"The Offical Code Lyoko Thread"

Well, despite my previous comments, I've had nothing better to do when Code Lyoko's on. So I've been watching it, and I kinda like it.
It's not as bad as a quick viewing had me think before.
The dub mouthing still could use some improvment, but I guess that's not going to happen.
Guess I'll checkout a site that can fill me in on the show.

I've only been watching this show a few weeks, but I absolutely LOVE it! The Wikipedia entry can fill you in on what you missed.
Jeremie and Aelita are my favourite characters.

I saw it once and found it to be kind of lame. That's just my humble opinion, though.

Thanks for the Wiki link Tetsu!
Since I don't mind the spoilers, I read all the info there was on it, and I think that Code Lyoko really is a fascinating cartoon, and it deserves more praise and less put downs.
I've definitely done a 180° on my opinion of this cartoon.
Looking forward to the new seasons.

Code Lyoko announced for DS
The Game Factory today announced the signing of a worldwide licensing deal with MoonScoop to develop and publish Code Lyoko for Nintendo DS.
The game will be featuring elements from both the RPG and adventure genre and is scheduled for release by fall of 2006.
The deal has been signed through Kidz Entertainment, which has been appointed licensing agent for Scandinavia and Kidz Entertainment will work with MoonScoop, Game Factory and US licensing agent FUNimation to manage development of the game and provide strong marketing support.
The game will be based on the popular 3D animated action-adventure television series about a group of students who uncover a parallel universe called Lyoko inside a super-computer that is threatened by a virus that could destroy the universe. Four ordinary students, Jeremy, Odd, Ulrich and Yumi, must help a virtual humanoid creature named "Aelita" to stop rogue computer XANA's latest attack on their real world...
Nicolas Atlan, VP, Executive Producer of MoonScoop said: "It is has always been our intention to explore gaming opportunities for Code Lyoko as we're confident that it's a property that can be a hit on this platform. We're delighted to be working with The Game Factory on this project."
Axel Dauchez, CEO of MoonScoop added: " We look forward to sign further licensees over the coming months through Kidz Entertainment, our partner in the region, and believe we have a great team in place for extending the Code Lyoko brand throughout 2006."
The television series has been rated one of the best shows of all Cartoon Network series. In France Code Lyoko is a key show on France 3 and it has been voted the best show by kids on Canal J. Additionally more the successful show has been acquired by several major television stations across Europe including Cartoon Network's channel Toonami in the UK and Cartoon Network Spain, Jetix Latin America, TVN in Chile, Canada's YTV and Radio Canada, the Disney Channel Italy, NRK in Norway, Morocco's 2M, Noga in Israel and distributor CFI in Africa as well as a number of deals signed with distributors across India and the Middle East.
Intensive TV broadcasting in 2005 and 2006 is being supported by a broad range of licensing products within toys, apparel, stationary, school bags. FUNimation® Entertainment is exclusive licensing agent in the US targeting partners in all major categories and Marvel Toys holds the worldwide master toy license.
Kidz Entertainment is in discussions with a number of other potential licensees in the Scandinavian region. Director Morten Geschwendtner said: "We think this is a very hot boy's property. There are lots of episodes of the television show and that will provide us with the support we need to establish Code Lyoko as a long-term boys' brand." |
I came across this while Googling Lyoko, and thought those here who like the show might be interested in it.

It isn't an anime. It's a cartoon. Anime is a generic term for japanese cartoons. And I don't hate the french. I hate the Spanish.

Actually, anime is the French word for cartoons. It's stupid that we use it for Japanese animation

So I'm gonna bring this back.
The short(13 eps) third season has one more episode to go.
Then it's a long wait until the long(30 eps) 4th season.
Anyone been watching it?

WHERE THE HELL WAS I WHEN THIS WAS MADE?
I actually like Code Lyoko. It's different, quirky, and Aelita is one of the most interesting characters I've seen in a while.
And for the record, his name is X.A.N.A., and I really wish he'd get his own body or face or voice. We hear about him enough, give him a face and voice already!
I haven't been able to keep up with the recent episodes lately because of school work, which is teh suck becuase I want to see the new episodes... *3*
And anime is anime regardless of where it came from, and why they didn't stick with the
Garage Kids idea is beyond me. That looked pretty cool.

Eh, that'd be like showing the audience Dr. Claw's face. Probably a bad idea.
...and that's incredibly ironic considering I enjoyed the first Inspector Gadget movie. Oh well. Also for the record, his name is not, in fact, set in stone as far as I'm aware, and XANA looks better in text anyway. Toe-may-to, toe-mah-to, that sort of thing, perhaps?
Been trying to catch Lyoko, but failing. Jeremie's voice alteration is interesting. Disturbing, since the old voice was what people got accustomed to, but good, because it definitely fits a kid better.

Today, William, the kid that liked Yumie became a Lyoko Warrior but was taken over by X.A.N.A. He looked so cool. Big sword.
He destroyed the core of Lyoko and I think William became X.A.N.A. Form how it ended.
Jeremy found France Hopper but wasn't able to matrialize him but Jeremy was sent a massage by him over the Internet but they didn't say what was on it.
This shows getting good!! I wanna see more!!

OH, man! I caught that! He looked so cool. To bad he didn't last long enough. Didn't his clothes turn like red and black? He's got the X.A.N.A eye on his forehead too. Man...I thought he would fit with Charka...but a giant sword works too. I wonder if they'll go into the internet. Need new episodes...

WHAT DOES HE LOOK LIKE!?!?! is he cool looking?

I do realize that, and no, he's not cool-looking at all.
Anyway, toys are hardly a reliable source anyway. I don't seem to recall Batman ever really using half the equipment all the action figures have shown him with over the years, for example.
