There's something about the shiny black star that I simply don't like.. Too bright in the end of the shining perhaps?

personaly i like the curent stars i just thought we would add new stars for new ranks

Since it seems that the interest is pretty much dying down on this topic, I think I'll go ahead and pick a star color. Would anyone object if we went ahead with the green ones for the upper ranks?

Although the shiny black stars seemed to be the most popular, several members complained that anything animated would get annoying after a while. That leaves the green star and the solid black one. The problem with the black one is that on dimmer monitors like mine, it's hard to see it against the darker background, so I think the green one would work out best. The only other option would be if someone could make the light black star () even lighter...

Even lighter? NO PROB! (anything but Green ~~ ick!)

Ok I've done some stars here...just in case one wasn't light enough, I did three Dunno how light you want it Krang, but I sure hope its one of these

And for comparison...I lined em up against the Silver Stars (top) and the light black one in Krang's post above (bottom).

....ok if we are forced to use green, but people don't like it we could use it for the middle ranks and use red for the top ranks.

......or just go with that grey star (2nd from the top on evan's scale)

second from the top as in Shade3? Or 2nd from the black shades which would be Shade2?

As long as we done use green ~~;; I mean it really looks wierd.

Its purpose is to reward people who have stuck with the forums for a long time by giving them a custom title, longer signatures, etc., so no, it will definitely not be scrapped.

Well, green is absolutely horrible (in my opinion) black is a more regal color than that hyper bright or out of the spectrum green.

Flashing black was cool with me, but if the flashing couldnt be done, go with black, a sleek looking, shiny black.

Gryphon Black in other words. And green would be used for the lowest ranks, not the highest ones.

I did like the black very much, but didn't want it to blink, I'm with those who said it would be too distracting on the page.

A short blink that stopped would be okay, though, just no endless loop!

poll on the blinking black ?! Don't make useless polls. Let us save the forum wide polls for the star we will be choosing.

Zola- I dunno if we can make one that doesn't loop. That would require either alot of frames, or a different file type (that I am not aware of). Perhaps if we extended the loop so that we had like 8 more "plain/no flash" frames so that the flash would be delayed for a few seconds insted of instant? (Damn I wish I had my GIF animator)

Anyways, how do you guys like the black shades I provided? Any comments on those?? Please?

Of course you can limit the number of loops. You can give it any number from 1 to infinity. So let it blink... oh, ten times, and then it stops.

hmm...(now why didn't my GIF animator ever give me taht option ~~;; )

Wait, why dont you just delay the blink time, so that say, every 45 seconds it blinks...instead of rapid fire blink...if its possible...Id go for that instead of blink 10 times then stop altogether....

Well, I can take care of making it go just once, or however many times people want it to go. So, yeah, just tell me.
