Where is Paradigm City?

I think NJ was seen in some eps of Big-O like Act 5. The battle between the MP and the people outside the domes fighting for land buyouts. The battle takes place on the George Washington Bridge. In act 6 Big-O is taking on Constance from the angle I believe it is NJ facing the paradigm dome.

New Jersey is more than just the part of it across the river from NYC, you know. Ailesberry ain't
that big.
What I mean is that New Jersey is this strange wasteland where nobody knows whats out there... in Paradigm, at least (who knows what the Union knows?). And that's just across the river from them.

There is not superdome, we there is a thread where we figured out that those lights are just random scaffolding suspended in the air somehow accross the entire planet.
E-City has to be somewhere in real life with a hydroelectric dam

if it is scaffolding, what is holding it up? it needs some sort of support, and those huge stagelights are pretty darn heavy, you got a link to this thread?

here you can see its not a solid dome but a series of girders just stuck in the air, with little or no curvature.
You can clearly see coulds above the lights.
There is still some sort of sky/atmosphere.

but maybe. just maybe. the super dome is SO large, that the curvature is very minute, and unnoticable to the naked eye, the super dome encompassing all the territory that is inhabitable, outside being some sort of wasteland.

Not that many people go outside of Paradigm City. Mostly they talk about the wastelands that exist outside of it. Maybe some kind of ruins since somehow the Union found all the parts to Big Fau. So obviously the Union knows a little bit of what is out there and so does Schwarzwald but they have never been very specific on what is out there. Also given that most people in Paradigm don't seem to be all that curious and don't want to leave Paradigm.

| spoiler (highlight to read): |
| possible future plot point: The Union found old military bases with the advanced technology and that is where the Bonaparte and Big Fau technology came from. |

so they picked up technology? weird, seeing how Big O, and Big Duo had shrouded backgrounds, with no real origins to them. Maybe it was the same with them to the Big Fau?

This is what I'm thinking (bear with me):
The uber dome around Paradigm is really freaking huge. Big enough to cover Paradigm, Gordon's farm dome, Electric City, and all of the ruins. No one, not even Alex and Gordon, know about the existance of this super dome. Everyone believes that Paradigm is the last refuge of humanity because it is surrounded by ruins and desert. Probably enough so that anyone who ventured out would never come back. I don't even think the Union exists outside of this dome, but at a location that is just away from Paradigm. Maybe the Union is even the underwater people?
As for the retro technology someone mentioned a while ago, I wouldn't be surprised if that was some sort of fad before the event. The way people are, it wouldn't be too surprising if old style televisions with black and white pictures and vacuum tubes were made popular again. Then a whole bunch of stuff happened, and that's just how it stayed.
Done.

As far as we know Big-Duo was foung in a airplane hanger while Fau was unearth from various locations from the wasteland. As for Big-O no clue?

woa, big duo was found intact? i find that strange that an intact Big would be just sitting in a hangar (cough).

So, are you saying that those who have had the fortune of living outside the uberdome (the stagelights and all) would never come back? Whish is the exact opposite of what Dastun said.

maybe there is nothing outside of the uber dome, seeing how it's massive, and the foreigners/union ppl are the few rotten tomatoes, and people outside of Paradigm City.

Yeah. I don't believe there is anything outside the uber dome. And if there is, maybe it's like one huge "Truman Show," except with giant robots instead of Jim Carey (a fair trade, I'd say).

I still don't think there is a superdome.
Meaning I don't think there is any place in their world where it eventually touches the ground. The lights are just up there........
