Errors that close browsers suck...

I beg forgiveness my fellow RPG players! I will not have a post up today (Sunday) as it is 11 PM and that to me is time to sleep, but I still have real world obligations to fill.

SO I will try to have a post up tomorrow. At dinner today, I wrote up most of Amelia's post. I just need to add more details. I have Dorothy's almost complete too, but now that I realize I have about...seven hours to cover in one post...we'll see what happens (though I can skip most of that time, but I have a feeling FP's post is going to have info for me...).

So, I can probably move forward with Amelia tomorrow, but I'm sensing we REALLY want Dorothy. (Where do we stand on the Amelia and Alex conflict? Are we interested in going forward with them or should we wait until FP is done?)

Later,

Same is applying to me, as well...I've a few more tweaks I need to make to my post (I'm really not all that satisfied with it now that I've reread it a few times), including the fact that I need to make up another 5 or 6 hours now that we've reached the afternoon of the next day...Sweatdrop

Being as Tuesday is a relatively light day for me all in all, I should have the time tomorrow night to make those last tweaks and finally have the posts...well, posted.

I apologize for the long delay...Embarrassed Sweatdrop
Tifaria 09-26-2004 10:41 PM
Bah, don't worry about "delays"! Eheh, maybe the rest of us shouldn't have been so eager to rush forward without you guys posting.. granted, not a whole lot important has happened, but, um.. sorry about that, guys. Frown

Pen: Not sure about the Amelia/Alex situation, but as soon as Stryker fills in that missing post where Roger takes Emilia to her father and Angel back to his place, it might be nice to see Dorothy's reaction to Roger bringing Angel home with him (if she IS home, anyway, or if she comes home to find Angel there). Should create some friction, depending on what you're planning for Dorothy.
stryker 09-26-2004 11:06 PM
Mwahaha, friction! Perfect RP seasoning! Wink

BTW, if people are thinking that an entire day has passed since the fight with Alan and Vera, no, I think it's only that afternoon, just a few hours have passed. I'll fix up Roger's missing post and have it up shortly, hopefully.
* * * * * * *

Okay, it's a little confused, but Roger going back to the mansion the FIRST time is down after the post where he comes back from the Speakeasy talking with Snake. I know, I'm lost too, and I did it. Wink

In any case, there's plenty of ammo for Dorothy to be jealous and give Roger fits! Big Grin

Yes they most certainly do.

I hope you guys aren't rolling your eyes too much at all the Roger/Angel angst. Big Grin It just so happens that Stryker's last post was another collab (a couple of big chunks written by each of us, and a long part where we alternated paragraphs), if you're curious. The way we've figured it is, we know who Roger's going to end up with, but it's going to be a hard decision. Wink

From what I gathered, the fight with Vera happened at sunrise, lasted a couple of hours, and then there was a couple of more hours of the visit to the doctor and taking Emilia home before Roger got to his house with Angel and went to meet Snake. I'd say it's right around noon or one at the moment.
stryker 09-27-2004 09:53 AM
Oh poo, I completely forgot to mention that it was another collab effort. I'm sorry Tif. I was pretty tired last evening, and got a little yucky even, staying home from work today to recuperate and clean house. You wouldn't believe how much it NEEDS it. Big Grin

In fact just looking the posts over, there are a few things that I need to fix, at least one that makes no sense.

I like the collab thing a lot. The dialog is much livelier and authentic. I know that Alex and Amelia's scenes worked REALLY well as back n forths, but I do wonder what would have resulted if they'd have discussed it and worked out a long dialog. Uh, well... in their case, it may not have been any different, it looks like they did! That was the best string of scenes, I'm really impressed with them.

But with Darkside and Snake, what do you two think of doing some PMs, emails or chatting over IM or ICQ or something? I bet that would work well to give you guys a terrific fight.
Gummibear 09-27-2004 09:58 AM
I agree with Stryker and Tifaria... collab posts are always so great and everything transitions so smoothly! ^.^
stryker 09-27-2004 10:03 AM
Yeah, that's really true in our case, but I have to commend you again on your post, it was excellent! See if you can hook up with Angel later so you can stay involved, I'm sure Roger would approve.

