What the Hell are you HUMANS thinking? Birds and other winged creatures only!

Nah, we'll all die out before then...
You'll see...Fourth Impact...all humans will be merged into the Speakeasy...and hordes of Manji clones will populate the world.
That will be the Apocalypse...Earth will be inhabited by Manjians...

Shhhhhhhhh! How the hell did you figure that out!? See I planned this to happen, I'll use my grevito ray to pull the comet pegases right into the atlantic ocean, causing such a horrible tidel way of warm water that all coastline countries will perish, and the warm water will cause the polar ice caps to melt and covering the world in water, then I'll use my pre-placed earth's crust bombs, and force all of the land above the water again

And here I thought it was just going to be the Ninteenth Angel...
Guess I was wrong, didn't suspect that a comet might be involved.
If perfection exists, I doubt its something humans will ever reach. We still have idiots fighting over land and we're always developing more powerful weapons to destroy our own kind. If we can't even accept others of the same kind, we will never become perfect.

I'm not saying it will happen soon, but it may happen some distant day from now...
The reason I say Humantiy is uncapable of reaching perfection, is in our minds, we have primal urges, this world CAN NOT SURVIVE WITHOUT WAR, never forget that...
Mabey the world will be one step closer if we just destroy america...

Manji, I completely agree with you...wars are necessary for Human existance.
Think about it...Humans are always in conflict with each other, and themselves. But since we have government, conflicts get blown out of proportion...
Humans cannot accept themselves, let alone each other. I'm sure anyone can look at themselves and find some fault within them that they hate. Hell, I know I can.
However, Humans are even more critical of each other...even when we have no right to judge people, we do. Indeed...how many of you can honestly say you have never met someone and found some fault within them that you didn't like and wished to change?
Since conflicts occur at every level of Human existance, it is only natural it will occur in the levels of government and civilizations.
There is also the matter that war is an expression of Human emotion and creativity...and a necessary one. You cannot argue that Human existance has not been forwarded through war. Some of the best literature, art, and music comes from War. Some of the greatest innovations made by Humans come from War.
Indeeed, much of the world pulled itself out one of the greatest economic Depressions in history as a result of a war.
If you wanted to end Wars...you would have to end Humanity. Or at least, eliminate governments, so that wars aren't as deadly.
Hmmm...government...would you rather live in a state of Totaltalarianism or Anarchism, and why?

War is merely a larger version of fighting. Humans are by nature physical beings - they must move and interact. Using force is in their genes - to show alpha dominance to getting one's way by violence - the human race has not learned how to deal with it any other way.
Provided other channels can be found, there is a great possibility they may ascend to another level of existence.
But the race is fairly young, less than a million years old. give them a bit of time to grow up.
You do bring up a good point. I guess it is necessary, but I think that it is also one of our biggest flaws.

But the thing is, Humans aren't going to have much time to grow up...
We do have the capabilities to end the world in an instant. We've just been lucky no one has decided to throw out the idea of "Mutually Assured Destruction." Not to mention the fact we don't know what the Universe has in store for us...
And besides, we are running on a clock. Assuming we don't annihilate ourselves before then, the Sun (and the Earth) isn't going to last forever...
Humans really haven't matured all that much in the last million years...sure, we might have made some advances in science and technology.
We know how we tick...but we have yet to disocver why. And until Humans come closer to answering that question, our advances are for naught.
Okay, I am being a little overly critical here...but I really don't think technology is that big of a deal, because it is going to come eventually. Understanding of ourselves is going take a wee bit more effort.
It is true, Humans use violence because it is only way to resolve conflicts. It is the only way we know. Whenever people speak of a peaceful resolution...I'm sorry, but in our current world, peaceful resolutions don't exist. Relative to war, yes, they might be more peaceful, but even quietly resolving a conflict (and I mean really resolving it, in which one side admits defeat) can only happen in a violent way, physical or not.

Studying humans is a very interesting hobbey. I must say that I'm glad that some of you are capable of breaking your own primal urges, some of the time at least. Yes, it is true, you humans are sadly doomed to annhilate yourselves. Even if it is not a nuclear appocalypse or a third World War you will kill yourselves. Pollution, violence kept within the social structures. You will destroy yourselves. However, you have been very lucky. Another possiblilty could be the destruction of Earth. Every second at least 200 pieces of various space junk fly through the Earth's orbit. Eventually you may go the way of the Dinosaur, and be destroyed by an armeggedon meteorite.
It's sad, looking at those few of you who cast down the foolish others. Mutually assured destruction will not bind the humans forever. Look at muslim extremists. They give little care towards the greater consequences of their actions. Whether they destroy peace, slaughter innocent civilians, they care not. This is the unfortunate yet inexerable flow of life. It makes me glad that I am an android.

