Besides, Al Pacino really is typecast. This is mainly because there's one role and one role only he's really made for.

Scarface set him up, and then dropped him down. Or are you going to tell me he was really any good in that movie with Robin Williams as a serial killer?

Scarface set him up? For the love of Vito, I hope that's a weak joke. Ever watch a little something called The Godfather? Oh and then, The Godfather, Part II? How he didn't win the Best Actor for Godfather II is beyond me.

See how this works? Also what about Serpico? Scent of a Woman? Carlito's Way? The Devil Advocate? Dog Day Afternoon? Because of the overacting, violence and hueg liek xbox amounts of cocaine, people just like to remember him from Scarface (which is a weak remake of the Howard Hawks original) and just screw the rest of the work he's done. Which is really a damn shame.

Several of those were great, but the Devil's Advocate? Now you're reaching. I'm a stereotypical guy who's obsessed with power and sex and [b]I[/i] was bored by it. It was as predictable as a B-Grade action flick with no action, and had all the drama of "This Old House" on Discovery Channel.

Eh, I liked the interaction between Pacino and Keanu Reeves myself. And it was a small, real and nice role from Charlize Theron as well. I liked how Pacino was able to twist Reeves around and not show that side of his character that was obviosuly more to him than what there was until the end of the film.

Besides, I was talking about his role in the film. Not the film itself.

Granted, Pacino does a great job at the violent and egomaniacal whackjob and at the embodiment of pure evil.

But there are still only a few actors who are so good thay make anything watchable.

The weird part is pretty much EVERYONE can name them.

And no, despite my (most likely) unhealthy obsession with Vincent Price, he is not one of them... [shudder]

Nobody could save the 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo...
