It's simple, the basis of marriage is love. But beyond that...it must be an undaluting, never-ending love. Not that married couples can't fight, they just shouldn't lose a marriage over an argument. It has to be the sort of love where one spouse is willing to do anything (within the realm of physical reason and situations that could actually happen, no matter how unlikely) for the other. Why? Love has to be the basis of marriage. I fyou can't see yourself waking up next to that person everyday of the rest of your life then you can't get married. A marriage is meant to be a union that lasts as long as both spouses live, "To death do you part." Too many people are becoming divorced these days. About one out of every two couples wind up divorcing. I've seen the sorts of problems that can cause, it happened to one of my friends. But back to the point, marriage has to be based on love. If it isn't then there is no way that a couple can survive all the hardships that they have to go through. You can always tell a happy married couple apart from others. My brother and his wife were in a car wreck a couple of weeks ago when they were driving to the airport to come visit us. An improper married couple would curse at eachother and play teh blame game. When I asked them about it my brother sort of laughed and said this, "Never drive behind a granny in a SUV." That shows a positive outlook on life, aided in part by the love from marriage.

Emotions the ability to think........these sometimes can feel like a blessing or a Curse I speak from my own experince and I cant speak for anyonelse its more of a person to person think anyway.Sorry if this seems out of place reading the posts just brought it up into my mind. Joy or sadness; hatred anger......its a cycle if you get stuck in one its hard to get out. For instance Depression its a real kicker you can pretend to be okay outside but inside your melting down and if it gets bad enough it can lead to you feeling like your existance is meaningless and that you would be better off dead... when that happens help is needed and if you cant find it to trust someone near; find someone to trust and talk to. Once you really get to know each other... you of corse are going to kave bad times... aslong as you and your spouse can get along most of the time... you will be fine...

agian i say to the media...
they make everything so super natural... You are going to have bad times no matter what... so don't break up for the little things... (but dont take too long to break up... because you don't want to ruin a good friendship)

Love comes and goes... but a friend is forever.(im sure someone has said that before)


EDIT: you still have to really like this person at first... but over time... things will change... but as long as you can make each otehr happy once in a while... its ok...

The media...

I have a lot of bad things I could say about the media...I think it is way too corrupted by the mainstream and doesn't do its proper job, that is, to inform the general public.

Of course, this has been a recurring problem throughout much of history...so I won't make this a media-bashing post. (Besides, there are some real good newspapers out there, like the New York Times...an excellent newspaper. And of course, there are always magazines that you could read for information as well...it just seems to me that most newspapers I come across don't do a good job in informing, doing a lot more tabloiding and whatnot instad...)

I mean, when the first page of a newspaper is about two celebrities breaking up...when on page 8 there's a very miniscule article about someone being raped...well, something is wrong there.

I think society is very hypocritical when it comes to censoring. It finds the need to censor some materials, such as anime and cartoons, while letting other materials (think prime-time television) have free reign. Of course, modern-day music (rap) and movies don't help much either.

Now, I might not be the biggest advocate on censoring materials...I just think if society wants to select an appropriate level for censorship, they should extend it to all fields and not a select few. However, I don't think this censorship should extend to newspapers and other devices used to inform the public. That is, be sure to censor pictures of people being killed and whatnot,

However, I do think some censoring should be done...young children are, in my opinion, being exposed to questionable material (including excessive violence, drugs, and sexuality) earlier than they should be. I think this might have something to do with the apparent de-maturation, as I like to call if, of the newer generations. The mainstream these days is very corrupt, I think, in that it focuses on themes that I don't think are suitable for an average pre-teen. Of course, some of this has to do with the easy access to information due to modern-day technology, and not just that which is shown in the mainstream. It is very easy to find questionable materials on the internet...even when you aren't looking for obscene materials, you could be wandering a tame site and get a pop-up that refers to it (hell, it's happened to me plenty a time).

Now, although it is true everyone will be exposed to it eventually, but I don't think it means we should force these themes onto people, especially children. If there is any way that children ought to be exposed to such materials, it should be through talks with their parents, and not on the playground of elementary school.

Religion.... I wouldn't go there, I may have no religion, but even I wont push that, no matter what I believe, its a touchy subject for some people...

I would have to say that the whole religion thing was weird. I found out that the first religion ever established was Hinduism and I have looked into more and more and relaized that is everybody followed these rules we would be even further in our advancements. I am not say other religions are inferior but Hinduism I belive is the right choice. Also those stereyotypical bastards can shove it cas not all Hindus are vegiterian. I am though. Well Schwarztwald......you're right. Our country is spoiled, but we earned it. The problem is people forget how we did this. HARD WORK! Like you said, with people sueing eachother and get-rich-quick scheams, we're losing what we had. What we need, and Im not saying this in a anchry way or anything, is a war. A REAL war. Something to pull this country together and say "Hey, we ARE the best! But right now, theres are problem. Let's get our sterotypical American genius and work ethic and kick some A. Look at September 11th (something that hit New Yorkers really hard). Sure, America was all patriotic and all. But how long did that last? A year? No, a war won't do sh** except kill more Americans. And if Americans die, the Media jumps on it and paints the war into a second Vietnam (see: Gulf War II). Regardless of the fact that the amount of people who died in Gulf War II is probably equiavelent to the amount of people who died in your average skirmish in one of the World Wars, but that's another story entirely...