Well now, aren't you lucky.
So, let's change the subject a bit ,shall we? (Although if you want to post your ideas on war and human perfection be my guest)...
The next question! :
Would you rather live in a society that is in a state of total anarchy or a society that is in a state of complete totalitarianism (and no, you are not the head of the totalitarian state), and why?
Thats a tough question actually. I'd probably rather be dead then stuck in any of those situations.
Anarchy is pure chaos. You wouldnt be able to go anywhere safely without worrying about being killed by some Psycopath. I beleive Anarchy would never last long anyway, as theres always someone who wants to have power, and would seize control, whether it be someone with good intentions, or a powerhungry madman.
Under a totalitarian state, you would just have no rights whatsoever and could be killed for doing anything the leaders deemed inapropriate.
Either way would be hell in my eyes.

I see little difference between either society. In either one of them there will be utter chaos. Humans, as a race, resent being controlled. Not even democracy can control them. The more they are controlled the more they resent and try to resist it. Neither one appeals to me personally. Both would be utter chaos. Have any of you ever played Wild Arms 2? The game wasn't very good, but the plot did focus on some interesting and important themes. One of which was about controlling the world. It would be an impossible task due to culture clashes and a resentment to a single power. Things such as that. Both would be utter chaos from my point of view. Thus you would be living in the same thing. To sum it up the question has no point to me.

I don't know...they aren't as bad as you paint them to be.
Sometimes, a complete dictatorship that overrides beauracracy can be very beneficial if a good ruler is in place.
And anarchy in and of itself will have checks to prevent complete chaos.
I present you with this situation: you live in anarchy. No laws. Now, you can go rob the nearest store. You have a gun, nothing to fear, right? Wrong. Chances are that storeowner has a gun too. He wouldn't hesitate at shooting at you, indeed, there's no law stopping him from doing so!
Still think you're going to rob the store? You must be very sure of yourself, then. Good luck.

still, few think things through as logically as you do, Fallen Phoenix. Few humans understand the concept of what is good for all. instead they focus on what is good for them. and for these reasons a totalitorian ruler who actually rules justly and fairly is a fairy tale, it is a dream which cannot happen. look at history, humans always need a form of control yet they then always turn to destroy that control. order is a concept that is impossible for them to understand.

You are right, it is wishful thinking, but in the past there have been good dictators.
*An example (actually, 5) would be the Five Good Emperors of Rome.
*The Persian Emperor who really made Persia into a strong civilization (prior to the Greco-Persian Wars...not Xandes, I think the emperor before him) was also good....can't remember his name, think it started with a D.
*Almost every emperor from the Han Dynasty of China
I'll psot more when I think of really good ones...I'll have to dig up a few of my history books since I'm really not the best with names.
There are other dictators that did good things for their country, even if their methods were a bit harsh (not going to name them, but they're there)...
In an ideal world, both governments have their strong points. But, like Communism, they do fall apart in the real world.
But, in your opinion, which would be better for the general people in the real world? A totalitarian state, or anarchy? Personally, I think Anarchy...
If there was a good leader for the state, then of course a totalitarian state would be the way to go. There would always be those people who are unhappy, though. To some, an anarchy would be better. I guess its up to each person. It wouldnt be possible for everone to be happy no matter what form of government was in place.

As I said before, I can see no difference in the final outcome of either. If I absolutely must choose, I guess a total tolitarian state.
As for good dictators, well there were Julius Ceaser and Alexander the great. A couple of Chinesse emperors and some Japanese as well, though they might not fall into the dictator area.
But a good dictator now is wishful thinking. poeple are too concerned about themselves now. Law and order are not nearly as nessescary in the eyes of most people today as it was around 2000 years ago.
Oh and as a side note: Do any of you know about King Edward the second? He was a gay king and was murdered by having a red-hot iron poker (think fireplace) shoved up his ass. Just goes to show you that not even dictators can get away all the time.
