Big O - The Movie

I don't know to much about Tim Burton, I'm sure he is good with the visual stuff, but could he really direct and pull together a good story, plus the it would just encourage all the A-holes and their batman comparisons.

Hello again, I have not been on the forums now for sometime and just wanted to follow up on one of my few posts that I started. Here is an update on the movie plan.

I recently started researching everything that I could about Big O; I am currently watching the entire series for the third time in two months. I have developed a plot for a trilogy, along with the characters and other various things like Megadeuses; all of the characters have been sketched; all very cool. So now, I am getting ready to start writing. Sorry, I can post anything currently due to fact that I don’t know of a image host that will host large pictures and the fact that I like to keep secrets. I will try to update this post often, if people want me to. In addition, if this actually goes in to production I plan on it being 3d animation, with full details and no cel shading.

One last thing, I still need help on non-plot related things, if people are willing to help. Examples of those things are:

1. The eye colors of main characters.
2. The design of Paradigm City (i.e. number of domes, their structure, and their names \ major roads \ locations of key spots, etc.). I know where Paradigm dome is, as well as Roger’s house, but that is about it.

I can’t think of anymore things off the top of my head, but if I do they’ll be posted.

a movie before act 1 would be nice. it might clear some things up like that photo we see on his fire palce mantel, etc. etc. etc. Big Grin

Hmmm a Big O movie might be very nice as long as they don't mess up the voice actors and actress and also as long as they don't try to out do themselves or try to sum up the entire series into a movie I hate it when they do that because its never the same.

I think it would be cool if the manga could get summarized into a movie similar to how things were done with Akira.

i think the citizens of paradigm city are lucky. they got to forget their memories.

i, however, can still remember that horrific season 2 very well.Frown

the only big o movie i want to see is a substitute for season 2.

Im not sure what kind of movie Id like too see if it was a "cult-esque" continuation of the plot of the show ,it would be fantastic . On the other hand a big budget live action flick, depicting the episodes "Roger the Negotiator" too "The enemy is another Big" would be pretty sweet too ....but what we are avioding is wich actors would play wich charactors ..

John Malkovich is one of the few actors i think could portray Seebach correctly....but im just one person

my first post btw.. Big Grin

I'm actually 40% done with a screenplay based on Acts 1-4 (and a bit after) that I started writing a few weeks ago and continued to write every day (including during finals week and such). I'm submitting it to my schools as part of my portfolio that I need for entry. However, a few of my friends and family have looked it over and said it was damn good (without giving me the sympathy bs treatment). I slowed down the terribly fast-paced nature of the series just a tad bit, while improving (somewhat) the problem-ridden dialogue that somewhat plagues the series here and there. I have treatments for plans for a total of four (count 'em) different scirpts, each closely (or exactly) following the series.

...BUT GO FOR IT!

I would probably prefer a Season 3 but if not then I would definelty like to see a Big O movie.

Just thought I'd update the status of my screenplay for a movie. The first draft of the script is complete, so now it is time for editing and rewriting. The title for it is currently “The Big-O: Emergence,” and it will likely stay that. It realistically answers questions from the series, without destroying any of the existing plots. In addition, I may, within a month or two, put up some of my research images. They contain structural plans of the domes (still working on getting the correct numbers and placing), detailed technical designs (Big-O, MP vehicles, Griffin, other megadeuses, etc), and character makeovers (same look, more realistic).

Also, after careful planning I decided to expand from one movie to a trilogy. More stuff coming later.

Xeon Negotiator, you are really a go-getter. Computer animation? Wicked, simply wicked. I read through this thread just now, so I pretty much think you just need a good map of Paradigm. Well, if you read a very cool analysis by Sixfortyfive about everything of Big O, he'd probably be the first to tell you that in the series, there are so many clues into what Paradigm was before the event: NEW YORK CITY!

Also, just one teeny request: Bring Schwartzwald back from the dead! PLEEEAASSSEEE!
Xeon Negotiator 10-03-2005 05:36 PM
Yes, I couldn’t agree more with the view that Paradigm and Manhattan are one and the same. As for the map that is currently being worked on in this post. As for Schwarzwald, my personal view, based from the show, is that he can’t die; body yes, but not his “soul”. He is the only person who knows the whole truth of Paradigm, in a sense making him god like. So, can he return and affect events? Yes. Will he? I can’t say.

Also, I forgot to mention this in my last post, the names of all the planned films are as follows:
1. Emergence
2. Nefarious Half
3. Call from the Sea
