I really love Kenshin!! Its a great anime. I just got all 22 DVDs and ive been watching them. I hope the show doesnt suck at the end like you all have been saying. Ive got my fingers crossed.

that's why i don't like buying or investing in any of those extremely long 100 episode series, cuz if you know you want to get the whole series you know you're gonna be spending all that money and you don't even know if you'll be in it for the long haul...so i don't even bother w/them anymore. And usually, most series like that aren't the best shows anywayz..i mean sure, they're entertaining to watch once in a while, but it gets boring after awhile, that same routine for a 100 episodes, it naturally tends to dip in quality towards the end...and drags on and on and on...even after you're bored of watching it already...no, they gotta keep on going...><

they're showing new episodes of rk now on saturday's as part of their whole saturday action line-up thing called "saturday entertainment system" or something like that... |

Anyway, about the DVDs, I would at least buy them up until the Kyoto Arc anywho. I'm just thinking about it. I just don't feel like spending the money. I mean, I could always buy the videos at $5 or the DVDs at $25... yet I want all my anime on DVD though so...guess that'll be a wait...have to buy some others at the top of the list first.
Normans, I hate to tell you, but I've heard they made movie to revist that period of the series and improve it slightly. So...I too have heard its not all that good...

It sucks, they had no Kenshin today or any of the other shows because of some stupid "kids next door" thing.

I recommend the Manga a lot. The Revenge Arc is great reading. Enishi is bad***. Yup.

Grr...I'll have to check the tape, but if it wasn't on this saturday then I taped nothing and if the storm knocked my dish out for most of it...then that might have been a good thing.
Anyone else wish to confirm if it wasn't on?

Well, I hate to say this, but no Kenshin for me this week looks like it might have been a good thing... See it was storming and the dish was blipping and then it probably went out by Kenshin's time. Well, then, that was good, I at least won't miss an episode.
I hear the manga is good. I plan to buy it when it comes out. We've probably been through this, but is there a date yet as to when the manga comes out?

yeah this is an old thread but being a huge Kenshin fan, I gotta comment on it. I first saw kenshin when it was released on DVD back in 98' or 99' and was glad to hear that it was going to be released on CN even though it would be edited. Some would say that editing doesn't hurt the show but in the case of Kenshin it ruined any enjoyment. Sure it got kenshin some new fan's but the edit's where just plain sloppy and sometimes borderline insane. Let's take for example episode 60 "The man who is chosen for victory." they didn't just destory that episode they Annihilated it. 73 edits to perhaps the best episode in the series and one of the most important it's shameful what they did too

and they didn't even bother to air the Christian arc it's filler but they didn't even bother with it because sadly kenshin bombed on CN, and now with AS's standards much more lenient Kenshin could have gotten away uncut I'd say. Good thing for the DVD's.
