My guess is this question has been posted before, but since I could not find a thread about it, its back. In addition, it may be an obvious and stupid question, but I still will ask it. Where is Paradigm City?
From what I have seen from the show and looking through The Big O Visual, Paradigm City is clearly New York.
Am I right?

New York! Lots of locales in the series that show/hint this, and this picture is the final proof!
Nice one, Zopwx2!

I think in that interview in Animeplay that was just posted here the guy said that Manhatten was a base or something to the city, but outside of Manhatten was not nessassarly ment to repersent the area around New York though.

It was also hinted at that Paradigm was modeled after Gotham City From Batman... but Since Gotham is New York (Or as I understand it), then I guess it is New York.

NY and suburbs is the best locale (Manhattan sunk though, imagine that, I wonder where lady liberty is, Damn Dirty Apes!!!!) But why are there domes? My guess is that lots of WMD were dropped and destruction rained down forcin ghumanity tosheild themselves from the apocolyptic world that was created, then as an undefined amount of time passed, the domes became the 'City Limits' and the rest became outskirts of Paradigm. Alex mentions that 'it is a matter of opinion.' after Roger declares that the area outside the domes is Paradigm too. (This struck very close to home, as where I live the City limits are oddly shaped and the county and city do not treat the residential area outside the City limits with too much respect espeically in regards to water and roads.)
I think the dome idea is a classic one that has been around for a long time (Capital dome in DC) and has appeared in Wolf's reign over San Fransisco (with the Golded Gate Bridge), and in that series the battle was with the nobles. Just wanted share that.

It is interesting because Electric City apparently exsists in the form of Scranton, PA. It's is about a 2hr drive to New York, this would explain Electric City being on it's own and means some of the nearby cities survived at least in some way, also Scranton fits as it was once called 'Electric City' and the dam and such is very similar to the one we see on the screen.
I've always had the idea that Big Duo was abandoned at Lakehurst, NJ at the No.1 Zeppelin Hangar, it's is similar in contruction and would be large enough to house a complete Megadeus, it's also close enough to New York for Schwartzvald to somehow end up there.

Could you share a picture of Scranton's dam? I had been under the impression that cheap coal was the origin of the electricity that inspired Scranton's nickname.

It's an attractive notion, although the layout we see in "Enemy is Another Big!" more closely resembles an airport such as JFK International. Indeed, the MPs are speeding toward "JFK Mark." Still, I am amused by the thought of Big Duo inside
Lakehurst Hangar One -- he'd be able to fly in there!

Of course it's new york city! act 12 literally gave the answer away!
and unfortunately that was the only answer it pratically gave away in the whole entire season (including season 2)

Woah Cool... Then if what I think is correct... I live smack-dab in Union Country.. Hooray for Long Island.

Of course Paradigm City is NYC. In fact, in Act 1 when Roger and Dorothy are driving to Solderno's warehouse, I swear you can see the twin towers on the skyline. (This, of course, being well before 9/11.)

We know Paradigm City is in New York. But, has anyone really give the location of the Smith Mansion any thought? After reviewing a few episodes, I am almost convinced that it may be in Brooklyn, not Manhattan. It seems Roger always crosses a bridge while going to see a client. It's may be off the wall, but it's a theory.

I thought they specifically mentioned 72nd street in act 24 or so.....
I think Brooklyn has a 72nd street, too.
But I don't think Brooklyn has many tall buildings, like Roger's house is.

I have driven around the 72nd streets of Manhattan. Didn't find the actually address but my guess Roger mansion is located around the west side of Manhattan. Here's more proof. Glinda location is between Randall's Island and Manhattan just north of the Triboro Bri. Bonnie Fazier shooting was on the George Washington Bri. Roger driving on the Brooklyn Bri in Electric City. Levaitan #17 was found in Coney Island.
