I think that Dominus of Megadeus should be BEFORE Director, because that's what the power scale should be. Mind you the Director controls everything. But for the sake of Argument, let me change it to Dominus THEN Director.

there is no Negotiator rank in my version. Only "Top Negotiator" as in Roger Smith. I mean it gives it the most Big O feel because Roger is called most of the time "Paradigm City's TOP Negotiator" or "Mr. Negotiator" (the latter of the two wouldn't be right if a female got to that rank O_o;;;; ).

Im digging these new rank ideas everyone Especially the flashing stars.

Although I do think Precious Tomato sounds sort of hokey, I shouldnt really say anything because I cant do any better myself.

Personally, I can't see how Paradigm Lapdog can be so high on these rankings; I'm also not so sure about having "Denizen of Paradigm" if we have "Outside the Domes" (personally, not a big fan of that name) and "Dome Dweller"--sounds really redundant.

While I really liked the old title scheme better, I suppose this is fine by me; even if it does take the current scale (without the changes I mentioned above).

Oh, if we do have this system, I think Krang and Shredder should decide what the staff ranks should be. While I wouldn't have a problem with Paradigm Corp. Inspector as the default moderator title (as I can change it ), I'm not a big fan of any of the other suggestions.

In regards to Aunt Pygmalion's suggestion, I certainly like Cherished Tomato over Precious Tomato, presuming we go with those ranks...

Hey I was just throwing stuff out there Ya know...cos like maybe the mod/admin groups should have the same theme to em ...but whatever.

I'm just doing this to show my spin. I don't really support the Big O style ranks though because names could go nearly every/anywhere (with the exception of Director). I say the old rank names are fine and we should worry about what to call the two new ranks insted.

Like I've said millions of times before, I agree that the old scale was better. I wouldn't mind if we go through with a Big O themed scale; I wouldn't oppose it or anything of the sort, but that still doesn't change my opinion.

Apparently, everyone likes the Big O themed scale better, so whatever. I made my suggestions for the new ranks, and all I heard was positive feedback (granted, there wasn't much feedback, but I think that's just further proof that the forum prefers the Big O scale). Whatever direction is chosen from here, I'll probably end up supporting, if only so we can get this resolved sooner rather than later.

I agree, it would also be far less of a hassle to arrange more conventional rnaks than custom paradigm rankings.

What about Dome Denizens and Illegal Residents? That covers both the domes and outside the domes...

But let's have a novel idea and ask Krang what HE think should be the ranks. Because right now we could debate on forever and accomplish nothing and be stuck being 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8...

If we've narrowed down the selection to two ranking systems (evan's proposed Paradigm Scale, or my proposed update to the former scale), why not post the two of them side by side and just open a no-reply poll thread?

Krang had said he wants a scale everyone will be happy with. While this looks impossible (as there will always be some dissention), at least we'll be able to please a majority of the people. We can keep the poll open for x days, heavily publicize it, and have it be done.

The whole point of letting this thread continue was so that people could come up with a ranking system that most people will be happy with. If I pick one now without hearing more opinions, I'll get blamed if someone is upset with the new ranks, and I'm sick of arguing over something so insignificant.

I'm sorry to disagree with you Krang, however we've basically norrowed it down to two options on the Big O style and one plain old Rank system. Maybe we should have a forum-wide poll of the three styles, just like Fallen Phoenix suggests

No replies, just people voted on the one they would like to see used.

I like the new Big O style but I suppose I can go either way

The idea was to discuss it over a couple of days to see if we could come up with a Big O list. I proposed several posts ago that we use "Dome Denizens and Illegal Residents" but no one said anything. Once we have the list, which I think is just about ready, then we should put it to a vote. I don't think Krang has a problem with that at all.

ANYWHO! The purpose of this post: I second this list. I kinda like having the Big O theme because that's mainly what the forum is for.
