Recent Anime Purchases

I just got the box set of Mobile Suit Gundam movies.

You can really tell where they kept old TV footage, cause it goes back and forth from pretty good animation to really terrible animation.

But it still rocks.

I just got the Witch Hunter Robin Anime Legends Complete Collection in the mail today.

I preordered the Ghost in the Shell season one boxset and I should be getting it in a few days.

I bought the 15th Bleach manga the other day.

Just slapped down twenty-five bucks without so much as a second thought for Ode to Kirihito. It's Tezuka. It's huge. It's gonna be awesome.

I just finished the Read Or Die TV series.

Jebus Christ is it awesome. And yet it still leaves it open for more. I also happen to find that pigeon hilarious. A nice, happy, somewhat satisfying ending, worth trying to work through the disappointing attitude of Yomiko and the constant tear flow from the Paper Sisters.

I'd love to see a new season, but like the Big O, it probably couldn't be pulled off well.

I just bought me the Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team Complete Collection. I ain't much of a Gundam fan, but this OVA is absolutely great. I love it.

A fair amount of that was gifts, another fair amount with a gift card. Thank god for Bandai's Anime Legends releases. Inexpensive, plentiful. Good way for me to finish up some older series I hadn't had the funds to acquire before. Also, they take up less space. All of Wolf's Rain and WHR fit in my old Wolf's Rain artbox.

I couldn't agree more. In the past couple weeks I picked up the Vision of Escaflowne complete collection and today I picked up the Witch Hunter Robin complete collection. Both comfortably in my price range, and series that I'd always wanted to pick up.

I also picked up Doubt!!! v. 3 and v. 4.

Hmm... those that Super GALS! Season 2 box set and Powerpuff Girls Z Collector's Edition Vol.2 DVDs I recently bought should be was here this week...

I bought "A Grave of Fireflies" collectors edition today. Sad movie. I orignially downloaded it, but seeing as the movie was so great I decided to pay my share and have a physical copy.

Not a lot...not a lot at all...but we finally made it to the book store at least...

The first and last thing I have ever bought was a model of Trowa's Gundam Heavyarms. The one with the machine gun arm and all the weapons. But now I'm trying to get the full series TV serios of Neon Genesis Evangelion, all the movies, and the manga series if I can. That is my favorite show of all time.

Instro, if you want to own Evangelion, this is your best bet. I own this set, and it's incredible: the sound is completely remastered, the image quality is fantastic, and while there are no extras, its the best quality evangelion at the most affordable price.

Finally bought Interstella 5555. Great movie with great music from Daft Punk. Also, the usual Powerpuff Girls Z Collector's Edition Vol.3.

I thought about buying the Big O international set but then I thought. NAH I use that money for something else.

Probably the Mobile Suit Gundam Trilogy set. Great stuff, and they're so long. Watching the whole trilogy is like sitting through all of the original Star Wars or Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

I also bought the End of Evangelion not too long ago. Very disappointed in the visual qualilty, after owning the Platinum boxset for the series.

I hope Manga re-releases a higher encoded quality copy. I don't mind OLD stuff, just when it's poorly transfered does it boil me in this age of HD.
