Hmmm...don't think I've posted here for quite a while.

Back at Christmas, I got the Azumanga Daioh "Class Album" Thinpak boxset.

This past week, I bought Vol. 1 of ADV's new release of Macross and the first volume of Godannar, truly two of the greatest giant robot series ever. Macross for being one the first and best "real" robot shows after Gundam, Godannar for knowing its '70s super-robot roots and not taking itself seriously at all while still making an excellent show.

Got A CD today:

Mazinger vs. Getter Robo: Dynamic Songz

a pretty cool cd, with the themes to Neo Getter and SHin Getter as well as 2001 remixes of the original Getter Robo, Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, and Grendizer themes. With instrumental versions of the last three. A very good grab in my opninon.

I bought AIR Vol.3 and AIR MEMORIES (both limited editions) a couple days ago. Volume three contains my two favorite episodes (Wing and Star) and the MEMORIES DVD contains the recap episode.

It'll be a while until I obtain all nine DVD's and the movie. Big Grin

I bought a few things from Japan in mid January and they finally arrived last week. I got a few new Lupin doujins, two from Valencay and one from K. Haruka.

The Poison Halloween
Kedarui Gogo wa Ame wo Matte Kara
Kenshi to Inu to

I also got the Dead or Alive Memorial Collection. It came with a lot of the usual stuff you find in guidebooks, character sketches, cast and staff interviews, storyboards and a ton of color screenshots from the movie. But one of the cooler things they added was a complete and detailed guide for all of the previous movies and TV specials
Out of all the animated Lupin material I'd have to say DOA's character design was my favorite. It was probably the closest you could ever get to seeing the manga in motion.

Thirdly, I was able to get my hands on two issues of the Official Lupin Magazine. These things are an inch thick apiece! Well that's probably because a bulk of it is manga (Lupin Y) but there's a lot of other content in there as well. The first few pages are always in full color and usually feature pin-ups, interviews and illustration galleries. It's really cool! Wish I could get a subscription.

But most importantly I got Cuties! Monkey Punch used to have it for sell on his website (which has been down for like two years now) for about 60 to 70 dollars but I found a copy for forty. Yes! The artbook is about 127 pages long, a hardcover with a (very pink) dust jacket. The book features a good portion of his work from the 60's and 70's. Most of it is just women but there's a good bit of Lupin in there as well. ^_^

It's my most prized possession. ~<3

Holy crap! The shipping and handeling for all this stuff was a fortune! Guess it's nothing but Ramen and bread for me this week. XP

First offs...

HOLY CRAP! Shocked It's M.S._Feather!

Where've you been? I genuinely missed you! Frown

Anyway, onto the anime! I've been meaning to recommend Gankutsuo to you all ever since I got it a while back. It's a really great break from my zany One Piece obsession, but I'm certain that many of you PCFers will appreciate it for it's refreshing amount of maturity and poise. Besides, all of the anime DVD critics are going ga-ga over it!

The Count may be incredibly vengeful, but he always has time to to that adorable anime smile! Anime Smile Awww.