Augh, and I called Darkside RAMPAGE. Yuck, maybe I should go back to bed for a while! Big Grin

Thanks so much! ^.^

Yes I think in a little while I'll have Emilia get in touch with Angel. But first I want to have Emilia sort out some things and give a little more insight in to her life after she discovers her mothers connection to the union. I also want to focus on Robert and Linette Townshend ( Emilia's late mother). I also want to take Tifaria's suggestion and stage a casual encounter with our favorite villian, Beck ( there is a past between them.)^.^! So many things to write!^.^
Tifaria 09-27-2004 10:44 AM
It's okay, Stryker. Big Grin Sounds like you're nearly as tired as Roger is. Tongue

Oh, Angel would love to see Emilia again! It's nice to have someone for Angel to feel protective of other than Roger. Big Grin Maybe later on you and I can collab on some posts, Gummi. I love Emilia because she doesn't have any super-strength or anything, she's just a normal kid with a lot of family issues that she's trying to sort out, and she just happened to get mixed up in some dangerous stuff just because of where she chose to sit one night at the Speakeasy (which, now that I think about it, is kind of Angel's fault, isn't it? Maybe Angel should feel a little guilt.. hmm). Big Grin The same reasons pretty much apply to Amelia Seebach too-- she's just trying to get on with her life when a knock on her door throws everything into chaos. They're great characters.

Anyway.. yay, I'm excited to see Emilia work out some things on her own! I'm curious about her father myself. And yay, an encounter with Beck! That should give him something interesting to do, as he's completely forgotten that he's met Emilia before-- I mean, Angel recognized her when she's only seen her from afar (and she's dyed her hair, to boot!), where Beck didn't recollect their having met at all! What a jerk.

^.^ It would be awesome to collaborate with you on some posts Tifaria! About Beck I was thinking something along the lines of the fact he didn't remember Emilia is what's going to spark some animosity on her part towards him. ^.^ It should be fun having Beck guessing, flipping through his little black book, where it was he met her...lol I can picture the dialouge between them now.

I think it would as well I'll wait for snake to PM me and we'll work out the details from there. But so far Rampage is just trying to kill some time before he's called in by the Union.

Exactly: considering my Norman post was supposed to cover from around the start of the role-play until now, that gives me a lot of extra ground to cover that originialy wasn't in my post (but, again, because of the long sequence of events I really couldn't post it before)...

Granted, I've tried cutting out entire chunks of time, but that really disrupts the overall flow of my post...it's already a lot more choppy than I had initially planned, which is why the revisions are taking so damn long (and the fact that, again, I have several hours to make up that weren't included in my initial post).

Hey, it's no big deal everyone is so eager to move the story along, I certainly can't pin any fault on you guys (I myself have been very pleased with the interaction we've been having recently, and I think slowing down the RP would really hurt it)...it's mostly my fault for trying to make up for a lot of lost time...

We'll see how it ends up. My goal is to have it posted at around midnight tonight, but I really don't know how plausible that will be since I have hit a wall concerning what to have Norman do next (Seebach is easy, since he'll be doing a lot of resting)...
stryker 09-27-2004 06:11 PM
Gee, why don't you leave those parts in, and make your post as long as it needs to be? If it goes back in time a bit, who cares! Those are undoubtedly things we'd want to know about anyway. History is history, dude! Wink

Oh, and having Angel mentor Emilia? That sounds kind of funny and touching at the same time. I bet Angel does make a great older sister/mother figure for Emilia. Those two really are charming. But I'd LOVE to see how Emilia handles Beck! Big Grin

FP you'd better post something soon or Norman and Seebach will still be in the last loop by the time this RPG is over. Tongue

Seriously, post something. If you keep waiting and editing, nothing will be accomplished.

Relax, dude. FP will post when he's ready.

And I, too, shall post when I'm ready. I plan to work on my post tonight and see how far I get before my desired bedtime (I need sleep!) and decide what I'm doing. There is a slight chance you won't see a post until tomorrow at some point from me.

So, please wait a little longer for FP and I. Smile

BTW: Stryker, thanks for the set up! That's perfect! (See I have to explain why Dorothy stayed hidden! Tongue )

Thanks,
Pen1300

*LAUGHS!* Oh my Lord...

I had a feeling that would be a great way to end that scene. This should be reeeealy good. Squirming Roger. Big Grin

Confused I thought Roger was at the Speakeasy when I finish my post??? (which is coming tomorrow...hopefully)

AS I see time line: Roger shows up with Angel, drops her off, leaves for Speakeasy.

EDIT: BTW JA, did you take out the post with Dorothy?

Later,
Pen1300
Tifaria 09-27-2004 09:25 PM
And squirming Angel, while we're at it! Oh man, is Dorothy going to come out of her hiding spot and talk to Angel before Roger gets back? Eeee... that'd be awkward. Well, whatever happens, I'm sure it'll be great. Big Grin

FP, I also agree that if you like, just leave your post as long as you want to. There's nothing wrong with backtracking, even if it is to the previous day. Smile Personally, I hate for you to feel like you need to cut out parts of it that you've worked on for so long just because the rest of us went ahead.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure you're right, Pen.. no, wait! I take that back. Isn't Roger on his way BACK home? I'm pretty sure he is. And Angel is probably sound asleep right now, unaware that Dorothy is lurking around.. Shocked
