Here are better quality/larger scans (from the same person, just got new scanner) of that two piece set I posted back here.

From Shimon (answering my question about the Fenrir pictured)
quote:
Yeah, the Fenrir is from the Mechanical Arts line, like Kadaj's bike. They're in alot smaller scale than the Play Arts figures. You can also see that it has a different suspension in the front than the AP bike.

From BloodTalon

I bring you people news from crowinghorse. He posted this on the Spawn boards. He said:
these ARE NOT sold in a set - you'll be able to buy one or the other or both, though there is talk of selling them at a slightly lower cost if sold together...I think price was $250.oo each or both for $400.oo...not 100% sure...

Here's a fan from AC.net who went to the special screening's review of the NA VA's preformances.

spoiler (highlight to read):
Wow, today was just amazing. I actually got to meet Tetsuya Nomura in person. WOW, JUST WOW.

Now onto the voice acting:

I was so surprised as how Mena Suvari did SUCH a wonderful job as Aerith. Her voice was so beautiful, it totally overpowered her voice in KH2. every line was said with such lightness/softness that it almost matched Maaya Sakamoto's tone. seriously, the softness of her tone was completely absent in KH2, but comes back full force in Advent Children.

Cloud’s voice was just wonderful. Steve Burton IS CLOUD. Seriously, his voice was so good that I was almost mistaking it from Takahiro Sakurai [well not really, but it was just that good. His closer line was beautifully done…it was just awesome.

Tifa's voice was AWESOME. at first i thought she kind of sounded weird cuz i was really used to Ayumi Ito, but then she got in character. the parts where she was fighting with Loz sounded exactly like Ito. her tone matched perfectly with her japanese counterpart. there were only a few instances where she sounded just a bit off, but other than that it was good.

Reno’s voice was by far my favorite voice. It was so full of character and humor and the one matched Keji Fujiwara’s perfectly. His voice was so animated; personally, I thought that he had the best voice in the entire movie. This one line especially stood out. Loz was telling Reno how he shouldn’t “talk bad about mother” and then rude answered by saying “sorry…” and then Reno was like “Yeah. Sorry, your mom is cool. WAIT WHAT THE HELL AM I SAYING??? RAWR!” it was awesome.

Kadaj’s voice was sooooooooo goooood. Steven Staley really captured the slight insanity of Kadaj’s tone so well. I was seriously impressed by the perfect voice match.

Loz’s voice was also really well done. Especially the part where he said “I’m NOT CRYIGN!” it was really awesome.

Barret had a hilarious voice. There was one line where he went “Yo Cloud, whattup foo?” when Cloud was driving to the Healing Lodge. It was really funny, but I guess it fits Barret’s character lol.

Vincent’s voice was so deep, rough, and sexy. I really love Steven Blum and put all my faith into him doing justice for Vincent…and he DID! It was so…I dunno…word cannot describe how wonderful it was.

Christy Carlson Romano…IS YUFFIE. Seriously, even Mae Whitman [kh2 yuffie’s voice actor] cannot compare to the genius of Romano’s voice. My god, I loved Yuffie’s voice in KH1 and I’m still lovin’ it in Advent Children.

Rufus had such a smooth and sexy voice. Wally wingert really did a wonderful job matching his tone to Toru Ohkawa. I loved it.

Yazoo’s voice was…weird. It seemed like his VA tried to intentionally make him sound very gay…or something strange like that.

Cait Sith had a Scottish accent. Uh..no comment.

Red XIII had a British accent…yes.

Cid’s voice, even though he received a LOT of negative comments from kh2, was really really really good in Advent Children. His southern vulgar accent really fit his personality; Christ Edgerly did Cid IMMENSE justice.

SEPHIROTH’S VOICE WAS DRIPPING WITH SEX. I was so surprised that George Newbern could sound so sinister/deadly/hot with his voice [considering he was the voice of uh...Superman. yeah]. When he said “Good to see you again, Cloud”, I nearly died. His voice was just THAT good.

Marlene had the cutest voice ever. It was even cuter than the Japanese va’s voice. Seriously, it was incredibly adorable.

Denzel was…just…AWESOME. He actually said [after tifa got knocked out from the Bahamut Sin thing] “YOU SON OF A BITCH! RAWRRR!”

Wow, I would write a LOT more, but I’m callin’ it quits. Feel free to ask any kind of question and I’ll be happy to answer asap.

Overall, today was the best day of my life [thus far.]

Apparently prizes were given out as well, another fan's write up:

i'm back, and the movie ...

(i'll explain that right now give me a sec) which he shouldn't have because that was really messed up what he was going to do to me. on top of that .. he was like "your lucky dude that i gave you back that star" and i was thinking in my head "damn that was messed up that somebody would actully do that to me, ugh it burned me up inside sooo much...

but after that i got to meet the staff and the actors it was pretty awesome. i just can't beleve someone did that, so messed up..

well thats it hope i didn't leave anything out .. oh yeah and the movie sold out

Steve Blum as Vincent?

Bad effing ass.
R.Smith 04-04-2006 04:50 PM
Argh, the pain..... Dead

Apparently the line in Japanese "Zuru Zuru Zuru" which is said by Tifa, and more or less translates in to drifting/draggin was changed to ""Dilly Dally, Shilly Shally. Dilly Dally, Shilly Shally.". Sweatdrop

That totally misses the whole meaning of that line, which I won't go into further detail since it might give some stuff away.

Yes, go ahead and call me a "japanophile" or whatever, but ugh, I wish I knew what the hell they were thinking when they did that. Confused

No, one line won't ruin the whole movie, but I thought I should make mention of it.

Here's a review from siliconera.com.

Also a further piece of information, he managed to grab a peek at a media trailer for Before Crisis, which was in English and listed a release date as 2006. Hopefully more on this will be revealed in the near future.

I still wish they'd do a screening in NYC..... Frown

Good news about BC, as I read not too long ago that until North America and Europe's mobile carriers terminals and programs are further developed we wouldn't be getting BC for a long time.

OUch, just a tad pricey.

http://www.toylet.net/ffac-cloudseph-statueset.html

I'm hoping that it's subject to have the price lowered!
R.Smith 04-14-2006 04:16 AM
Go to www.finalfantasyvii4psp.com, the second clip has english VA's (Cloud, Kadaj, Loz, Marlene).

Just me or does the music and SFX sound sorta muted compared with the Japanese version(for those who've seen it)? I notice that happens sometimes when they dub things.

Btw, QT gave me an error so I used VLC Player.

The file is 13mb, but it goes slow when downloading. I'd host it on rapidshare or something, but I'm going to bed now.
NVWC2006 04-14-2006 09:53 PM
once this movie is out in america, i'm sure my friends and i will have a party to watch it in english. one thing that irritated me in the Japanese was how when many of the names were pronounced, there was an 'o' at the end... i assume that's just how to say the names in japanese, but it bothered me.

steven blume VAing Vincent.. how perfect...i'm assuming this will sound like a cross between Makoto Shishio and Mugen, only, not so evil.

and i really want to hear Sephiroth, he is the sweetest and most awesome character and i'm dying to hear his voice

...

(i'm straight, mind you..)

...Should I mention that both mean to drag out the time it takes for an action by deviating aka drifting away from its execution?

I.E., if something was being delayed, then, well... They made the correct move.

EDIT: I just checked. They mean the same thing according to what I've read on the scene. So yeah. You're complaining over nothing.
