Recent Anime Purchases

On Saturday, when the forum was down. I went and bought the 4th DVD of Azumanga Daioh. It is now my favorite volume out of all of them.

Friday, my parents and I went to trade in some old DVDs and CDs. Well some of them didn't take at the first store we tried so we had to go to EB Games to see if they would take them. well they were doing that, I found the DVDs they had and most of them were Anime! They had CB movie (Have it), Saiyuki 3 (Have it), Ninja scroll (I gave that up once again...) But the one I got was Hellsing 2! Because you won't find that anywere elce but suncost as I found out. so I didn't pass that up. and at a cheep price it was worth it.....

I also got Hellsing Manga volume 4 the same day at the bookstore. hehehehe um.....*Backs away slowly, turns around and runs away! Peeks behind corner* Um....It's no diffrent when I had Saiyuki 3 and Saiyuki manga volume 4 on hold at the same time

Just ordered me Viper GTS, a hentai title which AoD gave a great review for (it got a A-)

i don't know if this counts as a purchase, but i won the soundtrack to Memories in a contest.

i sold the movie of kenshin to get the ending of giant robo at a second hand store....it was a fair deal...^^

Hellsing manga vol. 4

Lunar Legend Tsukihime Vol. 1 + Box.

I haven't listed my last dozen and a half anime purchases. It's mostly pokemon stuff. I'm working on getting the first season of the pokemon anime on DVD. So far I've got 'Psychic Surprise' (with 'The Ghost of Maiden's Peak' ^_^) and the disc with 'Prehistoric Pokemon' and 'Holy Matrimony' on it.

I also bought 'Pokémon: Adventures in the orange islands' volumes one, two, and three. One and Two have 'A Scare in the Air', 'Meowth Rules', and 'Pikachu Revolts'. The current pokemon episodes depress me. The first 100 or so are full of Team Rocket unnessesary touching fun.

I've bought some Pokémon boster packs hoping to revamp my old deck. I don't like the new cards. They're missing a lot of information on the cards that made the olds ones so interesting. The cards don't include pokedex info or the pokemon's level.

In the anime May is the new Ash and Ash acts like a responsible adult. Somethings just missing from Team Rocket, they were just better psedo villians/comic relief when Jessie and James were constantly clinging to and backing each other up. Aside from the gameboy games, all the new pokemon stuff is just subpar.

Last month's purchases were mostly made online. I bought R.o.d. the TV Vol. 1-3 with special box, Ah! my Goddess, Jin-Roh The wolf brigade, and a free catalog for Right Stuf. I had barely got my last package from them before I ordered The anime Companion, Record of lodoss war OVA set, and the newest Evangelion and Trigun mangas to be released this month.
I then won an auction from eBay for $60. That netted me both Evangelion movies, Iria boxset with tin, GitS: SAC vol. 1, and the complete Argentosoma (Haven't plugged that one in). All were legitimate, though the last one came from a different company than the one who'se selling it in the USA.
I was a a bookstore when they had a sale. Ended up buying Negima vol. 3, X-day Vol. 1 and 2, Oh my Goddess! sympathy for the devil, and the latest NewtypeUSA and Anime Insider. Basically, I'm looking at $300 in one month. I might buy more today, including Yomi-chan's Christmas gift. Goodbye, paycheck!

Went out shopping as well today and i got:
Gundam Wing Box no 1 (vol 1 and 2 of the GW dvds plus a action figure)

That Borders near lakeside will be visited by me a lot now i know they sell manga

Yay! Finally got Last Exile Vol. 6. Only one more to go!!!

Pokémon cards @_@ . . . lots and lots of Pokémon cards.

But I got a rare holo-foil (including border) Blastoise from the LeafGreen/FireRed booster set. I don't play with water Pokémon, but a card that pretty and shiney is a welcome addition to my collection.

I also got a lovely uncommon card from the Team Rocket Returns set, 'Rocket's Meowth'. It's a very nice card and it seems to be a little gift to all the Team Rocket fans. Like Meowth in the anime, this card is unevolvable (with the current sets ^_^)

Big O II Complete Collection (w00t!)
Escaflowne Collection Box 1 (in the UK we're getting Escaflowne in 2 separate collections unlike the US complete collection, but ours are still in the normal dvd cases)

I'm jealous, the coverart on that thing is incredible.

Speaking of incredible, I saw The Incredibles last night. They are really coming along with hair and cloth. The movie looked like a bunch of resin figures brought to life with real hair and wearing real cloths. Awesome effect.

Anywho, today in the mail I got 'Pokémon: Totally Togepi!', the episode 'Who Gets to Keep Togepi?' is hilarious. Meowth and the twerps break up into devisions and battle to see who gets to keep Togepi. The scenes where Meowth battles are hilarious, there's just something very funny about Meowth battling. At one point he says 'Oh no! I don't have any Pokémon. . . I forgot! I'm a pokémon!'. It's fabulous, he actually beats Onix.

I also got one of the promo cards theatres gave out for one of the movies (an indescifrable Mew card) and 20 pokémon booster packs (don't ask ). I got a super rare Charizard ex card and the holo version of that 'Rocket's Meowth' card. Yay!

Cover arts good, but the brick it self is sub-par

Today i was in London (for the opening of the Regent Street Apple Store) and while i was walking down Oxford Street i saw a Borders, They had a load of manga!
