Anyways, I'm highly opposed to the blinking one. And you should be too. Because what is it when you see a row of little blinky things on a forum? That's disrepect. That's forcing your blinkingness on others. It's wrong. Shouldn't be forum software. Maybe signature images, yeah, done tastefully.

We should just use the green ones. Mike prefers the green stars to the blinking stars.

And R.Smith I really do like the green star thing!(Grey is my favorite color though) It looks really cool. Only its a little to light for my tastes.

Well, let's say we do add another colored star. How would the ranks be restructured? Would we simply introduce the new color at the 5,000 mark, or would we restructure the stars so that you start with a gold star (like it was before the 2,500 Legendary Members Rank), therefore having four red stars cap at 1,000 Ultimate Members, and the new stars kick in at the 2,500 Legendary Members mark?

Then, presuming 5,000 is the next step in the progression, it would have two of the new color...

Or perhaps have 2,500 posts have four [new color], and 5,000 five [new color]? Wait, scratch that, since Krang said only special user groups (Forum Legends and Staff) have five stars...

But since, at 5,000 posts, you have the option to join a special user group (which you're declining), wouldn't it be okay to add the fifth star anyway?

By that same logic, I can argue you're forcing goldness, blueness, redness, and silverness on others at the present time...

I actually editted the green star in this color change star. Not as bright. I'll post that and my final version (with purple and blue not next to each other).





This green star has the advantage of having the shading all the other stars have.

Actually, now that I think about it, we should also start thinking of potential names for this 5,000 post rank. I'm running down my list of adjectives, and so far I've come up with these: Divine Member, Supreme Member, Transcendent Member, Quintessencial Member, Preeminant Member...

Yeah, there aren't many good ones left that can surpass Legendary.

Argh, before we even pick a color, we (rather, Krang) should decide how we're going to structure the stars, becuase it might be possible to re-structure the rankings without adding another color...
