1. City of God
2. Almost Famous
3. Pulp Fiction
4. I <3 Huckabees
5. The Glass Menagerie (starring John Malkovich)
6. Death of a Salesman (starring John Malkovich and Dustin Hoffman)
'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'
Now, I hate to name a new movie, a blockbuster, one that had that much CGI, and that big a budget, or even such a fluff piece of a movie but 'Charlie' was well done fluff. It's twisted, it's well acted, it's a borderline art film, it's creative, and it went places you always desperately want movies to go. Johnny Depp was amazing, every muscle of his body acts in sync with his head. Danny Elfman's music in unreal, so powerful and emotional that even the film's opening credits are hypnotic.
My second favorite film is 'Edward Scissorhands'.
I kid you not, I discovered these movies entirely indepently of one another. Which just goes to show you where my taste in movies lie. Up third is probably '12 Monkeys', a most excellent science fiction movie. And fourth is most definitely 'Moulin Rouge!' ;_;
And currently 'Star Wars Episode III' is in there somewhere. Sure the direction's shoddy and the acting's spotty but it is one hell of a character study for our old boy Vader. Episode III turns Anakin (all of him, Vader included) into one hell of an involved character.
Then 'Nightmare Before Christmas', 'Noises Off','Monty Python's Holy Grail', and 'O Brother Where Art Thou?'.
Here's a quick reference list:
'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'
'Edward Scissorhands'
'12 Monkeys'
'Moulin Rouge!'
'Tim Burton's the Nightmare Before Christmas'
'Noises Off'
'Monty Python's Holy Grail'
'O Brother Where Art Thou?'
And these are in there somewhere:
'Star Wars III'
'Dr. Strangelove'
'What's Up Doc?'
'The Three Amigos'
'The Fifth Element'
'Gattica'
'Ace Venture: When Nature Calls'
'Space Balls'

City of God is one of the best, amazing, and real movies that you will ever see. It's not so beautiful like Snoop Doog and Pharrell played it out to be
But seriously, one of my favorite movies of all time.
Peace.

Tough decision but what can I say. My favorite would have to be Aliens. Who said a female can't kick some serious *beep*. As for the rest it's a long list of movie but Aliens would always be number 1 on my list.

Awhile ago, I wouldn't have been entirely sure. But these days I can state with absolute certainty:
Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back
