Least Favorite Big?

Just did not like Big Fau. Didn't like the head. Didn't like the way the lasers things were attached. Attached? Why weren't they part of the main body? I guess they worked though, huh?

I think Big Duo Inpherno. Why? Because it simply lacked the class of the other Bigs. Plus it was a partcialy custom made megadues that wasnt even as good as the original. It just wasnt up to the standards of other bigs.

Big Duo inferno was such a panzy. Besides I hate alan. He thinks he's better then everyone else.

I voted for Big Duo Inferno. I just don't like how Alex restyled him. Leaving empty space where the missile launchers went so that you could see right through Big Duo's torso was just dumb.

As for Big Venus the biggest problem is that when Big V and Big 0 face off, Big V is incomplete. Which, while it makes sense in the context of the story as Big Venus is Angel and, she is still trying to decide who she is; doesn't lend itself to an impressive showing. You do get to see Big Venus very briefly during Roger's visions as he is drowning.

I think that Big Venus is the third generation Megadeus. With Big O (Land Attack), Big Duo (Air Attack), and Big Fau (Sea Attack) being the second generation. And the other Megadeuses (Osrail, Dagon, Leviathan, etc.)being the first generation.

big Duo inferno was interesting looking, certainly, but it seemed to me to be a lobotomized shadow of big Duo. so I voted for it.

My favorite remains Fau. I personally think it looks really cool.

The head was odd, but I didn't mind, it still looked interesting.

But Yeah, I too had a beef with the lasers, they didn't match the kind of style or technology that bigs would have.

Other than that its still a good mega, but behind duo and o.

Inferno had some cool points but overall it was just adding new paint to a junk car with no doors. It managed to put up a fight, but they couldn't reproduce it well enough, even the eye laser looked inferior.

I think it was becuase they didn't have the technology to really rebuild the missle launchers.... of maybe they were for the sake of aerodynamics...

Though the 3 bigs definately came after the other mega, its hard to say wether all those pre-big megadei were part of any one source, they just looked like a bunch of random unrelated megadei.

Leviathan, and Behemoth though seemed to be different.

Leviathan was designed to dig it seems.... and was seen fighting bigs in flashbacks....

and who knows what behemoth was all about, but I feel cheated, I wanted to see that thing kick some ass.

I guess Big Fau. I like all the Bigs, but Fau places last just because something has to.

I'm not overfond of Big Fau - but then again Big Duo Inferno wasn't up to much.

The lasers didn't, for me, seem to fit it. All of the other weapons seemed to work with the Big's, the lasers for me seemed out of place.

I have to agree with Evan on this one, even though I'm not surprised you’re judging something on how it looks, it's still a bad reason to not like something. Big O is very inspired; it took them a long time to come up with the final product that we see.

Also, I don't like Inferno that much, I think that Alan didn't use it to it's full capability.

Big O pwned all their shiny metal @$$es The men in black pwn all aliens, and Big O is black and it pwns all megadeuses (and Beck's robots).


So looks aren't EVERYTHING.

Big Fau was by far the worst. His weapons were amazingly stupid.

You really have to have the writers on your side for drills and cutting wheels to have any effect at all on armor. The whole concept is bogus. And the idea of shooting your arms at someone in the form of big, slow, harmless torpedoes is about the stupidest thing I've ever seen -- especially when they went straight through a skyscraper that wasn't there a second ago!

Big Fau had just two interesting weapons: the anomalously puny gooseneck ray guns on his back and his force screen. The only two Megadeuses that gave Big O any real trouble were the ones with force screens -- Constanze and Big Fau. (I don't cound Big Duo in Act 12 because the writers had to remove Big O's missiles just to give Big Duo a chance).

That's exactly what makes him the best of the bunch! Big O is almost unornamented, has little detailing, and in general radiates the attitude that armor, weapons, and skill are more important than paint and polish.

Where Big Fau and Big Duo Inferno give the impression of being ceremonial, parade-ground robots, Big O exemplfies the idea that combat is a serious, brutal business where results are what counts.

This exemplifies the American attitude towards combat, which had its best expression ever in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, where Indian Jones ended his opponent's display of fancy swordplay by shooting him.
