I don't know, you could try animenation http://www.animenation.com/ and they could be selling them at Suncoast....But I don't know really. What I'm waiting for is that Kiba thing (so cute Anime Smile ) and the Manga to make it over here.....Let's hope they do...

The seres is getting really good like Silv3rKnigh1 said. I'm curently working on a fan site Called "Wolves in human clothing" Smile ! And that was before I saw the second episode today, I just got the urge to make a fan site! I do that alot Hehe.....

That Kiba plush doll is super cute...in a disturbing way.

Anyway, I saw the second episode and it was interesting to say the least. The series is starting to move forward event wise, but as of now they haven't been too heavy on background information, although the previews have been making the strange comment about humans originating from wolves. Hopefully the series will start making sense as it progresses and we won't have to scratch our heads at strange references nobody knows about. On that note it has been hell trying to find informational resources about it, but I guess this is not surprising since the series is new in the states. Wolf's Rain is very interesting and you can be sure I'm going to be one of it's avid viewers.
Green_Bird 05-02-2004 01:54 PM
Well...I found out where that Kiba thing's going to be (Kind of....don't know if it's the same one or not)

Hopfuly the one in the box is made better then the one that they show in the picture.....But anyway that's of the DVD that will be released in June....

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/det...?v=glance&s=dvd

It has a CD and the Kiba thing as well as the DVD.....Don't know what the CD is, the Soundtrack or Just a single?

Yeah it really is but i don't understand one thing... ok how can some things see past their "human form" like dogs can and that little boy from the first episode could and how did last nites eps. end. i missed the ending Crying
Tifaria 05-02-2004 02:23 PM
Last night's episode ended with:
spoiler (highlight to read):
Darcia getting away with Cheza, the flower maiden, and encountering Kiba and Hige as they were trying to get in.

I'm not sure why the kid was able to see past the wolf forms; I'm guessing the dog can because.. well, he's a dog. He recognizes other creatures similar to him, even if they're hiding in a different form.

I'm really enjoying this show so far. I had seen the first five eps or so when it was still being fansubbed (I usually download five episodes or so to see if the series piques my interest, then wait for the domestic release), but that was almost a year ago and I had forgotten much of what happened.

I'm really enjoying the dub! I was kind of anxious when I heard David Lucas was going to be playing Darcia, but I think he pulled it off. Of course, he could be voicing a plate of goo and I'd still find it attractive. Having him and Crispin Freeman in one show is too much. Big Grin I was kind of surprised at Toboe's voice, because I wasn't sure what to expect, but it kind of grew on me by the end of the episode. He still sounds a little too girly, though. I'm finding it hard to listen to the detective without thinking of Beck, but he's doing better at toning down the.. Beck-ness, for lack of a better word.. in his voice.

Looking forward to where this is going! I've been good about not spoiling this one for myself yet.

LOL, I thought that Toboe was a girl at first, before I realized she was a he by his slightly male sounding voice and name, but his looks are more feminine than masculine. Toboe's hair, eyes, and facial features all scream I'm a female in my opinion...

Although the girl did say good boy earlier in the episode, but I guess that is a generic term to use when dealing with a dog or wolf in this case.

So I'm not alone in thinking that Toboe is far too effeminate? That's good...I think. Really, the bracelets, the hair, the eyes. It looks like they started to design a female character and then just changed their minds and made a male one instead but didn't really change anything except the pronouns.

Two episodes and I'm addicted... ~points up~ I'm going to get that for my birthday... (well actually, it will be after my birthday, since the box is released a few weeks after my brithday, but whatever.)

yea i thought he was a girl too, he even sounded like one. Didnt they do the same thing with Ed from bebop?

But its all good though. I love the character designs

And looks like Steven is back at it again.

And where is Wendee Lee? you know An AS anime is not an AS anime unless she has a role
BabyGhia 05-03-2004 03:28 PM
I think because I didn't see all of Ep. 1 that I feel like I need another episode to watch. And I hate that I can only watch one a week so I feel like I forgot what happened in the last half of the first ep. But it's good but I'm not in love with the series. I taped it this time so I think I'll watch it again before I see the next ep.

I hate this. I don't know who to listen to. Crispin Freeman is doing a voice similar to Amon (Drooling ) and then Steve Blume's voice is different but really good (Drooling ). It's SO horrible I don't know what I'm going to do... my ears are too happy! Big Grin

Accualy there were suposed to be two kids on the Bebop (one male and one female) But they just desided to combine the two into Ed we know. But the original Ed did make an apearence in an episode.....here http://rfblues.aaanime.net/Omake/Notice/ ....

But Yeah...the first time I saw Toboe's picture I thought he was a she too. Well I did that with Buggsy from the G/S pokémon games to....for the longest time I though Buggsy was a girl.....then I found out in the animé that he was a boy, I was kind of shocked because he looked so femine! But still Toboe looks like a girl because the hair and the clothes. It does look like they were going to make him a girl.....Because I mean look, even the expressions!

This is kinda random, but I feel it is relevant to this thread. Anyway, you know how the trailer for the show made allusions about men being born from wolves? Well, while this may not be true one of our most common companions is. Who is this animal who originates from the wolf? It is the dog. Through a process called self-domestication wolves slowly acclimated themselves into a form better suited for human companionship. Some scientists have also said that it's a high possibility that man wouldn't have been so successful without the partnership of the wolf (dog). So next time you take a look at your dog try to see if you can see the wolf within. This might be hard to impossible if you own a Chihuahua......OK, ok, and a lot of other dog breeds.

You mean Wolf's Rain is true?

I'll never look at dogs the same way again Big Grin
