Yesterday on a trip to the mall to acquire the Star Wars DVDs, I stopped into Waldenbooks and took advantage of their sale on manga (buy 3, get the 4th free). So for $28.25 I got:

Trigun Maximum 1
Gundam SEED: Astray 1
Evangelion 3
Ranma 1/2 1

Would've gotten Chobits 6, but an unfortunate accident putting a manga back lead to it and a copy of Trigun Maximum sliding behind the shelves...there was another Trigun, but that was the only Chobits 6.

Ah, I stopped by Suncoast today. I was hopping to pick up another volume of the Lupin III manga...but they don't carry it anymore. Frown
But they did have a few figures so I picked up the mini Lupin/Zenigata set. ^_^

This is the only pic I could find on such short notice, not very flattering but you get the idea. I'm pretty happy with the quality, especially considering the size. Zenigata stands at about four inches (4 1/2 if you count the cuffs) while Lupin stands a little over two.

I think they're cute. Tongue

I got my Big-O soundtracks in the mail from CD Japan on Friday! YAY! I've been living off of evan's megamixes since forever, and I'm glad to finally have the legitimate soundtracks in my possession. I've heard season one's music enough, since I own the DVDs (I'm holding out for the season two boxset), so the season two soundtrack has been in my CD player pretty much nonstop since I got it. It certainly is inspiring music! Big Grin

Samurai Executioner

It's soo awesome. It has sex and rape and blood and pedophillia and necrophillia and I'm only half way thru it. It's kind of like a manga, but it's constructed for stupid American's. So, it's not "backwards". But it's published by Dark Horse Manga, which also publishes the Trigun manga's, so you know it's good.

Got the first volume of Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex today (thankfully, the uk release doesnt have any of the problems from the us release)

What a great show! And what a place for the first disc to finish....

Just bought first InuYasha movie-Affections Across Time. Very good! I've seen movies 1, 2, and 3. First movie is probably the best overall. Movie 3 has the best fight scenes, if your into that.

I bought Pokemon Ruby Saturday.

I picked up my Pokemon Silver for the first time in over a year last week. The game's addicting. I wanted a version that made better use of my Gameboy Advance screen (I swear that was the only reason). The freaky new pokemon (and their names) took about two hours to get used to but it's a lot of fun now. They added added all sorts of cool little things to this game; you can travel around the islands in a boat, the berries are a little more involved now (once you take a berry you have to plant a berry for another one to grow back) and you can play a little game with the berries, the pkmn have more personality. One of my favorite additions is the pkmn now have abilities, little quasi move thigns that are always on. For example sound attacks cannot be used againist Whismer.

In a week or two I'm going to buy a red gameboy advance sp. The price went down to 80 bucks ^_^

And I just got Evangelion vol 8 (DVD), was that f***ed up or what? @_@ Really and truely bizarre, it's going to be fun figuring out this series, now that I've seen it.

Umino FINALLY got his Cutey Honey DVD in the mail!

It's the first series from 1973 totally remastered on DVD. It cost me quite alot of money, and it has no subtitles, but hell it's Cutie Honey!

Today, I went to Best Buy only to see that Vol. 3 of Azumanga Daioh has finally been restocked! I went and bought the DVD. I could have bought Vol. 4 as well, but I figured I'd save my money until October 12 to get both Vol. 4 and Vol. 5 along with Last Exile Vol. 5!
