Since the topic here is the Big-O manga, I might as well ask here...

Does the manga follow the anime? Or is it it's own story?

Here's another question: Was there ever a Big O manga for season 2?

For the ending I believe so, but i'm unsure about the episodes. You can read about season two at : KONAKA.com

I believe the Lost Memory manga was a rewrite of the last book of the Manga series. The only time the manga mimicks the show is at the end of the first vol. and the beginning of the second when he finds Dorothy. Otherwise, there are similarities, but there is no episode for issue similarity. (Big Duo shows up, but you see Seebach. Then my fave story is this one about some cyborg. Instro also shows up more.)

At this point, it follows its own story. As I stated earlier, the only time the two are same is when Roger finds Dorothy.

That's kinda what "Lost Memory" is.
Like for example *MAJOR SPOILER*

spoiler (highlight to read):
Instead of Alex plioting Big Fau, Angel does. She also uses Dorothy's CD to pliot it too. The Megadeuses from episode 13/14 also make an apperence.

Here you can read it Here

I haven't read it, but I read, and saw scans of it at AnimeJump.com...

Hey, I'm glad someone started a thread about the manga. I have the first three volumes and then three loose issues that have weird numbering (4-1, 4-2, etc.) and seem to follow the second season storyline. I haven't really looked at 'em since I *think* that they follow the plot of the next episodes. If they do (And I really think they do, just by reading the afterward and letters column at the end...Does anyone know?) then I'm gonna have a really tough time *not* reading them before the eps air.

I haven't seen the Lost Memory one, but I have started collecting the ones from the first season.

Ariga (the manga's storyteller) says that the manga is more of a background shot of everything going on, as well as telling stories about Roger's other negotiation jobs. In fact, the first two stories of volume one deal with his jobs, while it's only the last story of volume one when Dorothy is introduced.

According to the book blurbs, season two manga had started in the fall of 2002, so we should be seeing it soon.

I kinda like the art style in the manga, even though Roger is drawn like a lanky teenager.

Yeah, I do, too. He looks very youthful and cute in the second volume, and by the third volume he looks like regular Roger. In fact, didn't the artist and the creator mention something about that in the back of the second book? At any rate, there's plenty of fun stuff at the end of all the volumes.

Oh those scans are from the ending volume 7 of big O, from what i read there and what i've read at Adult swim it seems like the same ending. I always thought that " Lost memory" was alternate universe type of thing, so maybe that will have a alternate ending. Which would be grand since it only started being printed this year.
