Four things within the past couple of weeks.
1) Lupin the 3rd: Missed By A Dollar (aka "$1 Money Wars")
-- A really good Lupin movie... but it's bugging me how the call him "loo- PIN" and not "loo-PON".
2) Box Tin -- Fullmetal Alchemist "Journey to Ishbal" DVD and FMA OST 3.
-- I blame false advertisement for this (and failure to return due to the store of purchase being in PA while I am in NY). I *thought* I was buying a box tin (which is decorated FMA style) with all three OST's for the FMA series. Turned out I only got the DVD and one of the OST's. However, I like the CD and I like the DVD. Plus I got it half-price.
3) Neon Genesis Evangelion set:: Death & Rebirth and The End of Evangelion
-- I blame curiosity on this purchase. I've seen maybe 4 episodes of NGE on Adult Swim (when they actually had it running)... and since the wikipedia [and everybody else] said the ending was a "brain-F@#%", I thought I'd test my endurance. Well, I survived. A very good set of movies from a director who had a sinful amount of free time on his hands. The audio commentary was quite insightful and also diminished the "brain-F@#%" quite a bit.
