No problem, Dude. I have decided that the only way I was to move forward in my writing ventures is to post these semi-edited stories. Now, I don't have to worry about revising them. Now, I can dedicate whatever creative time I have to my newest stories. I will have my latest story posted by May. Then, I think I will take an extended hiatus, considering that I should be looking at other forms of art to explore. Smile

Thank you all for reading these (entire, or in part) stories. They are my first borns. Smile

Finally read "A Stroll with Dorothy in the narrative form." You were right, Tony. Much easier to read than the original script form. The ending in here makes a little bit more sense than the version you sent me. Can't wait to read the next one. But that will have to wait til later. Sleep now!

BabyGhia

PS. I noticed a few little errors (nothing I couldn't figure out) but I wasn't sure if they were fixed in here when you posted it. Nothing to bash you on the head for.
PPS. I'm joking but yes, take the extend hiatus! Maybe I'll finally catch up with all the reading I need to do. Still need to read ACT's season three.

Just finished reading it all and I have to say I love it great work Dude.
Tony Waynewrong 04-22-2004 05:45 PM
Hey, thanks. I wrote these when I started writing fiction for the first time. In fact, "The Afterlife" was the first. So, you can tell this by it's rough edges and it's out of character dialog.

Thanks for your comments Big Grin

Hey, don't sell yourself short dude they were good.
Mr.Smith 04-26-2004 08:01 PM
Hey Tony, You Rock. I've finally had the time to read through these and they're really good.
Zola 05-01-2004 11:01 AM
Tony, I loved the concept of "afterlife" and I still want to see you give it the revision it deserves Smile

Hi All, this one is really a throw-away. But, since I don't plan on writing any new material soon (too much work), I have decided to share this one with you. This content isn't a mockery of religion; it is an ode to Alex's dementia.

~8~

Alex was shabbily dressed in traditional Middle Eastern attire, when he returned from the Hudson River. For forty days and forty nights he was tempted, having ate or drank nothing. He contemplated his position as the son of god, and how the weight of all man’s salvation rested on his shoulders. He felt confident that he would be able to rule his inheritance, the kingdom of Paradigm.

He entered the city and found all its inhabitance in the streets, bowing before him. As he walked, he heard their pleas for relief from evil doers, foreigners and negotiators. He felt it was time to face the archenemy, the beast that went by many names: the false Dominus, the Devil, the Deceiver and the Negotiator.

The Devil, dressed in his black suite, along with his female demonic android, suddenly materialized right before his eyes. Alex was frightened at first, but realized that they were not as strong as him.

“If you are the Son of God,” the Devil scoffed, as he held a rock in his hand. “Tell this stone to become a tomato.”

Alex stared at the vile negotiator and his android. After a few moments, he answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on Tomatoes alone.’” Alex noticed laughed, so he walked on.

With a gesture, the devil, his android and the son of god suddenly appeared on the shoulders of Big O. The false prophet and android circled the holy man. “I will give you its authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to,” the Negotiator boasted. “So, if you worship me, it will be yours.”

Alex looked at them as his expression became solemn as he pointed at the Negotiator. “It is written: “Worship Gordon, your God and serve only him and me.” Once again, the demonic android laughed at him, but he paid no heed.

The devil and his demon led him to the roof of Smith Mansion. “If you are the Son of God,” the android said sarcastically. “Throw yourself down from here. For it is written: ‘He will command Alan, Beck and Angel to guard you carefully; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against the street.”

“Do not put the Lord of Paradigm to the test,” Alex shouted. “It is you who shall bow to me. I am the Dominus, the divine implementer of the new order. You are a defective tomato, and your android is a tool of deception. I shall cast you both out of the garden of Paradigm and into the flames of Big Fau.”

The negotiator and his android bowed before him, as Big Fau emerged from the ground, with its white arms raised to the heavens. Sensing impending doom, Devil and his android entered the mansion, where Big O was stored. Upon entering the Megadeus, the devil and his mistress attempted to power it up, but were unable to do so, for Big Fau burst through the concrete walls and into the hanger.

The people of Paradigm chanted Alex’s name repeatedly, as Big Fau engaged in battle. One punch after another, the white Megadeus inflicted more and more damage to the unholy black Megadeus. It was then, when Big O hit the floor that Alex proclaimed, “By the powers vested in me, the son of God, I send you down to the darkest recesses of hell. Roger, you forfeit your life to the new order.”

Alex awoke from his dream, drenched in sweat. He looked around frantically. Unable to find the devilish negotiator or his evil robotic minion, he reached for the intercom, by the side of his bed and said, “Alan, prepare your instrument of God. The devil and his demon are to be eradicated by the lord’s messenger. Go now, Archangel Gabriel. You have my blessings.”

I'm sure you meant for this to be a serious story. Unfortunately, it had the opposite affect on me. Don't ask me why... but the line "Tell this stone to become a tomato" made me laugh for no reason. But, seriously, I really like the idea and I like how because of Alex's trek into becoming a god has made Roger the Devil.

Oh! And I laughed again at "It is written: ‘Man does not live on Tomatoes alone.’"

No, it was meant to be a comedy. Alex is a joke, of very poor taste. But, I still hoped it was entertaining. Smile
