Yeah. I do want to see the part of how he left Gotham for 12 (or is it 18?) years to train. I would like to see more, though, how he came to be known in Gotham and how he became partners with Jim Gordon.
| spoiler (highlight to read): |
| And for those who read "Year One", I hope they have that scene where he uses the sound transmitter to summon the bats so he can escape the corrupt swat team |
Spoilerized for those who want to know nothing of how the movie might go, though even then it's not a real spoiler...

The movie does have ninja stuff, but the majority takes place in gotham and involves gordon too.
In fact the movie is influenced by Year One and ... um the long halloween I think. I don't read comics.
Oh and about your spoiler, I think that might actually be in the movie.

This movie is definatly not influenced by the long halloween. Thats about Two-face and the mafia, and is done in film noir style.
Anyway, the trailer looks sucky to me. It doesn't feel like Batman at all. I can't judge it too much from a short trailer, but it wasn't dark. Everything was gold. Also, it might just be the first few minutes, but I sure hope the movie isn't mostly about Bruce Wayne training. It might sound interesting, but having read Batman comics that are purely about Bruce Wayne, I can tell you it sucks. Trust me when I say you want to watch him as a master detective, martial artist, scientist, crime fighting buisness man... not as a student. I hope the story moves out of the training phase quickly and moves onto Batman and Gotham.
Also, I want to see Scarecrow in costume... I hope he has a costume... his costume is what makes him cool...

I didn't like the yellow either, but they still need to do the bleach bypass dealie.
Supposedly we've got another trailer coming, and that each one shows a little more into the movie. It isn't all training and such, they're just trying to show people it isn't the last 2 crap;py movies.
the scarecrow supposedly has some sort of sack like gasmask thingy going on, and he is supposed to look all wierd and scarecrow like once someone starts freaking out on the fear gas.
I guess bottom line is, even if it sucks ass it will still be better than the last 2.

Either of those would be fine with me. It would be impossible for them to get Scarecrow perfectly represented though since so many artists draw him differently. My favorite is the one with the 2nd mask Almasy posted but with a big cartoony mouth... that would be impossible for a live action movie though

The first one is a concept and the second is someones drawing of what the scarecrow is supposed to look like from one person's POV when they're freaking out on fear gas.
He uses a sticked up gasmask thingy in real life:

Then that other one Almasy found, the hallucination scarecrow:

I also heard he looks different when seen from different peoples POVs

I liked that one. The open mouth and black, lifeless eyes make it seem scary and cool.
The scarecrow is one of my top favorite villains. First being Joker, than Two-Face and Mr. Freeze are tied for second, then the scarecrow

To my understanding, there is also another Batman animated series that shows his origins called "The Batman" and it's supposed to come out either early this year or be out already on the WB. I wouldn't know, being that I don't watch tv that often anymore.

Yeah, it's not that great. And the costume's are bad. (Mr. Freeze looked a lot better than how he is portrayed in this show).
Plus the guns are not even guns, they are like... Brown twig-like laser gun-like things...

I have to go with the others and say its way crappier than the original animated series which was used to be awesome.

Its definatly not as good as the old show (What could be), but its not as bad as people make it out to be. Some characters like Mr. Freeze and Bane were done really crappily, but its really not so terrible.
There's also a few laughs in it like when Mr. Freeze killed the millionaire from Gilligan's Island. Then later he took revenge on a hobo

. Also, everything the black cop says is so stereotypical that its hillarious.

Oh dear, I think I've been under a rock. When I go back to the land of cable, I will have to watch this, even if you guys say it's crappy. Ranting would be fun.
Details: What day and time is it on? Channel is WB? I really don't seem to watch as much TV as I used to. I actually SCHEDULE time to see TV shows now...
I can't wait for this movie though!! I'm a Batman fan! (I said that before

) The poster: now that was random...
Later,
