I'm very exicited about this film. Now more than ever after I read the reviews. There are people hailing it as the best Batman film so far. Christian Bale was diffenately an excellent choice to play Batman. From what I've read he seems to understand that Bruce Wayne is the character and Batman is the reality.

I refuse to read the reviews just yet. (I tend to go to movies by what people say or what my gut says from the preview than what critics say).

Nonetheless, my boyfriend and I are REALLY looking forward to this movie. I hope Bale can pull off both Bruce Wayne and Batman. That was the flaw I found in the other movies. The actors could pull off one or the other, not really both.

If anything, visually it's going to be a GREAT movie.

I'm seeing it with a coworker/friend tomorrow morning @ 11:40. It better kick ass, since I'm treating her to the movie.

And since Memento was amazing, I expect nothing less.

*squee* Big Grin Big Grin I'm so jealous! I can't wait to see Batman Begins. In fact I even brought Batman Returns on DVD to prepare myself ( even though Batman Begins is supposed to be dramatically different). Tommorow I'm heading to the local Walmart to pick up the BTAS compilations ( although knowing my local Walmart they probably won'tFrown ) but I'm seriously going batty (pun intended).

I heard there are going to be three more movies. The Joker is a diffenate for the second film.

i'm probably gonna go see the movie. looks interesting, although this batman is too cool, i mean too suave, needs more geekdom added for that classic "Bruce Wayne and Batman" contrast.

Wow those are pretty cool trailers so this is like the story of how he becomes The BatMan? Thats cool and I like how he made his costume also. Smile

You can listen to the whole soundtrack off of this AOL crap. Just scroll and look under more full length CD's.

Soundtrack by James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer

I just came from it.

Dude! BATMAN! FREAKING NINJAS! LIAM NEESON AND MORGAN FREEMAN!

HELL FREAKING YES!

Bale was the best Batman so far. Cillian Murphy, though his part wasn't as big as I hoped, was amazing as the Scarecrow, and pretty much everything else kicked ass.

Best Batman yet (and I LOVE the Burton films).

I had no idea that Micheal Caine was Alfred the Butler! Shocked

I was watching the SCI FI channel last night and they had a preview of it. I knew Morgan Freemen was in it but not Micheal Caine! Now I'm going to see it! Anime Smile

He actually had quite a few lines in the movie. Which was cool, though there was one scene that wasn't really needed...involving exiting and a car...

I usually don't like superheros that much. However, I like Batman because the fact that he doesn't have any superpowers makes him much more believable. The only superpowers I can tolerate are telekenesis and anything involving a cybernetic implant, I find anything other than that rather irritating. I haven't watched any Batman movies in a long time so I might want to see this.

If anyone saw this, Is the scarecrow the main baddie/

No, but Cillian Murphy is AMAZING (especially near the last 1/4 of the movie).

I saw Batman Begins late last night it was awesome!!!!. It takes from the comic books such as Batman: Year One, Legends of the Dark Knight etc... It has an well done intricate plot/story development explaing more in detail than any other Batman movie out to date. such as Bruce's trainning with [Insert main villian] I'm not giving anything away. A+ and Five Batarangs

spoiler (highlight to read):
Main villian is Rhas as gul

I agree. That's why Batman will always be my favorite hero. Whereas Superman was naturally gifted with abilities ( he's also an alien, technically) Batman had to train himself and actually work for it. I like the fact that Batman can be killed and injured...it's part of his humanity. I also enjoy that Batman relies on his stealth and intellence rather than just brute strengh (although the toys do help...).

I haven't seen the film yet but I've heard it's actually quite scary in certain parts. I don't think it's horror film scary but apparently it gives you quite a jolt. If so...AWESOME! Is there any truth to this?

I'm going to be the first one to say that it wasn't awesome. It was ok, but not great. Scarecrow stunk (Ugh... super feminine), cheesy lines, boring soundtrack. It just took itself too seriously. At least the last 2 movies were interesting and funny.

I love Batman, and keep buying the comics (Even though war Games and Hush were kinda sucky), but I'm not going to pretend this was my favorite movie of the series. Its probably my least favorite. Too bad. I hope other people like it at least so that Batman gets some respect back.

YES!!!!

I LOVED IT! OMG!!!ELEVENTY!!111!

Ok, it was perfect. I loved the ending! The last scene just pushed it to my favorite.

Liked Michael Keaton's costume a little bit better, but I liked parts of the new one.

And of course, Burton's Batmobile beats any and all contendors.

Very, very good movie to me. I know I am going to see it in I-Max as soon as possible.

Now to re-read Batman: Year One...
