my female friends' shoulder to cry on when their crappy relationships with the bum of the week/month end as I predicted and even HOW I predicted when they first started dating.

I've started taking the approach of just flat-out calling them an idiot and to stop their whining because it gives me a headache. Since sympathizing and hand-holding doesn't work, maybe a nice big bucket of verbal cold water will.

Man, that sounds bitter... And it is. I can't tell you how many girls that I've liked have done this to me. My question is: What do they expect when they date a guy who's so obviously a LOSER? I mean, these guys aren't going to school, they flirt with anything remotely female, treat my friends like garbage even before they start dating them, and yet these girls come back begging for more every time. It defies all logic (no female/logic jokes, please)!

I think I'm going to switch to asexual reproduction... Just divide my cells and create an exact copy of myself.

As for lying, of course I've lied and I continue to do so. As for making up stories so that I'll have something to talk about, I unfortunately have not. I say unfortunately because not all of my stories cast me in a positive light and yet I still tell them. Why? Sometimes just to sympathize with a person, sometimes to teach a lesson so that someone doesn't have to face a similar experience, sometimes just to get it off my chest, etc. All of the stories I've told here are true and as far as I can remember, the facts have not been embellished intentionally. Human memory, however, tends to embellish many things for us, so I'm certain I've misstated something along the line unintentionally. Oh Well

I think the key is to not worry about whether or not a true story about yourself is boring. I tend to make them interesting by adding my thoughts during the event being discussed and, when in person, using facial and hand gestures that express how I was/am feeling. I also make weird pseudo-imitations of people's voices to make it amusing. I mean, I wrote a whole story on how I picked/installed Linux on my desktop PC and then found out my modem was incompatable for a class and just expressed my hardships comically. I'm sure it got at least a chuckle out of the professor. Big Grin

I didn't vote in the student elections on campus this last week despite my personally knowing several of the candidates. I just see no need for SGA other than to boost people's popularity, have something to put on a resume, and to take more of my tuition money and waste it.
