I'm going to be honest... since some of you will probably pick up on it anyway.

spoiler (highlight to read):
Tony and I didn't talk for a week. It was a tough week because I didn't have one of my best friends to talk with. Thanks, Madrona, very much, for stepping in and making sure that we talked and communicated again.

Ah that sucks. I can understand though...

spoiler (highlight to read):
Me and my bestfriend are hardly friends anymore. we used to be so close that we were inseperable, now we never even talk. we were suppoused to go out of town to Santa Cruz with some friends this weekend, turns out she lied to me about even asking for it off.

Needless to say, it's totally killing me. (There's the confession part, the depression! I knew you were wondering when that was coming)

spoiler (highlight to read):
Sadly, although we like to think we will be friends with people forever, we--and they--can change, and the friendship can die.

Now would be a good time to start spending time with other friends and perhaps allowing yourself to get closer. You also could put your cards on the table with your best friend "We used to be so close, what has happened?"

Sometimes the honesty will mend the relationship, sometimes it will bring out that you are not in fact best friends any more, but either way, you will know. Believe me, it's better than letting her keep putting you off and then hurting. Sort of like a bandaid--one quick rip is WAY WAY less painful than trying to pull it off slowly.

Oh, I should make a confession too.

Ah, love. I'll make my own little post about it; since I recently fell in love, I've changed a good deal. I'm no longer able to speak with my friends in person since I have just moved (and am still adjusting to my new environment) but over AIM and on the phone, a few have made note of the fact that I am very different. The "new me" is almost the very opposite of the person I was; I'm relatively hyper (believe it or not, I'm usually calm), I cry over most everything (I'm an emotional softie now; friends have taken note of that as well, and that is the complete opposite of the person I was in all respects), and worst of all I'm even less able to concentrate on my studies. Yeah, love changes you. If I seem dramatic, my apologies...I really do hate melodrama myself.

Here's the clincher, and the very fact about love I've just recently noticed...it's not "fun" (far too serious to be fun) but it is worth a good deal of sacrifice. Besides, the girl I love deserves far more than I could ever give her.

spoiler (highlight to read):
Bout the lack of concentration: I oughta go into detail about that one. I've been in college a month and have been more irresponsible and wasted more of my time than I deemed possible. With the support of my friends, including more than enough from the object of my affections (dare I call her an "object?") I have only today realized that I must work harder. Hopefully I haven't completely screwed up my chances to score a couple "A's" at the end of the year.

However far behind I am in school, and however much work needs to be done, I'm willing to go through with it...love may have been a factor but it's not fair to use that as a scapegoat. It's my own damn fault, and what I really need to do is kick myself in the ass and take some amount of responsibility. After all, this is my freshman year of college.

spoiler (highlight to read):
Oh yeah, one more thing to add (how could I forget?): I once intentionally set off a fire alarm in my old high school. Evaccuated the library and such, 'twas great. They never did catch me, though...and uh...I wouldn't do that sort of thing now >_>

spoiler (highlight to read):
That's great Hanyou! Pleased I'm glad to see that you've been changing for the better, and that the love of your life has helped influence you to do so.

Now Paradigim gets to see the soft, cheesey side of me! Big Grin It's not easy to fond the one you love, but when you do... It must be a miracle for the other to have the exact same emotions as you do. It took almost a whole year for me to tell her how I really felt. Wow, I had never felt so better in my life. I had finally got my deepest secret off my chest. Well, I knew that she had a boyfriend, but I dreamed big that one day she would maybe feel the same way about me. Maybe I dreamed a little too big because in the end... I was crushed. She said I was annoying and never wanted to talk to me again. Wow, that's when you know to stop living in your own dreams... I didn't know what to do. I felt weak... That moment I was in right there would last forever. I wanted to get life over with... Well, in the end we're friends again.

I decided I'd never dream big again. I'd look to reality, forget about the past, and start over again. Then... The same ol' me came back again. I met a girl named Tara. We've talked a couple of times and I really like her. I imagined that one day I could tell her about my feelings and she'd reply, "I like you, too, Josh." That day hasn't come yet. I'm too much of a coward to tell her... Next, I figure out my own friend likes her.

What hurts me is that she would probably choose him over me. I'm just that goth kid everyone ignores. So, yeah... I feel horrible. God, words can't even describe it.

Well, now that's off my chest.... I feel a little better.

See ya,

Heh. Well, time for another Love related confession. Roll Eyes
So far, I'm in the same condition as Exhale Saga; being rejected by girls all the time. I have asked about 5 different who I felt had liked me. Sadly, though, all of them didn't like me back, so... Crying Although I tend to keep to myself sometimes, I am friendly with everyone and try to help them out in any way I can. That's the reason why I don't have anyone to love yet. Smile

Eh... My problem is that I'm convinced that I'm hated no matter where I go. I didn't go to a social event tonight because I'm convinced that everyone there hates me and want nothing to do with me. This comes from my shy personality to begin with, but it also has to do with what happened my senior year in high school. I found out that a lot of people who I thought were at least friendly acquaintances were actually saying cruel things about me behind my back and basically hated having me around.

I sit at home alone because I assume I am alone. Wink

I used to think that too, but my brothers helped me out a lot, and assumed that even if nobody really likes me, there's still a chance they could like you, you should just reach out to people. I know its easy for me to say (since I'm not making your choices) but if you often reach out to people (not even reach out) just say "hello" to people and leave them alone, eventually they'll end up thinking you're friendly, and will want you around them since they can trust you a little bit.

Everything you just said about yourself could also be applied to me. I have just moved. I still communicate with old friends but I am very different than how I used to be. I can't concentrate on school. And I too fell in love. However, the outcome was not what I wanted...

My confession:
spoiler (highlight to read):
I have a chance to go back to Texas to visit my friends, but I am afraid that they might have changed and things won't be the same as they used to be. This especially applies to the girl I fell in love with....I don't know what will happen when I see her again. I don't want her to treat me like I'm someone who's not important in her life. The way things are now, we are still friends. But I fear that she is losing touch with me because she has a 'boyfriend' now.

It's true. From what I've been able to figure out, from here and IRC you are a pretty funny guy. Just be yourself. It's hard when people have violated a trust you had, but that doesn't mean that everyone is like that. It just comes down to taking a chance. How brave can you be?

My confession:
spoiler (highlight to read):
I tend to get involved in things that don't concern me. I use this as a way of avoiding my own problems and feelings. I use it as a distraction so I won't feel the hurt or pain I really have.
