First of all where is exactly did you hear this information, was it an email?
I'd like to see it.
Damn you adult swim, the fans where the ones that made them popular, they started out as just a couple bullsh** shows in the middle of the night. I always knew from the start CN was in it for the money.
I see this as a chance to get season 3 into the hands of people who will give it justice.

Big O, all anime to soon lose their place on AS?
It's time to go straight at the source of the problem. |
I think they locked that thread becuase they claim you are starting rumors. |
I noticed. It was worth risking. It got the idea out and now people shall know. It either IS a harmful rule, or the mods are trying to supress uprising!
Let's take after the French and have a horrible revolt! Then be like Americans and actually stabalize ourselves instead of turning corrupt on our own then forgetting America's help with our war problems...
*cough*
Remember, guys.
Rant all you like on the boards, get it out of your system. All our dealings with Adult Swim must be IMPECCABLE if we want to be taken seriously.

What we have to make people aware is that Big O is not just the only anime disappearing! Many people right now don't mind that Big O is gone, but like I mentioned, when Cowboy Bebop gets deleted and gundam seed and all that other good stuff, then it'll be too late. Gotta stop the problem before it grows. I mean, the only reason I watch AS is for THE ANIME! The first time I saw Big O, I was addicted. I made it my job to tune in every night so I could follow the series. When seasonII was announced, it was unbelievable news, I couldn't believe how lucky I was. I remember the day ACT14 aired for the first time. I remember I was right here with most of you guys, GLUED to my TV. One thing I do know, if they do take away all anime shows, I won't be tuning in anymore. And idiots like them wonder why people downloading shows off the internet is increasing.

With a title like "It's Showtime!" you'd think it would be announcing a Season three.

I'm giving my 100+% support to savebigo.com I've heard the ideas from Zola, and I'm all for it. I'll sign up with the site when I return to my house.

As for those who are against a 3rd season, I say to you, "You don't have to watch it!

Sorry I'm a little late, but this is a HUGE surprise. This is the biggest surprise in the history of Big O, and this may very well rear the ugly head of CN forever. I applaud everyone here for there determination, and I can't be more awed then how so well crafted a site I have seen.
I will be more than happy to join as soon as I figure out who created the website (the HTML coder).

What exactly is keeping Big O from going to a different channel, like G4TechTV? And, another question, what were the ratings like for season two?

What the hell is going on here?
I can sorta understand not having a season 3,but to get rid of anime completely?
I mean, if i remember correctly, CN acqusition of anime over the years led to its growth, i sure as hell dont watch CN for that other garbage they show

What ever happened to the programming genuises at NBC who cancelled the original Star Trek series after 3 seasons because "no one was watching the show" ? Did they end up at Adult Swim?
Thirty five years after the original Star Trek went off the air the series is still popular. Like the Star Trek series, Big O has a timeless quality that has the potential to become a classic. To a network, classic means residuals, spinoffs and marketing. Think of how much money the Star Trek movies, and spinoffs made for its studio.
Like good fiction in general, Big O is active, not passive entertainment. Watching this show requires thought and inspires thought. From what I've seen in this forum, Big-O seems to attract a well-educated, affluent audience. Isn't that something networks want?
Other well written, well acted and well produced shows that were in danger of being taken off of the air have been saved by viewer action. Don't give up.

Ok I know I am going to be hated for this comment but oh well. What if OURwish does come ture and the third season dosnt have the same writers and it totaly sucks? Wouldn't it be beter if it stoped here were we know it was great and didn't turn in Star Wars like episode 1. I want the third season as much as the next guy but I just wanted to display another opinion. Also CN does very much need to keep up or even put more anime on there.
Big O seems more like Babylon 5 than Star Trek to me. Big O is art. Yeah, I know, I'm a fan. But I don't think calling that is in any way an exageration. The show is so craftfully put together, the direction is superb. You actually have to watch the show to fully appreciate it, you can't just listen to it from another room, the visualization is just so critical, and no, I'm not referring to the giant robot battles. As time goes on Big O's fanbase will only increase.
That's one thing (amoung many) that really sucks about television. Studios will occasionally produce an expensive art film for prestige sake, but I've never heard of an american studio producing a artistic show for the same reason. They don't think about the future. The studios want instant gratification when it comes to profits.
Look at Babylon 5, it was in constant danger of cancellation all throughout it's 5 year run. Hell, it was cancelled in the fourth season, it was only dumb luck (and a little prodding from Doug Netter) that allowed B5 to finish it's story. Warner Brothers wasn't about to support it during it's run but now B5's considered a classic and a valuable comodity, hell they're even making a theatrical movie.
I don't know what's wrong with these presidents and CEOs, you'd think every once and while they'd see a classic in the making and plan for the future and support it but they never do. I don't know, maybe predicting these artistic classics is just isn't possible. (though I doubt it)
