[Question] ..hmm...maybe another rank?

Well Group A won. (rats.) I still stand by earlier suggestion about useing the green stars for the lowest ranks then yellow and red the higher the post count.
FYI: The forum veterans requirements are 1250 posts and 4 months of being a member, in addition to the previous requirements.

Alright, well it seems that the Big O themed one has won (*grumble*), and now we need to decide on the new star...
personally, I don't like the green star...I do however think a black star (

) or even a shiny black one (

) would be good. Also, I like the color change one as well (

).
I like the shiny black one and the multi color ones the best. But between the two I'd go with the Shinny black one (

)

black is good, anything flashing could get annoying
though green stars are cool.....

The shiny black, standard black and green are great.
Standard can be cut out immediately.
Shiny is good...
But green is better.

Yay! I like the new ranks!
Although I do like the flashy stars, Either that or the black ones. The black ones look cool.

Go with green, yellow, red, and then shiny black when you hit a certain post level, of course gray for the special group or whatever...

OOoh, here's a good idea.
Yellow (Union Agent - Truth Seeker)
Red (Military Police Officer - Top Negotiator)
Shiny Black (Beloved Tomato - Director)
Special User Group: Green

Shiny black when? We would have all the spots covered without them.
Edit: Flashing will indeed get annoying after a short time.

So maybe, for this proposed system:
"OOoh, here's a good idea.
Yellow (Union Agent - Truth Seeker)
Red (Military Police Officer - Top Negotiator)
Shiny Black (Beloved Tomato - Director)
Special User Group: Green"
We'd go Standard Black?
(Note: Special User Group = Forum Veterans)

seraphim, we're only deciding on the NEW star. Singular, not plural. The system has already been figured out and we don't need to go change it all again.
Let's concentrate on finding 1 star for the last portion of the ranks, not new stars for everything. (besides I think Forum Veterens are happy with their nice Silver stars. Silver is better than oxidized copper anyday.)

also may i just point out that people might want to rethink their opinions on the shiny and color change stars. In a thread like this you're focused on just that star (or stars), and after a while it may get annoying or boring but think about this...when you read a thread you usually read the posts right? You don't concentrate on reading the stars. You may look at the stars from time to time but you're mostly concentrating on the posts (as it should be!

). Now then, in those few seconds when you look at the stars (for now let's say the shiny black one), do you think that they'd look cool during those 5 seconds or not? Because honestly I'm not going to stare at a star for 5 bloody minutes, and we shouldn't base our decisions on just what looks nice after staring at it for minutes when in reality it would only be looked at for a few seconds.

new star: shiny black star
however, shiny black star, since it feels almost elite and regal, since it well...is shiny, new and perhaps flashes...should be used on the upper spectrum of post levels.

The green is very distinctive, though.

But it isn't the color Roger Smith wears

When Roger wears green, then it's cool looking

Those are the exact reasons I don't like the flashing ones, you might be able to tune them out, but they will get obnoxious.
I think solid black, just like roger's suit it the best.
Unless we can find that dark blue color used for big o's exterior, that would be cool.
and we'll use green as a back up color.

Well, black works too.
Look, I'm going to flip a coin. Heads is green, tails is black.
Negotiation Result: Tails (Black)
