alright! I said I would post the prologue to Rise of the Megadeus as soon as I had it ready. well, it's ready now! this story will be very good. If you all like it I will continue and embelish. Keep in mind that this is a prologue though.

Prologue: The Alpha of Omega
Hello, my name is Tyler Smith, and I am here to tell you a horrific tale of our world’s future. In late 2003 a horrible chain of events will occur, leading up to another World War in 2006. The world will be annihilated, but some people will survive. This is my story, how I survived, how I came to be who I am, and how another cataclysm occurred. Now it is time…
The chain of events began around December of 2003, not long before Christmas. I suppose it all really started on September 11, 2001, but that is another story. America, my homeland, had adopted the policy of pre-emptive attack in order to prevent a repeat of September 11th but that fool George W. Bush didn’t realize how destabilizing this policy was. It was the war in Iraq that began the destabilization of the world, faulty intelligence and whatnot. America suddenly turned from a protective Big Brother into a big bully, pushing around nations it didn’t like. This caused other countries, which didn’t believe themselves to be in favor with George W. Bush, to begin trying to bulk up their armies. They began to obtain uranium and other materials necessary to construct atomic weapons.
Thus another atomic arms race began, but this one put the Cold War to shame. Bush attempted to make these countries stop, citing the doctrine of pre-emptive strike, but they didn’t care. Not even the U.N. could bring this arms race to a halt. So, in order to make an example, America attacked North Korea on December 18, 2003. U.S. Special Forces managed to capture and subdue the country in less than sixty-five hours, but not before North Korea managed to launch six nuclear warheads at its neighbors. Seoul, Dalian, Anshan, Fushun, Inch On, and Tangshan were annihilated. The estimated casualty count was over sixty million.
China blamed the United States for all of their loses, and so they severed all ties to it. The arms race only sped up as well. On January 14, 2004, Japan ceded from the United Nations and broke off all ties to other countries as well. Relations with America were going poorly on the fronts of all nations, most of them followed China’s example and broke off all ties. Japan however remained a mystery, no one could figure out what the Japanese were doing.
The United Nations was on the verge of collapse and chaos reigned supreme throughout the world of diplomacy. Most nations had broken off any ties they had to the U.S., only countries that depended on it refused to break ties for obvious reasons. During April of 2004 Congress managed to pass a bill that would allow George Bush to stay in office for another four years so that he could concentrate on task at hand, instead of re-election. This only roused world anger even more, and the Democrats did not take this breach of political protocol lightly. But George Bush managed to stay president as chaos enveloped the world.
By November of 2004 the American government finally managed to get the pressure off of itself by setting fire to the mystery of Japan. The release of several spy photos indicated the construction of highly advanced war machines. This united the U.N. in a campaign against Japan, which had isolated itself from the rest of the world. A Japanese diplomat informed the rest of the world that Japan had no desire to conquer the Earth, but the man was not received very well. On February 1, 2005, the United States had declared war on Japan and several other nations were on the verge of adding to it. By February 14, 2005, the U.S. navy had surrounded the island of Japan and was on high alert. On February 15, 2005, all contact with that fleet was lost; satellite photos indicated that the entire fleet had been destroyed by something.
Chaos and confusion once more came over the world. More nations sent their armies to attack Japan, but each attack force was obliterated mysteriously. World tensions were at a peek by July 2005 and they showed no signs of subsiding until Japan was destroyed. During all this time the nuclear arms race had been forgotten, and it would come back to haunt us.
On December 10, 2005, a giant multi-nation army was assembled and was dispatched to assault Japan. This massive army was the work of almost every country in the world. Even the U.N. aided. On the 12th Japan was surrounded completely, the most advanced weaponry in the world was targeted on the island nations, but just like before, by the 13th the entire force was destroyed. World tensions skyrocketed and civil wars broke out in many nations. The U.N. broke down and fell apart and a World War was believed to be at hand.
January 8, 2006, signaled the beginning of World War III as Iran launched a nuclear warhead at Israel. In response, Israel counter-attacked with no less than fourteen nuclear weapons, annihilating all of Iran’s major population centers. Thusly, World War III began. By February of that same year every nation was involved, the massive nuclear stockpiles that had been hoarded up were beginning to be put to use. People panicked, every day there was a report of one nation nuking another. People began try to flee but there was nowhere safe to run. The human race had begun to annihilate itself…
