It's okay with me. At the very least, I need to wait for Pen to post again anyway, so I can't do anything right now either. Lock-down seems like a good idea for the time being. There aren't any really pressing things going on right now, and the current events can definitely be put on hold until FP has time to catch up.

As for an alternate RP, I'm not picky. I like Xel's idea. It would be fun to maybe reverse the roles of some of the characters or something.. maybe kick Roger out of the spotlight and make someone else the Negotiator. Y'know, stuff like that. Maybe make it a little less restrictive/goofy so that anyone could post for any character, that way if some of us get busy it's not a big deal because it's not a serious story anyway, like this one is.

On the other hand, something different could be fun too. The only problem would be coming up with something that all of us are familiar with and like enough to want to RP it. Whatever you guys decide, though, I definitely want in. My writing is sorely out of practice lately.

I like the idea of a new RP, sounds like fun. I'm up for it.

SERIOUSLY!! I mean with Lupin's gang you can do just about ANYTHING...you can introduce new characters, new villains, new things to steal, new way Pops can screw up, new reasons for Fujiko to slap Lupin......

Well, one of the things I was going to work into this RP (before I got interrupted) was a background on Snake's work as a negotiator/merc/freelancer (whatever you want to call it).

Yes, lockdown sounds good and alternate universe RPG would be fun. I think goofy would be good. I don't know what the focus would be, or even who would play, but another "Big O RPG, things you'd NEVER see" would be fun.

P.S. If I recall I had actually created an Alternate Universe Big-O RPG. Actually it wasn't so much as an AU but more of a season 3, complete with new characters and everything. The only problem was that I wasn't very good at keeping it organized and I never asked anyone to help. Well I figured i'd just throw that in there.

Hey Darkside, so are we gonna do my idea? I need to know before I can do anything.

(Oh, if you have that megadeus design that needs naming--a full plan--could you e-mail it to me or something? it would help with the naming.)

I'm quoting both, since I want to respond to both. ^_^ Anyway, BF, it sounds like a cool idea. And I'm up for it. I'm a little behind myself, since I haven't time to read the thread so this is a good time for me too. It sounds like fun, and I'm always up for a game.

And as for Evan, yes that also sounds like a wonderful idea. (Despite his posting this being a Lupin fan. j/k) It is true, that anything can happen in Lupin, no matter how random it may seem. That's what Lupin is about, right? Riiiiiiiiiiiiight!

It is true, but consider also the extreme limitations that come with such a small main cast. I'm sure I don't speak for just myself when I say that an overabundance of original characters-- and playing them, at that-- is something of a turnoff.

My vote still goes to an unrelated and significantly more relaxed Big O AU(?). Not only will it keep us in the groove to some extent, it might also help formulate ideas for the main plot-- who knows?

I also agree. It's rare when tons of original characters existing in a pre-concieved universe can work well in an RPG. The only time I've seen it done was in an roleplay called Kingdom Hearts: Entranced (with Nintendo characters!)

Big O silly-verse (or relaxed AU, whatever you want to call it) I like. My considerations also run either to Teen Titans (which could be slightly hard) or something Super Robot Wars style (also slightly hard).

Of course I'm going to have to go with Big O, though, as I have absolutely no knowledge of the other two. I mean, hey-- at least we can be sure it's something we all know, right?

Teen Titans is fairly popular, but you're right on that. Super Robot Wars is a game series that intergrates a huge number of giant robot anime, so that could conceivably have Big O characters and would attract other interestered parties.

I toss my vote in for either Super Robot Wars or alternate alternate Big O.

Physical Traits: Fully tatooed face (tribal designs), bio-mechanical right arm (increased strength, laser welder/cutter in index finger), has a left-sided limp

Occupation: Former Mini-Deus Organic Component

History: Djaxis served in the British Royal Marines as an "O.M.C.U." (Organic Mini-Deus Control Unit [Mini-Deus: An experimental aritficially intelligent combat chassi, adapted from the design schematics of Big O]). Serving for three years, Djaxis proved to be by far the most efficiant Mini-Deus operator. Accepting the orders of his superiors without question, his assigned Mini-Deus, Royal Enforcer 0013 (or Lucky) followed suit. The Mini-Deus were created through liberal adaptations of design schematics found onboard a derilect ocean liner. Labled "Big O," the manuscripts bore no other identifying markings, and their origination remained unknown for years, untill a single phrase was heard over coded airwaves. "Big O." The braodcast came from across the Atlantic Ocean, from a country and landmass thought long dead by the rest of the world. Djaxis was detirmined to be the unit suited best to investigate this event, and was sent out to the ruined America. Unbeknowst to the British Government, the plans for both the Mini-Deuses, and Big O, were leaked by an internal mole to the other Urasian Union members, and three countries created their own Mega-Deuses, and sent them to intercept Djaxis. Arriving in America, with the Megas close behind him, Djaxis was stunned to find Big O waiting to greet them. Due to his size, he remained undetected, but his pursuers were not as fortunate. But Djaxis got to close to Big O, and Lucky ceased to function and interfaced momentarrily with Big O. Royal Enforcer 0013, literally made a copy of Big O's memory core, and implemented it into it's programming. Djaxis cut off communication with his superiors soon after, and dissappeared into the mist with Lucky. What happened during, and after that interface, may impact the not only Paradigm City, but the world as well. For a new interest lies is this unknown land, and a new army, crosses into the unknown, to asses the sitiuation, and erradicate any threats to the Eurasian Union.

Djaxis, in regards to you joining our current roleplay...

...sorry, but no. What I'm following is that you're saying the rest of the world outside of America is perfectly fine, and I'm afraid that just wouldn't work. Furthermore, I have no intention of allowing any more 'super-characters' (no bio-mechanical stuff; Snake, Julia, and Rampage, along with Alan Gabriel and R.D., are quite enough)

However, I do like how you've modified the appearence of Robespierre, Carnot, and Fouche (the three foreign megadeuses), and interwoven your character into that. Perhaps the idea would be better handled in a fanfiction?

I don't wanna join in on the current one, way too much reading in too short of a time. And Djaxis isn't a superguy, just his arm is different, and it's not that much stronger, just enhanced. As I tried to hint with the limp, he is completely mortal and very vulnerable. And for the next roleplay, I can edit out the whole mini-dues bit, but again, he's just good, not superhuman.
