Yeah that's true. It has something to do with the anime catching up to the manga and them running out of stories so they came up with horrible filler episodes. At least, that's what I've read. I haven't actually seen these episodes.

Also, I'm sad to report that Kenshin on the SVES is as heavily edited as it was on Toonami. Who else thinks that this show belongs on Adult Swim?

I DO!! I would like to see it unedited, and sometime soon I plan to buy the DVDs. Is it much better unedited? (Just curious. (I can hear a resounding "YES!" LOL)) Just what ARE they taking out? (besides blood and swearing, if there is any)

You'd think they would have edited out the word "Sake" from the show...that is like an alcoholic drink and people can get drunk off of it...bad message to the little ones. Tongue

Yesterday i got the final episodes of Ruroni Kenshin and it was really odd. The final episode has clips from real life Japan and it goes back and forth between real life and the cartoon. IN the end it's really a sweet end and it was a good way to end the story. Plus i saw a Runroni Kenshin movie in FYE the other day and the back said;

spoiler (highlight to read):
That Kenshin married Kaoru and he went off to fight in something and Kaoru's waiting for him. The back cover is actuall pretty freaky cause you see a pic. of Kaoru looking shocked with a tramatized look on her face.

Anyone else heard of it? Oh and the DVD's are unedited. They keep swearing in it. It was so awsomeSmile ) I would have to say the unedited is a LOT better than the edited and makes so much more sense.

You should make your posts more worthwhile and state why you feel the way you do about your words, Lupin 3. That way, not only do you yourself feel like you've accomplished more, but we all won't think that you're just trying to get a high post count as well (not that you might be trying to or anything).
Patsai 08-07-2003 06:49 PM
That's why Manji makes his post worthwhile...Congratulations again on your 1,000th post, Manji!!! Big Grin

Big Grin Thanks Big Grin It would be stupid like the AS boards if people did have something to contribute to the conversation Big Grin

Just wondering about pink ...ya know? Ever see that episode of DBZ where they introduced Trunkz, and Vegeta was wearing pink ? I may be new to Kenshin, but I wonder why a samurai of his staus would be wearing pink. It's not bad or anything, just on abservation.
Manji 08-07-2003 07:26 PM
Kenshin wears pink, hes symbolizing peace, he doesn't want to attract violence.
Shaoblane 08-08-2003 12:30 PM
Ahhhh. I see. Now that I think about it, it makes sense...

But Vegeta? I was laughing my head off just thinking about it.

PINK
Manji 08-08-2003 12:31 PM
I think he got forced into it Big Grin
Nturtle 08-08-2003 04:46 PM
lol, Vegeta in pink was quite possibly the scariest site I've ever seen...

Looks like Kenshin is gone from CN? (for now I hope). It isn't coming on saturdays, sundays or weekdays, does anybody know what might be up?
pen1300 08-08-2003 06:05 PM
Its still on as far as I know. I taped it last Saturday and the Saturday before that. I saw an advertisement this week saying it would be on Sat. at 9:30 PM so as far as I know they haven't taken it off.

...I need to buy the DVDs Crying ...I hate this once a week thing. I feel like I'm loosing interest! Crying Crying

good luck...that's a WHOLE lot of dvd's you need to buy if you want all of rk and a LOt of money too! XD
cuz there's like a little less than a hundred episodes or something like that...and 4 episodes to a disc...x.x
that's why i don't like buying or investing in any of those extremely long 100 episode series, cuz if you know you want to get the whole series you know you're gonna be spending all that money and you don't even know if you'll be in it for the long haul...so i don't even bother w/them anymore. And usually, most series like that aren't the best shows anywayz..i mean sure, they're entertaining to watch once in a while, but it gets boring after awhile, that same routine for a 100 episodes, it naturally tends to dip in quality towards the end...and drags on and on and on...even after you're bored of watching it already...no, they gotta keep on going...><
kind of a headache...x.x

they're showing new episodes of rk now on saturday's as part of their whole saturday action line-up thing called "saturday entertainment system" or something like that...

No, Monoke has better scenes, while Kenshin still uses the old Talk during the battle, and still uses the sliding anime cell trick, it works the same way as just about every other anime, its much easier to use the sliding cell effect, and it looks good, but the really high quaility Animes, not that I'm saying kensin isn't good, use a harder better looking effect, in which they draw out every cell.

I agree with Manji.

Personally, I think Kenshin's voice is excellent. The lines are well delivered, and the actor's reading simply makes the way he says "...that it is." very serious.
Manji 08-09-2003 11:49 AM
Yea, the voice acter delivers his lines well, I must admit, saying "...That it is." after almost everyline would be very annoying, and I don't think I would do it, they've been getting better at english language in Anime, some of the high class animes even redraw out the lipsinking... its a really cool effect when every word matches the character saying it. But we've come a long way from speed racer Ha-Ha.
Patsai 08-09-2003 06:08 PM
Which still reminds me of Speed Racer. God, that was funny for the English's first attempt at translating lip anime. Yes, I've seen the Japanese version of Speed Racer, and they don't use "ha-ha!" in every line like the English dubbed one does.

"You can't win this race, ha-ha!"

"Yes, I must win this race, father, ha-ha!"

"Yes, but I'm not really your father, ha-ha!"

"Aaaa!"
